I have seen this movie a thousand times because I adore Audrey Hepburn, but I do think I loved the movie that much because Jennifer was so amazing in it!
One of my favorite actresses playing one of my favorite actresses, now if only I could see Alanah France do a young Audrey role...another beautiful young talent.
Her voice is too poppy for the song. I'm not comparing her to Audrey Hepburn. It's just that the song itself needs a more lived in and warm feeling to it. She makes it sound too manufactured.
It sounds lovely itself, but compared to Audrey, it's nothing. Only Audrey could sing it the way it should be. Jennifer's is just too.. too.. good, and flowy. Audrey's was perfect.

This movie is the reason I fell in love with Audrey Hepburn... I knew nothing about her until I watched this movie. I happen to think Jennifer Love Hewitt does and excellent job. If I could DISLIKE this 289 more times, I would. Jennifer Love Screwitt is a disgrace to the acting world, and obviously didn't really try to embody Audrey Hepburn very well. I hope she gets mauled by a bear.
The worst movie ever made, the worst acting by an actress, and i use the word 'actress' very loosly, serving burgers at McDonalds is about her level and it looks like she should eat some of those burgers too. Ahh McDonalds...what a load of shit they are, hope they go bust one day.

She was marvelous in this movie. At certain angles, it almost looked like Audrey. And I'm speaking of the whole movie, not just this part. She got Audrey's accent, which is amazing to me because it's such a hard accent to get! I can only imagine how long she had to practice to get that.
Actually Audrey Hepburn didn't have a very high and singer voice... but was BEAUTIFUL, it had a feeling and sweetness that no one can imitate. Actually, JLH got started on the kids sing-and-dance show Kids, Incorporated. But just looking at that clip convinces me she could never capture Audrey Hepburn on film. She's not a good actress at all, and cameras just imbibed AH.

believe it or not, the most touching rendition of this song i have ever heard was by anne hathaway from "the simpsons" . i am surprised that it's not on youtube. it was the episode when krusty was about to marry the princess character from his show but it didn't happen so she went to paris and segways into her singing moonriver at an outside cafe.
She sounds beautiful and almost prettier than Audrey, her voice is a bit higher and lighter, sounds happier? But very close to Audrey's sound/tone at the same time. Jen sounds breathier in my opinion.
Her voice is nice, but Audrey's voice was lovlier. It had an otherworldly, breathy quality to it. Jennifer still sings it well, though, and she looks beautiful while doing it.
It's always very difficult to beat the original because it's first and we already had Audrey's impression in our mind. Like imagine "Gone in the wind " was remake today, no matter how closely they can resemble the original one, the audience will always think the original the better.
I love Audrey, and thank Jennifer for making a good rendition of the song.

@xtrordinarygrl15 Natalie looks more glam model. Natalie's looks are so cookie cutter, by the book of what's accepted as pretty, big eyes full lips. Where Audrey has thinner lips and instead of just big eyes, cat eyes, big and slanted! Jennifer love is actually a daintier version of Audrey. Jen is a Pisces also which Audrey was born with a Moon in Pisces so they tend to act similar. Both have quite calm demeanor. But obviously Audrey had more star quality b/c of her moon/Pisces.
Audrey Hepburn was a true film icon and Jennifer's rendition of this great song is very touching. She did it a lot like Audrey did in the movie and I think she would love it. Very moving.
no i think the actress that could justify audrey hepburn is natalie portman, other than that I couldn't think of any actress who could portray her- her beauty, style and elegance. I wasn't born of her era so I grew up not particularly knowing her...not until moon river became my very first piano piece that I adore...The song had been a sweet part of my childhood since then... and I searched the song, learned about Audrey and discovered why she became so famous at her time. By now, I know why. :)

Not a Jennifer Love Hewitt fan, but I'm going to admit she sings pretty well. BUT, I think the way Audrey Hepburn sang Moon River is one of her defining movie moments and it's lost here because it was sung just as anyone would sing it. There were breaks and imperfections (which in turn made it perfect) that revealed emotion in the song, JLH's version was just someone singing the words and exuding nothing else.
How about Grace Kelly......Just as Beautiful or if I am may dare to better!!!! They are both stunning. This era did produce some beauties. Can anyone name a few they think are in the same class?????

