Are you talking about the "29" number that appeared in the CM? If that's what you're talking about, it's just saying that there are 29 pages concerning Code Geass R2 in this Newtype magazine. Also, 29 is quite peculiar for the number of episodes, thinking that 2-season animes usually have 24, 25, 26 or 28.

Actually there IS an explanation as to how Lockon survived. In one of the side stories, a pilot survived an explosion on his neck because GN particles flooded the cockpit and stopped his bleeding. GN particles were all around Lockon before the cannon blew so his injuries would not have killed him right away. Who recovered him is the real question if anyone did.

Because of that rather annoying and complicated method of survival I would prefer it if that was his twin, Lyle.

lockon was floating in space and wasn't in a cockpit. there was nothing to flood. the particles would've dispersed right away.he was confirmed as dead. and if you're talking about fon, the guy's a monster, can't be compared to lockon.
