In answer to the question- yes there are far too many illegal immigrants in Bedford. Immigration is normally a good thing (genetic diversity, new ideas, ect) but it has been allowed to go unchecked for too long & I think a five year closed door policy followed by well managed immigration can only be a good thing. Also in my experience many of the immigrants (illegal or otherwise) in Bedford seem unwilling to incorporate themselves into our society & often live within there own sub society.

In my experience the problems come when the local authorities house entire estates or allow whole geographical areas to be dominated by immigrant cultures, this form of divisive multiculturalism is wrong and generates misunderstandings and hate. In my town we have Indians fighting with Pakistanis fighting with local poor population and Eastern european immigrants, an easy way to collect votes though?...
