I have instructions that basically use the bind off and cast on - but they don't tell you how to do this - turn work, pass over stitches, etc. This just cleared up everything. Now I have to try and see if I can do it. Rip first.

I'm so glad you knit in the 'continental' fashion. I've watched several buttonhole videos where the knitter wraps the yarn from her right hand and it's confusing to me because I hold the yarn in my left hand! Thanks for the video! I look forward to watching more of your videos.