This was actually a dream come true for me. As I've been a fan of Audrey, for as long as I could remember, and Jennifer Is really, just amazing, 2 of my favourite actresses :)

Audrey Hepburn was by my opinion the biggest and the most beautiful woman on the earth and she will always be, her voice was beautiful and amazing too, not such high as Jennifer´s, but original. This song by Audrey cant nobody never sing so awesome like she. But Jennifer is great actor and good singer too. Her version is not bad, but how i said, only Audrey Hepburn can be Audrey Hepburn...

believe it or not, the most touching rendition of this song i have ever heard was by anne hathaway from "the simpsons" . i am surprised that it's not on youtube. it was the episode when krusty was about to marry the princess character from his show but it didn't happen so she went to paris and segways into her singing moonriver at an outside cafe.

She sounds beautiful and almost prettier than Audrey, her voice is a bit higher and lighter, sounds happier? But very close to Audrey's sound/tone at the same time. Jen sounds breathier in my opinion.

Her voice is nice, but Audrey's voice was lovlier. It had an otherworldly, breathy quality to it. Jennifer still sings it well, though, and she looks beautiful while doing it.

It's always very difficult to beat the original because it's first and we already had Audrey's impression in our mind. Like imagine "Gone in the wind " was remake today, no matter how closely they can resemble the original one, the audience will always think the original the better.
I love Audrey, and thank Jennifer for making a good rendition of the song.

You have a voice, but your acting is nothing comparable. Jennifer Love Hewitt actually has a lovely voice. But I'm conflicted. It's just...wrong for Audrey, who sang this song with a tentativeness and whispery quality in her voice that just isn't matched here.

This grosses me out. Numerous times, Jenniffer love ew-Witt has "pretended" to be Audrey... She's fat and ugly!! Audry was a gorgeous lady, and no one will ever be like her. Besides, love hewwitt sounds terrible in this.

Jennifer Love Hewitt does not have a bad voice, but she does not sound nearly as sweet, genuine, or loving as Audrey Hepburn sounded. Audrey was, and is, simply angelic, and no one could come close to how beautiful she was on the inside and out.

Her voice is just too strong and shes putting too much "singing" into it, cause in the movie Audrey was talking in a sense at the same time as singing. As Audrey was a beautiful singer but not a strong voice because they dubbed over her voice in My Fair Lady.

@xtrordinarygrl15 Natalie looks more glam model. Natalie's looks are so cookie cutter, by the book of what's accepted as pretty, big eyes full lips. Where Audrey has thinner lips and instead of just big eyes, cat eyes, big and slanted! Jennifer love is actually a daintier version of Audrey. Jen is a Pisces also which Audrey was born with a Moon in Pisces so they tend to act similar. Both have quite calm demeanor. But obviously Audrey had more star quality b/c of her moon/Pisces.

Audrey Hepburn was a true film icon and Jennifer's rendition of this great song is very touching. She did it a lot like Audrey did in the movie and I think she would love it. Very moving.

no i think the actress that could justify audrey hepburn is natalie portman, other than that I couldn't think of any actress who could portray her- her beauty, style and elegance. I wasn't born of her era so I grew up not particularly knowing her...not until moon river became my very first piano piece that I adore...The song had been a sweet part of my childhood since then... and I searched the song, learned about Audrey and discovered why she became so famous at her time. By now, I know why. :)

@Iliares actually she wasn't even born but b@T is one of my favorite movies of all time(im 16) and so audrey is my fav actress and yes of course she doesnt look the same nor sings the same and probably nobody will ever do but do I do think jhl has some resemblance and the petite frame (thou audrey was taller)and fine gestures r a lot alike i do love this version and think she was more than perfect to recreate such a perfect actress. 5 stars

Not a Jennifer Love Hewitt fan, but I'm going to admit she sings pretty well. BUT, I think the way Audrey Hepburn sang Moon River is one of her defining movie moments and it's lost here because it was sung just as anyone would sing it. There were breaks and imperfections (which in turn made it perfect) that revealed emotion in the song, JLH's version was just someone singing the words and exuding nothing else.

Audrey Hepburn died three years before I was born. If it weren't for the fact that I'm a huge Jennifer Love Hewitt fan, I would never have even heard of Audrey
Hepburn. All I know is that Love sounded GREAT singing Moon River. I've looked at a picture of Audrey, and... Love doesn't look like her, but is still very beautiful.
