@Kyroshi1 Weed was used all over the world by then. For example: a lot of 20's/30's rembetika songs from Greece - the 'Greek blues' - are about smoking weed.
I never heard of Django Reinhardt till a good friend told me about his music. Very nice very relaxing music very glad I found new singer to listen too.
oscar aleman was definatly NOT copying django... he did play alot of gypsy style jazz, but he is from argentina and plays all sorts of styles from hawaiian- influenced slide to flamenco to blues, oh AND he was a great singer, not to mention a great preformer.. django as godlike as he is didn't sing or do any type of stage antics...also, Aleman started his recording career at the age of fourteen in 1929 and played all the way up into the 80's... i guess what i'm trying to say is respect!!
What could be better than this?

oscar aleman version is quite better than this.. plz check it
yago2br 2 years ago
A. Couldnt find him playing Jeepers
B. Listened to some stuff, he's just playing Djangos style (i.e. copying) and he isnt as good, tho he is talented.
So I'd have to disagree until I hear this version you speak of.
