please please please i'm beggin u to realpoad the choro da saudade played by him in this concert , it used to be on youtube but i can't find it anymore !! it was the best played choro version ever plz reply to me
The guitar is actually an ignacio Fleta, the guitar john williams played all through the 60s and 70s before he was introduced to smallman guitars some time in the 80s. That guitar is in fact a spruce (fleta never used cedar+ the spruce used is a darker shade due to either the aging of the wood or the french polish top)
This Video made me a classical guitarist. John Williams, Thank you!!!

Well played, didn't have a proper Latin feel, though!
abielikesu 2 years ago
@abielikesu Who said its Latin? It's Paraguayan. The composer is Agustin Barrios, born in Paraguay.

@ditman333 And where is Paraguay located? Isn't it in LATIN America?
What I tried to say is that JW plays very well (technically) but lacks "feeling" sometimes.

@abielikesu LoL! just cuz he doesn't make dumb faces does not mean he lacks feeling. He has more feeling than any other guitarist iv ever heard.

@ditman333 I totally agree.

The bravado of 1:50-2:00 would make the great Barrios himself smile approvingly ... JW in great shape!

Ignacio Fleta did make cedar top guitars. JW's 1961 Fleta had spruce top but his1972 Fleta had cedar top.

@frogimore That is a Fleta, but he used cedar for tops also.
