My father and his wife cut me out of their lives when I was 14 after I broke down due to witnessing their abusive relationship. I am twenty now and I have never met my five year old sister. @666SCandy Every time your mind turns to him, catch yourself at it and deliberately turn it somewhere else. If it takes something as silly as putting a big rubber band around your wrist and snapping it every time you think of him, then do that. I went through a time like that recently...after a breakup with a guy I truly loved. It was really tough on me. I am dealing with my best Friend dieing who is now 29 Today is her birthday. She has cancer and 3 weeks and three days ago she was told she has four weeks about to live. It is really really hard to deal with this.This song I love it. that is all I can say. I will never know how she feels but I do know that she is in a lot of pain and all I can do is be there for her. Ilove her and we are so close. I would trade places with her in a minute if I could.

A friend directed me to this song, and I found it here. I caught my gf of three years with another man three weeks ago. All the lies, all the deceit ... it is driving me crazy. She was the love of my life ... and told me I was the love she had been looking for all her life. Turns out she is a user, and has a history of stringing men along. It really sucks, because she had me convinced. "One day I will..." Even though today I am crying and a basket case because of how far I have fallen.

This song reminds me that things can get better but when your living my life.. They dont. It's hard trying to keep holding on new things just come and slap you in the face. Its so hard getting over a heartbreak.. when you thought you knew someone and then when you break up then he absolutly changes into something you never saw.. The lyrics kinda describe when it says you wake up and you wonder why your here. I feel that everyday. I wish growing up was easier :P

These last few years of middle school have been hard on me. I lost my very best friend and for a while I felt like I was all alone. But last year I met the most amazing people in the world and I don't know where I'd be if they weren't there for me. I just started 9th grade last month, my very last year of middle school and so far so good :) Now I'm excited for the future because I know things can only get better. I'm only 14, I'm not giving up on life yet!

This reminds me so much of my ex Adam, who hurt me, left me, and cheated on me, even after telling me he loved more than anything in this world. His betrayal just about killed me, but I made it through. Sadly, I did not find this song at the time, but as I look back i realize that Lady A is 100% correct. I held on strong and sure enough found the REAL man of my dreams in the process, who I love dearly. Sorry Adam, but no matter how much you think you got the best of me, you really got the worst.

I had my heart broken really badly. I liked a friend of mine (now ex-crush) and he had lied about knowing.I got backstabbed and I refused to be friends with him, but I hope someday I'll find the right one for me. I went through a time like that recently...after a breakup with a guy I truly loved. It was really tough on me. And when this song says "down the road the sun is shining" I just keep thinking back to a few months ago when I still cared so much...but, "every cloud has a silver lining" and thats so true because I met someone that makes me happier than I've ever been before. I'd go through it all again if I got to be with the guy I love.
