Three times I went to his concert. Three times I had the joy and pleasure of listening to this great voice which sounds even better live, not something one can say for most of the performers today.
Hey, there you are again :-) Hope all is well on the Emerald Isle :-) I'm sure it is. Mr. Cohen is as good as they come! I haven't seen him live, though. I'm sure it is one of those lasting great memories in life!
You always seem to pair music and image so pleasantly and appropriately...another winner! Thanks for posting this (good to see a few new ones on your channel).
Indeed, yet I think more relationships have dissolved because of emotional distance than physical. And I haven't really found a good way to say good-bye and it is often difficult to find the good in any goodbye until much later.
i am not looking for another as I wonder in my time...Walk me to the corner, our steps will always rhyme....

sometimes a voice calls to your soul, regardless the words...
even goodbye is sweeter than nothing else...
beyond our understanding, love
the ribbons that bind

"You know my love goes with you
As your love stays with me"
unless, well, unless there's a bigger wallet that fits your love to a "T"
you may want to put some distance between our love and the truth, in that case!

well, I dont understand "in city and in forest". Why? and, what does it mean "I'm not looking for another as I wonder in my time"?

Haunting video, nice. It makes me wonder when he sings "but now it comes to distances" if he is talking emotional distance or physical? Hmmmm

Thanks for finding this and commenting :-)
Here's the quote:
"But now it's come to distances and both of us must try"
He leaves it open to interpretation, doesn't he :-)

Lovely video...really nice images to capture the lonesome, lost feeling this song always gives me.
Nice live version and the "mouth harp" and subtle change in tempo gives it a different feel than the original recording.
Enjoyed your visual interpretation of one of my favorite Cohen classics :)
