Fantastic. Would have been amazing if you had few other gopros on a different angles. Am surprised the suction mount did hold the camera on that speed!! I would be nervous to use it on a car.
@jackyboiii what about it? why is it bent your asking, cause of the lens. the lens is curved thats why only the center isnt worped and everything else look like the side of a glass of water. also other times when it looks like it changes shapes and place thats because sometimes the propeller closest to the camera makes it into the frame. propeller probably spins at 40rev per sec lets say and camera shoots 60 or 120 frames per second. so not every frame but every few will catch the prop.
@Pierodatrieste Actually on the vmc rules table there's a minimum height even on mountains or places where there are no buildings or people, they are made to protect the pilot and the crew, should be 1000ft if I'm not wrong, cheers mate
In the US the FAR's state an altitude restriction of 500ft AGL in nonpopulated areas except for takeoff and landing activities. You're thinking of MSA, which is Minimum Safe Altitude, an advisory altitude provided on sectional charts that is, as you said, a safety net. But it is not the actual restricted altitude.
@Pierodatrieste - US FARs (91.119) state that minimum altitude may be as little as 0' AGL, as long as no danger is posed to people or structures on the ground in the event of an engine failure. Clearly, no one is in harm's way if the engine failed on the RV-4.

whats with the propeller ?
jackyboiii 1 month ago 14
@jackyboiii
It's rolling shutter due to the CMOS sensors of the GO Pro.

@pjm600 finally someone who knows what they are talking about with the propeller, it isnt the shutter speed...
kguitark12 1 week ago
@jackyboiii its to do with the frame rate of the camera, its recording something that is spinning faster than 25fps or whatever it films at
samosborne37 1 month ago
@jackyboiii The shutter speed and propeller, it's hard to explain.
itsNards 1 month ago
@jackyboiii The shutter speed is at a slower rate than the propeller.

@jackyboiii that happens with fish-eye lenses... weird effect
sailorz7 4 weeks ago
@jackyboiii Thats because of the camera and at how many FPS its shot. Nothing wrong with the propeller :)

@jackyboiii not enough fps for the speed of the propeller
Olaavjuhzz 1 week ago
@jackyboiii its a type of sensor that the GoPro camera uses that is different from other cameras

@BFREIES the "curve" in the prop is what im talking about

@jackyboiii its because the frame rate of the camera isnt fast enough to keep up with the propeller speed
NBXRacing 5 days ago
@jackyboiii thats a graphical anomaly that happens because of the difference in fps of the camera and how fast the propellar is spinning

what about the vmc rules? you were flying like a hundred meters above the mountains
Pierodatrieste 1 month ago
@Pierodatrieste Looks to me like there's no people or buildings nearby, and thus there are no altitude restrictions.
