  • "I have surfed the gulf from bob hall peir to sebastian inlet"

you are the kook for posting this crap..

    Scripp 3 years ago

This guy is a F N kook! claims he has surfed the " gulf" from bob pier to sebastian inlet....hey fag, let me know when they figure out a way insert an inlet on the west coast named sebastian cause sebastian is on the east coast. oh but i forgot, you surfed pipe and blah. you prob suck kook. Dont start talkin shit when you dont even know what coast sebastian on.

  • if you think this is anywhere but the GC you're not very intelligent.

  • they has 55.5 foot bouy readings in the golf, which translates to yikes..get this 105 foot waves!!!!!

  • How many hours out was the storm? That's pretty nice and clean for a hurricane swell compared to the east coast when a storm hits.

  • where can I find the song?

  • Idiots. . .I live in Floria close to where this was shot. I can say 100% this was shot in the Gulf Coast. We actually get surf bigger then that. (Category 5 hurricane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) You must know very little about what hurricanes can do and what it did to New Orleans. Just to prove you idiots wrong google all those names at the end of the video. They all live on the Gulf Coast. Idiots

  • @Utuber420able stop crying!

  • As someone living in Naples (SW Florida), I thought I'd mention that this looks exactly like Gulf water (the particular color it gains from the ultra-fine sediment/sand that gives us those super soft beaches). Even the wave formations looks the same, just gigantified (they're completely asymmetrical, as compared to the consistency you see from the Pacific.. which only makes sense if there isn't generally a heavy wave action to organize the ocean floor into ridges that produce consistent waves).

  • ive been to the gulf many times and the waves are usualy half a foot to 2 feet haha. its amazing to see what a hurricane can do to the water

  • song name?

  • wont let me post link... type in "chance bros surf ike" for yourself... IKE was right up there with KATRINA

  • for the chicken littles who don't think the gc gets this big... heres another youtube link that verifies the panhandle got big during IKE

  • wow i just read all these posts from years ago... scripp is a fucking kook and obviously doesn't know anything about the gc. "I surfed 30 ft Mav's " my ass. Not so often does it break like this, but it happens. Gulf coast goes off on the right swell, and i say the panhandle catches the best of it. Wish I could've made it up for this. Hopefully cane season 2011 has some to offer for the gulf coast!

  • There's nothing in that video to say that is wasn't FL. The water looks like FL. It doesn't look very pacific, so much sediment, but there are places like that in CA as well. It gets big very rarely in S.Padre TX, but it can happen, only when there's a big ass hurricane or storm with the right wind.

I don't know if it's the same in FL, but in TX, the waves aren't consistent, even when they're 'big'. Lots of paddling. Still, a crappy day in the surf is better than the best day in an office.

  • what is with you guys? why can't you believe this is the Gulf ? 6 years later and people are still debating whether this was the Gulf?? I can assure you it was the Gulf of Mexico at Panama City Beach, Florida! Check out an archived issue from summer 2005 of Surfer Magazine or ESM and you'll see a lot of the same stuff. Do a little research and you'll see plenty more surf this size from Katrina.

  • @REVPRO1 people still dont know how intense katrina was, where i live on the gulf it was like we still got hit by a smaller hurricane, surf wasnt near this good but still great for the gulf

  • i agree with scripp. this most definitely is not the gulf of mexico. you are all retarded if you think so. scripp sounds like hes a seasoned surfer and knows way more than all you kooks combined. go boogie board or something....

  • 1:00 you see her now you dont

  • i hope there are some more hurricanes in the gulf...the gulf, when there are swells, produce some very awesome waves.

  • ha man that was some fuunn surf i am the surfer in 1;14 that day was alot of broken boards leashes and a couple bones

  • Great vid....that is all

  • I love the hand honey music. Thats another tell tale PCB sign. Ah, takes me back. I miss those guys.

  • its the gulf for sure. the truth is in the face. the gulf when firing has a very deep green face. emerald more so in the handle.... rock on fla

  • god i hope another hurricane hits the gulf before its mad cold.

  • i hope another level 5 hurricane hits the gulf

  • 3:36 .... Guy ate it

  • @Scripp ...i never saw these comments...now i really feel bad for you...your that old and dont know the panhandle goes off?...hmm

  • @Scripp ...hahaha you fuckin idiot....you really dont know what your talking about do yyou? I have personally been in the water with waves that big in the panhan....and even if you go south and catch it at the right time you will still find head hi surf dipshit

  • I surfed Katrina at Bradenton Beach 3 piers and also Venice Jetties. Those waves did pound!

  • @Scripp You have obviously never surfed the Gulf. There are plenty of good shorebreaks and first /second bar breaks. The waves are cleaner in general than the EC on a clean up day.

