In Ladbroke Grove this is how we show our appreciation, through rowdy, excitable expressions of joy. Those people on here talking about the crowd being disrespectful or ruining it are clearly dead from the neck down. Plug in your fucking headphones and go and listen to your ipod in the library. Live music should be alive and so should the audience.
@Joepubliq When the song feels that exquisite, you have to run it back from the top. Sometimes I do that on my iPod! Rocking out on the Metro! (or "the tube" for you guys)
Another words... back up the track and play it again!!!
It's a thing that stems from reggae culture. Where the dj would play a dope tune, getting a great reaction from the people in the crowd, prompting him to "wheel it back and come again", or "rewind the tune"...
check the other post I made - for a crowd to do this is a MASSIVE mark of respect and love for the band and the song.
Example.. when you play your favorite song on CD at home i'm sure you sometimes rewind it to the start before the song ends because it's so sweet. That is what they were calling for and that is common in crowds like this.
Notice, RAMP did say thank you, and 2nd time around, the crowd sang along!
yeah yeah, it's supposed to be showing respect and appreciation, but it comes off as intrusive and annoying. the intent is there, but the end result is a mess, period. peeps should just be quiet and enjoy the tunes.
