  • Wow nice tank

  • Wow, I really really like this tank. I see SOOOOOOOOOO many tanks and this one obviously has an expert behind the wheel. Great job, the video isnt bad either. The sped up part in the beginning is my favorite, you really get to see the territorial behavior of the fish. That yellow tang sure does have his area.

  • yoo what is this song called???

  • Those are some HUGE tangs

  • Beautiful tank, a lot of work has gone into this. You should be very proud.

  • phantogram <3

  • hey ganael great tank as always but i have a question as i really want this coral u have that i am not sure of the name of it... it is the coral at 40 seconds, I assume it is a gorgonian of some sort??? Thanks

  • @admirehomes It is a Purple Ribbon Gorgonian, which is photo-synthetic.

  • @admirehomes It is a Purple Ribbon Gorgonian, which is photo-synthetic. :D

  • @ganael Great thank you so much Ive looked for that corals name forever now! Cant wait to get mine put in my tank now lol! -Saltwater for life -

  • can i keep acroporas 16 inch below water level? ive 20k mh mounted above 10 inchs from the level. my tank lengh is 48 inch height 24 inch depth 18 inch ive 2 mh 150 watt with 2 actinic blue.

  • how did you construct your rockscape?

  • @pbmaniac2009 Piling rocks... :)

  • @pbmaniac2009 you can use dda glue its nice and looks like coralline algae

  • Hi friends! Do u know how to kill red algea?

  • @sdinh1985 if your red algae is "slimey" it could be cyano bacteria - do regular water changes and consider adding a phosphate remover to your system

  • Your tank is absolutely amazing. I have a 125 gal that I'm in the early stages with and I'd love to get where you are! Great job and pretty awesome video!

  • dear ganzel my tomato clown sometimes goes inside my hammer coral and my jewel coral is it harmful for the coral?

  • dear ganzel my tomato clown sometimes goes inside my hammer coral and my jewel coral is it harmful for the coral?

  • It is always sad to lose an animal you try so hard to provide for. I had a mandarin for about a year my self with the pods in there it finally wasted a bit. Do you add live brine shrimp to your tank? I have a 125 which just broke out with Aiptasia. What a pest. Piggy backed on a piece of live rock from another tank and it keeps coming back with a vengence. My butterfly died after a month. How do you care for yours?

  • plz let me know, which is easy to maintain reef tank or only fish tank, acc to u ??

i feel bad when my corals die and to be true they r not cheap to buy . i have to order additives every after to months from singapore REEFMAX products . vat products u use

  • @319PurpleHaze fish tank is way easier. You just need to keep salinity levels, temperature, and make a water change once in a while... With corals comes chemistry and a ton of additives... It's cheaper too... You can always add one or 2 resistant corals like GSP or ricordeas ...

  • me planing to shift to fish only .... vat do u guys say ??

then i can add butterfly fish and good looking fish too . is it true these fish do not stay more than 6 months ????? me confused .

  • my tank size is 48X24X18 Inch what will be the ideal flow rate for me? and what capacity wave makers should i buy?

  • @tonytennis there are sites with flow calculators based on your aquarium size and content. just google it!

  • Phosphate will corse algae hair, get phosban reactor and use media Rowa phos

  • @dm002a8686 ive rowa phos in a reactor and my nitrate is 0.5 but still hair algae problem

  • dear ganzel

my tank size is 48X24X18 Inch what will be the ideal flow rate for me? and what capacity wave makers should i buy?

  • does only phosphate can cause hair algae? my nitrate is undetectable but still hair algae is growing

  • Epic.

  • how is reef octopus skimmer? can i rely on them?

  • @tonytennis omg i have one of them i got for christmas... the thing cleaned the tank so good thats it doesn't even make foam anymore its just bubbles until i stir up the tank... thats how good it cleans. and when you add food it will start to pull it out immediately. and i was sooo impressed when i added some stress coat just to help the fish's slime layer because it was stresses. well i added it and 10 seconds later the skimmer started overflowing pulling right out of the water. ITS AMAZING.

  • @reefguy710 r u talking about reef octopus skimmer? is it a Chinese product?

  • @tonytennis yes the reef octopus skimmer. but i think its kind of like apple the computer company. its founders are n the U.S. but ts manufactured in china and the parts are made in japan, germany, and the US

  • Thanks a lot...looking forward for ur new video...

  • Heyy....need ur advice once again...with an elegance coral...it was fine for the first month after i introduced it....now its polyps are nt that healthy and it doesnt opn lik before...actually this happend after one of my MH lamps were off for about 2days...i used to feed it tropic marine zooton and phyton regularlly..but now i do it in alternative days...another thing...Do u target feed your corals????and do u have a facebuk account...???..if u hav plz post me the link here ..Regards..

