always mention the "Original" owner in the discription, or put hidden objects where people would never find it or notive it but you. or put a signature on it. like spartan lasers or something like that.

Bungie needs to make an option. Something when you save the map like, "Do you want to have this map un-editable? That way if someone has a really good map they will get credit for it. Like the guy who made Fat Kid tunnels. Whoever made it never got credit for it. Thats why I save the film of when I made a map. So I can prove I made it.

yeah, thats actually a good idea. someone took my MLG map on sandbox and made it worse bu deleting a hole second bridge on one of the sides and adding two mancannons even though there were already two on t the other side. before this was stolen and it was right after i made it, i tried to tell people about it by saying it was kinda like Narrows' cousin map. so he took it and i ended up playing with him, and he showed me the map. bad idea

That doesnt always work since to make some of my maps it took lots of rounds which means lots of films to save which means less space for maps

Map Theifs are sad, i once had 2 6 year olds telling me that it was their map, Someone chain friended into my game and saved the map, i joined and told them off.. i hate these kind of people

I also got trouble with people like that Phardark. I made some video's of racetrack maps but like The Rolling Thunder I know it's made by Blade Monkey751 but I got about 3 different people telling me they made it, it's annoying because with maps I really don't know who made it I just put there gt's in the description to give them the credits but if they are not the map creator(s) the they should not get the credits. Can I hire you? :P
