I don't understand why people make these kind of videos showing horses at their worst. This just implies equestrianism to be dangerous and scary. When people ride a horse they don't think of the downside. Yes when you get on a horse your risking your lives because at any moment a horse could kill you but when you are on a horse the connection you have is so strong that nothing should frighten the rider. The rider gives the horse confidence. This video is pointless
wow 2:10 to 2:18 was so close, the first jump left the rider half on half off, and the horse was so good to finish the next jump that landed the rider back in the saddle again. Wooh! Holy SH!T!!!
First of all, to jump that high, you have to be a good rider, but I do think that the one on 0.30 is whipping his horse to hard. When a horse is scared it should not be whipped and when it is already bucking you should save the whip for later. You should use it as a help, not as punishment. The one at 0.38 is raising his arms way to high to support the horse, no wonder it fails to jump. I do believe most just had bad luck and I feel sorry for the scares the horses and drivers must have had.
ah the joys of riding. over the weekend i was riding and the horse that i was riding decided buck me off for no reason at all. he did a bucking bronco (i ride english btw) and caught me off gaurd and b4 i knew it i landed on my lower back/tailbone. he almost kicked me in the head too. after i got up he was still bucking then he calmly walked over to my trainer like nothing happened. hes a crazy thoroughbred. my horse got spooked and bolted of and started bucking, rearing and i couldnt get him under control and he jumped a fence (with me on him) and cought his leg on the fence and i came flying of. next minute i seen him coming full speed at me and ran over my arm and now my arm is badly broken !! looks like i wont be riding for a while...... ahh us riders basicly sacrivise our lives to ride these animals... still love my horsey though even though i fell off!! :D :D xxxxxxxx
one time i was western riding down a small slope and a rabbit ran out in front of my horse (Gally). Gally completely spooked and reared so far back she toppled on me (i'm ok) and Gally slid down the hill she suffered from a small sprain but she's ok now.
sometimes the horse says no mom just cant do it today. wow some just lost their balance, and the bucking, could it be the riders are jittery so the horse becomes that way too? could some be rushing with a horses training, or maybe they forget not to spur so hard? or maybe the horses are like I would rather go trail riding then go through this misery. lol. beautiful horses tho.
Woahh, i dont usuallly crit vids but i really felt for the horse falling at 0.50 :/ that horse is far to genuine for it own good, not great riding or judgement at all!
The guy at 1:31 has rather log styrups so thats probobly part of the reson he fell off, cuz he has not very much support to push his heels down cuz their so long
great video.. the only thing that makes me mad is when the riders beat the horses because of refusals and such.. its BS.. more training will fix that.. I actually don't even look up to my favorite eventers anymore because of that stuff.. its disgraceful.. now the ones that don't do anything and do a circle and rejump the things are awesome people.

Her horse, Buster, was a little bit shaken, but other than that, very okay. Do you feel more sorry for the horse?
i still feel really bad for the horse; though i have to admit i feel alot for the rider too. i just hate the look of shock on the horses face when they've fallen or had a fright. my horse and i slid while galloping (got a video of it actually) and even when i was rolling the only thing going through my mind was 'my pony!' but it wasn't nearly as bad as the fall you just told me about :)
If the Horse still had a fall then yes, maybe its because I'm Vegan and feel an affinity to animals or maybe its because in today's world I have been desensitized through current affairs splashed over the news and violent video games and movies, that when it comes to human harm, I just don't care...
Then again I could just like the horses more then the people riding them ;).

poor little kid on the grey near the start who went straight into the wing! and amazing save on the chestnut near the end!! he was almost off then the horse jumps the next jump and puts him back in the saddle and he keeps going! awesome

Guy at 0:15 was an idiot. You think that horse is going over with no strides and momentum forget it. 2:27, the rider completely sucks. End of story. I do agree with Ponyrocks, to take that jump and stay on after and before was amazing.

i am one who doesnt jump, i barrel race. but ive tried english jumping with friends amd my cousin and i have to say it is tricky. all of you judge these riders, but i say they are all good riders cause i can and will most likely never be able to jump like any of them. they also handled their falls well, ive seen so much worse. great vid!!
I really liked that. I fell off my horse on a I think It was a 6 metre jump, it hurt!!! I broke my wrist, I couldn't exactly get back on the horse LOL!!!
lol a horse at my stables called amazon was told she was fat and should go on weight watchers then when she was put on the truck to go to the event we heared a loud bang and she had jumped up on to the lockers with her front legs and was marching them up and down

ummmmm... Ive had a very bad fall and I say to you that have never fallen off a horse that you learn by it and that it hurts! I got the breath knocked out of me for like a minute + and I thought and everyone else around me thought I was dead...
Thats the truth of the equestrian world. nothing will always go perfectly to plan. like just this weekend, i come off my horse, looked harmless enough and i got back on but 3 days later, whattdya know? turns out that when my horse had stepped on me when i fell, she had fractured my ribs.

Showjupers really annoy me, they don't listne to their horses.. they don't understand. All they care about is winning take that man? Oh im going to jump from a standstill, good one! And one that isn't even jumping straight into the jump just expects it to jump and why do they flap with their arms? Its not going to do ewt all apart from make the horse off balance! Jeeze :L

lol a horse at my stables called amazon was told she was fat and should go on weight watchers then when she was put on the truck to go to the event we heared a loud bang and she had jumped up on to the lockers with her front legs and was marching them up and down

the one at 2.13 is funny bt the guy on points 0.45 +1.54+2.03 he rides lyke he is a duck how is the horse ment to understand?????? 2.32 was really well sat !!! 2.52 now that is a good rider the guy that rides lyke a duck could get sme lessons of him c how he approched the fences they were even bigger than the duck guys !!!!!!

lol i always imagine the horse i ride working out to this song at night. doing pull ups in her stable, punch bag in the corner, various pictures of other horses nailed to the wall with targets drawn on them. i swear she has gang tats under her fur XD

ummmmm... Ive had a very bad fall and I say to you that have never fallen off a horse that you learn by it and that it hurts! I got the breath knocked out of me for like a minute + and I thought and everyone else around me thought I was dead...

Thats the truth of the equestrian world. nothing will always go perfectly to plan. like just this weekend, i come off my horse, looked harmless enough and i got back on but 3 days later, whattdya know? turns out that when my horse had stepped on me when i fell, she had fractured my ribs.

no its a way of correction when a horse refuses its like instead of turning around your saying hey look you need to jump this or they mis judged it and they needed another look

Showjupers really annoy me, they don't listne to their horses.. they don't understand. All they care about is winning take that man? Oh im going to jump from a standstill, good one! And one that isn't even jumping straight into the jump just expects it to jump and why do they flap with their arms? Its not going to do ewt all apart from make the horse off balance! Jeeze :L