  • @shiladitya1991 have you checked you calcium/alk levels. Mine died because of a calcium overdose... They are known to be hard to keep and to die without any explanation. I do know what killed mine, and I had no problem with it before that. I only feed the whole tank once a week with some reefroids and some zoo/phyto powder too. I used to target feed, I find it's a waste of time... I am kinda against facebuk, our lives are too short to waste them pretending living them online... sorry...

  • @ganael --that centrally placed big elegance died?????WHAT.... my dad loves that coral of urs and the acan lord ....*sad sad*....

what is your profession???....im planning to introduce a mandarin...most of these creatures hav a natural apathy towards food..any suggestions with these??...

  • @shiladitya1991 I know, it is very sad, I just don't have the guts to buy another one, I don't want to be responsible for losing another one. I do photoshop and video edits for a record label, cameraman, director, and all around it when needed... Buy a mandarin only if you have minimum 100 gallons, and can literally see pods walking on your rocks. If not, even if your mandarin feeds of frozen food, the other fish might be too fast for it. Mine died after 1year and a half of malnutrition...

  • New video coming up soon, stay tuned... Having less and less hard corals is definitely less work...

  • my no3 is 0 PO 0 calcium 480 pH 8.1 alkalinity 7 and i have one orange sponge coral and its melting i think but the polyps are doing fine. i doze strontium and other elements regularly and Ive 1 actinic blue 10000k, and 1 mh 20000k

  • @tonytennis I find alkalinity at 7 is a little low, I try to keep it between 8-10, even 12 sometimes... I had bought a sponge when I started the hobby, I from my experience they should be added in really old/stable tanks... Be sure not to dose too much strontium as it is hard to measure how much there is in the tank and any excess of it my lower your alkalinity fast. BTW, if you think you have a spnge with polyps, I think you are mistaking it for another coral, maybe a devil hand or a colt ?

  • @ganael i bought a brain coral today will it survive under this circumstances? i doze c balance everyday

  • @tonytennis I think different corals thrive better in different tanks, I don't really know why. I had trouble with my 2 first brains, they died after 1 year in my tank. The last one I got is hanging in there for more than a year now.. I think there is a bit of luck always involved. Anyways, the more stable your tank is, the more chance of keeping it alive. Just be sure not to put it close to an aggressive coral as brains are more peacefull/victim of chemical attacks type. Hope this helps..

  • thanks a lot

  • Need more updates on your tank and setup m8

  • hii gan,

Currently i am using 20000k mh lamp in my reef tank water height is 2 ft light id 1 feet above water level is that fine for my tank?

  • @tonytennis I'd go with 2 x 150watts. Eventually, if you get many accros ant hard corals, i'd upgrade to 250 watts. It's more a matter of what corals you have to decide what power you need. 1 feet above water should be fine.

  • @ganael 20000K is fine? or i shouls buy 10000k or 15oook?

  • @tonytennis it's only a matter of taste, they are all fine. The more you go towards yellow/10000k, the faster your coral grows, but the easier the algae grows too. going toward 20000k/blue-ish, the corals grows slower, so does the algae. 14000k is just in the middle, giving you more of a white, balanced color and growth.

  • hii ganzel,

my tank size is 4ft longX2Ft height X1.5 ft depth currently i am using 1 150 watt 20000k mh lamp with actinic blue tube is this fine?

  • hey,

do you know where i can get somthing so that if my siphon fails on my over flow it will shut off the pump thx, plz respond urgent

  • @meankitty8 You need a float switch which will cut electricity if water gets too high. Just connect 2 (fail safe) of them to your return pump and you should be fine.

  • thanks

  • if i turn my tanks light off for 3 days for hair algae treatment will it affect my anemones ive one long tentacle anemone and a flower anemone.

  • @tonytennis I think anemones can handle 3 days without any major problems, they might appear to have shrunk a bit or they will move again to try to find "the sun"

  • dear ganael,

thanks for your tips for hair algae and i have started following your tips. i have a LTA and its shrinking i think and shifting restlessly how to bring it back to normal? does gac takes all the trace elements? my ph is 8.1 calcium is 480 ppm, ammonia 0, no2 0, no3 near 20 ppm i cant control this my tank is 4ftX2ftX1.5 ft and i have 154 lbs of lr

  • i just started my reef tank days ago and i gotta say im hoping i can have something similar to that :) very nice tank

  • hi ganzel

its Tony from Kolkata after removing po4 and no3 the hair algae will go automatically?

    Tony

  • @tonytennis Hi Tony, removing all po4 and no3 will help, you can always try some ROWAphos or phoslock to give it a boost. Also rinsing frozen food before feeding helps a bit. The real solution is cutting all lights source even natural ones for at least 3 days. Corals will survive, the hair algae should not. Water change is always beneficial too...

    Shiladitya

  • @shiladitya1991 Skimmer is on 24h/7 365 days, I clean the cup every 3 days. I use activated carbon in a reactor and I change it every month or so.

    Thank you!

    Ganzel