  • biggest swell ever on the gulf for u guys? didnt know itgot that big there. oh yea i forgot. jersey pounds harder

  • @mrjerseysurfer ...your a fucking joke to surfers everywhere...you live on the atlantic ocean we live in a gulf you faggot...i hope your shit "pounds" fucking queeer

  • @mrjerseysurfer Haha get over yourself man... california pounds harder then you, hawaii pounds harder then there, hossegor harder then there, teahupoo harder then there... so go suck all their dicks.

  • @mrjerseysurfer Don't think Jersey has EVER produced a pro surfer.

  • @Surfwtw Mike gleason, Dean Randazzo, Sam Hammer, Brendan Buckly, PJ Raia, Quincy Davis, and Micheal Dunphy to name a few. so before you try to be a hard ass, know your shit.

  • @420passitaround Never heard of any of them.

  • @Surfwtw look them up. they all have videos on youtube probably.

  • I have Broke more boards in fl than C.R and Dominican REP..majoity of them on fl's west central gulf coast.... Where i live and Grew up. Too bad they Dredged Most of the kick ass spots in the 90's

  • And Folks Say we dont have surf in FL's Gulf coast..... Well when was those peps obviouslly not at the beach... Surfed many places and the gulf will pound you harder at its crazy crosschop... I hve rode Beach street a Little bit smaller but KILLER l hand break

  • what beach????

  • This is fucking awesome

  • unfortunately the waves in galveston are almost never this big except for hurricane season (of course) and the occasional swell.

  • paul fraley, were the hell r u ?? surf slam!!

  • yeah man. they are from NC. and as i check ASG, i have to say these dudes are a tight unit for sure!!!! I like there punk metal mix.. thanx again bro!!

  • yeah ok dorkinartica

  • thanks man!!! i just bought there cd "the silence begins" off cd baby... tough shit for sure... hey, clink on my link and go to favorite vids, last page last vid is "gulf coast ground swell" i have to test you once again, i think the audio is from "killer bee" correct me if im wrong!!!!

  • Dude this video is sick, I can't believe the way some of those waves came together like that.

  • bad tune!!!! who is this????

  • the gulf coast has epic waves. theres a killer break at captiva island. a place called dog bones and holland beach. i surfed tropical storm bob in 84 there. it was large, big clean off shore large. full stand up!!!!!the gulf goes off. dont be fooled. timing is everthing....

  • your an idiot

  • This is one of the best surfing videos I've seen... all be it short. Tastefully done indeed.

  • for all you doubter just shut up you dont even live here and your passing judgement i have lived here all my life and although it doesnt get that big that often it does happen

  • Wow...you are really making yourself look dumb. Panhandle gets epic if hurricane's pass by at the right angle. i was at amazons on this day and it was as good as it gets in florida.

  • awesome video, whats the song?

  • You'd think at your age you would know how to be mature admit you're wrong. If the furthest south you've been is BHP, then you've missed some of the best the gulf has to offer.

  • Whats this song?..

  • Hi Scripp, why would we post a fraudulent video showing somewhere else and saying it was the Gulf? You can be assured the video is entirely of the Gulf during a Cat 5 storm. Just ask Matt Kechele, Keven Welsh (SurfNRG), and Surfer Magazine, they were all there as well. They also came back for IKE.

  • Scripp, Apparently you haven't surfed the right spots along the NW Florida Coast. The breaks can be just fierce as you see on the video. It is all about being there when its on... My guess is Panama City at St. Andrews pass but NCO club at Destin has produced the same kind of waves on certain conditions.

  • that kinda looks like the wedge

  • your a kook...

    get on our LEVEL

  • Bush was fishing and could have cared less about the people of New Orleans! Pay back time! Time to vote for OBAMA!!!!!! Time to kick some phony republican ass!

  • You dumbass, it's the state's responsibility to help hurricane victims in THEIR STATE. That's why we have a national guard in each state, retard.

  • Scripp's a f**kin kook.

    KIL

We dont want you and your buds on funshapes and longboards crowdin the water.

  • get swallowd by one of those double over head

barrles, take a deeeeep breath ;]

  • I'm an ex G-town surfer who spent a year at NAS Pensacola. I never made it down to Panama city, but know the Fla gulf gets some good surf. Most Texas surfers will never go there , would rather go to Costa Rica or some other destination. They are really missing it.Fla has the most beautiful beaches, and water.Alabama Point was my main break when I was there. Right out the back gate of the base. Had some fun times with the cute sucker fish sticking on the bottom of my board at the Pensacola pier.

  • bunch of barney's
