FYI, car was only about 140whp with the above mods - they actually made the car slower because the car was being built for high-end turbo. Without the turbo it probably ran 17's, now it should be in the low 12's.

car is far from carb legal. the idle was messed up in the vid, it was fixed and it lobes hard now. car is currently down with the long-awaited turbo being installed. i'll post back up when the car is out on the streets again (couple weeks). the car should sound a lot better with the turbo.

Sounds like there's no resonator, silencer, or muffler on that exhaust. It must be really light weight and have a great flow! Did you modify the exhaust in any way?
it's not that hard to make a car sound like a turbo... just a bit tricky.. most people do it on accident. (basically a right mixture of the intake and the exhaust.) ftmfw though! i like :D
not really. the ka24de is the big block of the 4 bangers. the only reason ppl didnt get lots of parts is cuz the jdm market never had it. its got great potential.
Maybe a little less, because his HG is 1.3mm instead of the stock 1mm so that's gonna work against him, but I guess all that other stuff made up for it....

Because I could've gotten so much more out of it if I just got the stg.3 set and replaced the valvetrain. You figure that+a thinner hg on a stock block would equal a lot of fun with replacements (for the block at least) that wouldn't be all that pricey.
do you know nothing about nissan? The ka24e was used in the hardbody trucks from 90-97 and the ka24de was used in the exterra and frontier. Both of these motors were also used in a variety of cars. The ca was never used in a truck, especially the ca18det you mentioned. Have you ever heard of a nissan truck that was turbo from the factory?
actually KAs have some potential, they come from a truck, so they have good low-end torque, if u turbo it, it is pretty good allready, im not a big turbo guy, but it helps.
