  • Wow the harmonica at the end makes me very nostalgic... this and "Can't Buy Me Love" are two songs that I heard as a tiny tiny kid and have always stuck with me.

  • ..best band ever, right there.

  • 1 person doesnt have a place! -__-

  • fuck, they are perfect

also wasn't this from 1963? maybe i'm mistaken.

  • @CastfireTheAwesome Yeah I think it was 1963 too

  • @CastfireTheAwesome It was released 22 March 1963, so yes

  • ....almost a half century ago! Will anyone be listening to today's crap 50 years from now?

  • @BradinPhilippines:

No, todays music has little melody or distinctiveness. 50 years from now folks won't be able to hum or sing what melody?

  • There is something so powerful about the moment where they sing "Like I love only you", it's almost like this profound moment of realisation and recognition that you love one person above all others, I can't quite explain it but that line really gets me

  • Released in 1963 not 1962. Sorry to be pedantic but when it comes to the Greatest, you should get your basic facts correct.

  • if you type this in youtube:

How to sing There's a place Beatles vocal harmony breakdown lesson

You get to see the breakdown of this incredible and awesome harmony. The beatles were in a league truly of their own, and its a frickin tricky harmony to say the least.

  • Haha 1:23 "I CARN'T SPEL" I love you so much Ringo!! XD

All my friends think I'm mad for being in love with 2 old and 2 dead lads from Liverpool, but it doesn't bother me one bit. They're amazing! And this is coming from a 13 year old. ;)

  • @MsRyrybread i am exactly the same way. even my sister thinks i'm weird for liking them so much. i am also 13. :3

  • Don't you know that it's so? <3

  • asdfghjklsdrifuherouhfewo this song makes me wanna punch a child because it just makes me so happy. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK I LOVE THIS SONG SO DAMN MUCH.

  • Lennon's harmonica was his hidden soul, and his art too defined that soul; I really believe the other Beatles were all catching up to him from '61-'66 as he led them creatively and you can hear it in Paul's and Ringo's memories. George absolutely adored John, and therein lies the genius.

  • This particular song from Please, please me album was far ahead of its time then; enormous songs; fabulous harmonizing, ed

    w w w eddy nu

  • @wwweddynu i agree with you 100%..in fact i was going to write the same thing before i saw your post..LENNON'S harmonica has a strange haunting sound to it..the song even sounds a bit off-key but still flows nicely..

  • there's 1 person whom doesn't have a place to go!

  • The Beatles forever

  • Hey Tiago, do you like ?

  • The Beatles rock!! Ever since I heard Yellow Submarine I loved them. I get bullied at high school for it. But really crazymind is right.

I think Beatlefans are dieing out and as one of them Im going to try too get more videos to them I just need to get a camara!

  • @MinecraftMarines

Bullied for liking the Beatles? Haha what the Hell is wrong with your school? Play some Zepp

  • @MinecraftMarines Are you kidding me? I don't know where you live, but at my high school there are tons of Beatles fans. I mean they are those Beatle fans that only know the mainstream songs or only wear the t-shirts to look cool, but still. I can't imagine someone getting bullied at my school for liking the Beatles. I actually see so many fans that I get sick of it sometimes. And I love the Beatles. If I didn't I wouldn't be listening to this song.

  • @jimmyjams1995 at my school, i mention the beatles and everyone thinks i'm talking about a bug.

  • @Themusiclover402 You should consider new friends.

  • How do all these amazing songs have such few views and all those other crap songs from today have a ridiculous amount??? I do not understand.

  • Lovely song... I've never heard this song before... I thot I knew all their songs

    Just WOW, .... Beautiful.

  • How Come The Good Songs Are At The Bottom Of The Suggestion Bar And Bad Songs At The Top?

  • There is no way I can stay sad when I hear these guys! It is just as good as British comedy for a pickup when one is sickly.

  • @MicroWorldLover ....too right!!!

  • it was released in 1963

  • These guys cannot play one good tune or sing at all. What's make them so great?

    Just kidding....lol

  • @jpsmart59 better be....

  • @FamilyGuyGirlL I was serious. Just kidding....lol Have a nice day.

  • This is my favorite Beatles song. "There's a place where I can go, when I feel low, when I feel blue. And it's my mind, and there's no time when I'm alone." Resonates with me a lot.

  • what a great b-side,,,,,i really like this song better than the a-side twist and shout

  • I love Paul's face at 0:47 :D

  • Beautiful.

  • I really love this song, I could say that it's my favourite one. Thanx and congratulations for this version,it's extended, isn't it? The voices sound like far...the guitar is awesome. Why don't you do the same with some other songs? "PLEASE,PLEASE US" A really goo job and how do you do it?

  • can anyone tell me what that background instrument is? it sounds something

like a harmonica. Loved the lyrics"in my mind theres no sorrow"

  • nobody dislikes the video how awesome is that :D

  • The genius of this is its slight 'roughness' - you can imagine hearing it live.

  • The Beatles' oeuvre is a wonder ful place. You can play through an album, and find some gem tucked away in there.

  • Fourth grade. sitting quietly listening to this. Still gives me shivers.

  • @artsyfartsme I have read four titles concerning the Beatles; "Shout", "The lives of John Lennon", "The Last Days of John Lennon" and "Magical Mystery Tour". I no longer have those books but the passage I refer to was in one of those, I am sorry I cannot give you the title and page number. You might want to Google this and see what you come up with a well. There has never been a group like the Beatles then and now and I believe it was not just due to chance.

