@Ju7eo Hmmm ... maybe you have selected the wrong viewing options ... now that YT has introduced a variety of viewing options it's actually made it more difficult for some people to put the side-by-side videos the right way around.
Try a different web browser ... YouTube keep trying to improve their site, and sometimes the changes they make make things worse in certain web browsers ... but for sure, this experiment was not my most successful ;)
@nytram1309 all I know is that they have to be parallel to give the perfect non flawed 3D picture. if you deal with action adventure movies liek avatar you ahve to experiment a bit but to simple thing sliek this it should be parallel
@Mikey234432 I don't think the subject material has anything to do with it. Of course if you incline the camera lenses you introduced "Keystone" effect which can be removed by SMM ... but if you do not incline the lenses close up 3D is impossible because the object falls outside the field of view of one of the lenses. The stereo base and focal length of the lenses also have to be taken into account. At the end of the day it's an illusion ... it's NOT 3D ... and we're all experimenting :)
@timar03 So you'd prefer the view of an eagle hawk ... able to zoom in and see a mouse at 500m :) hey, it was just my first attempt ... see my last effort filmed with 2 iPod Nanos ... much better :)
ow the lenses are too far apart from each other. It won't work unless they are at a similar angle to what the eyes are naturally. Now my head hurts...
It seems to work, but the perspective is very forced. I think your cameras might have been more than eye width apart. Still, that makes it more eye-popping in this sample!
It's so exciting to see everyone getting back into stereograms since the early camera era!
No ... the clips are set correctly as you'll figure if you pause the video. The problem is not having set the toe-in of the cameras correctly which needs to be done for close up work ... just as the angle of your eyes converges when you look at something close. It's all just a bit of fun of experimenting and trying to get a good result!
Same distance as in all my other attempts here on YT. Maybe the angle of convergence could have been better? What all this really needs is a rig where both cameras can adjust angle and focus automatically by tracking the object ... just like our eyes do :)
i wonder, did you get the stereoscopic distance correctly? Because the distance between your hands and your body have my two images very far apart from each other when i focus on your arm
No effect 3d homie :P

wow, this one makes me dizzy, probably because the cams aren't identical. And I agree with @timar03 that the angle is huge.

good, but too hard too focus, it ends up blurry

I see it a lil not too... hmm... not too in a right angle. But anyways, that's pretty good, I'm going to try to do the same XD

my eyes hurt there is something wrong with this
JASONE1986 1 year ago
you are doing it wrong. your cameras need to be parallel. there I can see they have different angle. therefor the 3d effect is flawed
Mikey234432 1 year ago
@Mikey234432 Hehehe ... my eyes are not parallel when I look at close objects. Neither are the lenses of Mr Cameron's cameras on the set of Avatar :)

@nytram1309
why not move the cameras away and zoom in close.
because now the angle is just too big.
or is this video for hammer sharks only ^^

Hey ... I was just experimenting with close up . .. a later experiment with 2 iPod Nanos is my best home rigged 3d film

You have messed up the sides, the right is where the left should be and vice versa. It works but not as clear. Switch it and it will be much better.

I think this is due to the subject being so close to the cameras.
This one was a bit hard for me to lock onto as well...
