I actually watch them shoot the alley seen 19 sec into this clip. The alley is just off of the Granville Mall. The cardboard bin that gets pulled in front of the car ended up flying across Granville St. and hitting a transit bus. They would warn us to expect loud gunfire each time before they would start to shoot the seen.

I think this series is more like Stingray. It was a cool show. I like Michael Dudikoff. I always think about him as The American Ninja.

This series was sort of a rip-off of Stingray starring Nick Mancuso, i say sort of because

they were both created by stephen j cannel who reused footage from the stingray series

It seems that they wanted some kind of revival of Stingray which aired in 1985

so they did a bit of reworking and now the black car became a red car.

Very nice. I miss this show. Strangely it reminded me of Knight Rider without all of the computer gimmicry. They both had similar stories. In fact, I wouldn't have minded Michael Dudikoff being re-editted into the Hoff's parts. This show was very kinetic as you can see from the intro...!!! No talking Trans Am needed-even as much as I loved KITT....

Yeah. Cobra was actually pretty good. It had all of the good qualities of the 80's action shows, but with more sophistication. These was a nice piece of television. Haven't seen anything like it since.

Just go to Torrentz and search for "Cobra -joe Series" minus the quotes. Currently there are 8 seeders.

You're better off downloading 3 or 4 at a time, as opposed to the whole entire 22 episodes all at once.

@NATJR101 The first DVD set was released in Canada only, but now it's available in the US from Mill Creek Entertainment, part of an exclusive deal with Stephen J. Cannell Productions. I bought the Canadian release when it first came out and it's okay, though the quality is not great. Watchable, but not great. Haven't gotten the MCE release to see if their quality is better.