  • No....it never gets old <3 the best band on earth just never gets old, and thats why theyre still around and loved today. BEATLES FOREVER!!!

  • @stonegrooved It's not "singing flat". John sings the lower harmony for the verses, Paul is singing the octave above John in the middle chorus, and Paul then sings harmony on the final chorus with John still on the melody line.

  • If you really want to dig and discover some of the theories of the Beatles success, it may shock all of you....I read that Lennon admitted at a young age while looking into the mirror, his face would distort and change and he heard voices...before the Beatles hit it big it was written Lennon asked this "voice" when he would "hit it big", the voice responded "soon"..Lennon himself admitted something came over him and would see the music and lyrics in his head....nonsense?...I dont' think so

  • @rainstormz28 Mozart was the same way...

  • @rainstormz28 Very interesting.. I'd like to hear more.

  • The wild harmonica sets the tone of this fantastic early Beatle song...Lennon provides the main vocals....a clean and revolutionary sound the world had never heard before...once heard, you could never forget....in my opinion, that is what it was, their early work was like nothing ever recorded or heard and subsequently astounded the whole world.

  • this song is a jewel.

  • 1:23 ahah

  • Freaking love this song.

  • @AshKatchEmAll I freaking love THEM.

  • The Beatles song that got me hooked.

  • This is one of the best Beatles songs! (Easily)

  • :O Great video, where did you get all these pictures?

  • is there a place for beatle maniacs to go? cuz i swear im on my own where im from...

  • The Beatles=The greatest Rock Band

Led Zeppelin=The greatest Hard Rock band

Black Sabbath=The greatest Heavy Metal band.

    Thumbs up if you Agree!!

  • I fukin LOVE this song...So many brilliant songs by the fab four...especially John Lennon...The Best :)

  • i love this song its very very perfect

amo esta cancion es muy muy perfecta

esta chidisima me recuerda cuando empeze a escuchar a the beatles

  • Amazing

  • haunting and brilliant the one and only......

  • Like everyone, I LOVED The Beatles; however, that having been said, this is one of my top five favorite Beatles' songs. Great music, great memories! Thanks for the post.

  • Theres a place??????

  • Yes, I´m a Beatlemaniac..... so what?? jijiji...

  • BEATLES AND LED ZEPPELIN noth said.

  • @Willrobert92 Well said!!

  • Years later I read McCartney said they were covered in ink because their suits where dyed purple before they left and when they played on stage the sweat made the ink run and it covered their hands and when they would scratch their faces it made their faces purple as well, and if you google "Savage young beatles" go to the first website that comes up, Look up August 1960 and you can see pictures of them on that day. Although its in black and white, you can see their hands are discolored

  • If you can believe it, my father saw these guys at the Indra club in the summer of 1960 when he was in the US Navy. They got shore leave in Hamburg and went down that Reeperbahn looking to get laid and heard Little Richard and went down into the club and there was nobody there, but they stayed for a beer and saw "these morons covered in purple ink" (as he put it) then they left because the beer was too much. Years later I read McCartney said they were covered in ink because their suits

  • love this song :D

  • Is it possible for the beatles to make a bad song? 37,000 views and not one dislike. I think that speaks for itself

  • I listen to this song.. and I don't even feel mad towards the fatass that shot lennon.

I just enyoi the music ^_^

  • Listen to guitar on the right channel. wow. a lost art, rhythm guitar.

  • Hot harmony by John and Paul. This song will never age. 48 years on .... stiil great And what about the harmonica? ALL TIME CLASSIC

  • merde une des chansons que j'adore ...depuis mes 15 ans

    Kitty

  • The Beatles are fucking bad ass

  • Awesome harmonies by young kids. pure genius. How they did it ill never know.

  • @fogg1264 Thank their amazing producer, George Martin.

  • @GGTarz Yeh, but john & paul worked out the harmonies themselves when they wrote this & all their early songs.George Martin wanted the Please please me album to sound like a gig at the cavern & just let them play their repetoire of originals & covers. It wasnt until later with Eleanor Rigby & Strawberry fields etc that Georges talents really showed through.

  • Fabulous song...you could clearly hear these guys had talent. The vocals are terrific really cutting through the mix. BTW This song was recorded in February '63....and not in '62...not that it really matters ;)

  • amazing. Absolutly amazing music.

  • I read something about this song, about what is so brilliant about John--if that bears repeating--how he could capture musically and lyrically, his feelings. Listen to that forlorn harmonica. It's as if, the persona wants to get to that place, but really the sadness is always going to be there. John said himself about "Help," that he wasn't really aware of what he was doing until after writing the song. That was his incredible ability. So sad he's gone.

  • 0:53 ........... when it changes... I think that's a point right there... i dunno. I always feel something right there. such a great song

  • Comment removed

  • It's amazing how the 4 men changed the entire world. Truly amazing. I don't think they themselves know what they did even before we lost John and George. I did read where they didn't understand their popularity in the early years. They just went with the flow 'SO TO SPEAK'.

  • So right brof. These songs bring thoughts, feelings and comfort to my head, heart AND soul. I don't know how else to explain it.

  • Oh you don't have to explain it. We all know.

  • Thanks brof :)

  • I agree!

  • They were awesome

  • so right brofranomo

  • Had to tell you again.

  • @msmomo2u Thanks. I work with an Iranian that was there in Iran back then and he told me they had the same effect in the middle east also. He said "it was just crazy they way everyone loved them."
