hi please can you help i just had a white crown fitted and have noticed he has cut some of the gum away and its not that the gum has gone down becouse of the temp cap you can see where there is missing gum and now the gum is about 4 or 5 mm lower than the rest of the gum and 3 mm lower than the bottom of the crown its self would this couse problems for me down the line or at any time someone please help thanks
mmm why do you mark the cuspids, valleys etc so much when the dental pices at each side don't have it? I see the oclussal face of the second molar and I see that this patient don't have this anatomy maybe have bruxism if we note the attrition in the palatal cuspid. and if we see the attrition in all te cuspids on the sencond molar. Very nice anatomy but is not apropiated for this patient.
Question....Did you pour up two models of the impression? One to produce that crown and then one to test fit it once it has been cast? Thanks and great work!!!
I'm in dental school and we're learning to do crown wax ups. I definitely respect lab techs for what they do. It's not easy. Good job. You're definitely appreciated.
That's awesome... i thought it was gonna be some crappy gold crown coz it didn't look like u put much effort on the anatomy the wax up.... n i was wrong... that crown looked beautiful....
Nice work. It looked like there was a little porosity, don't worry too much as long as there isn't a whole lot. Try not to overheat your gold if torch casting. It also looked like the margins were initially finished with a fine stone? try using a fine blue rubber wheel or point. Jelenko makes them. If you can do consistent work like that you'll have no problem. However, I have to agree with one of the other posters, but in a nicer way. Try to match the existing anatomy and not get too fancy.
What is it with everyone shitting about how they could do better anatomy and stuff. As a dental technichian your job is not to put an awful lot of junk into your crown to make it look god knows how plastic. Just look at this crown: It fits into the alignment just great. It's anatomy doesn't look any different from the second molar which is what a technician should be aming at in the first place: Copying. Don't go all artistic on your crowns. Just do whatever nature did already.
Very nice job! I just started dental school and will learning how to wax up crowns next semester (including a gold crown too!) and am really looking forward to it! You're work is very inspiring. Clean, organic lines, and excellent anatomy. Great job!
