Forbes lists the current CIGMA CEO as having a $28.8 million salary PER YEAR. When they pay those kind of salaries it is hard to have much "profit" so they will certainly need to raise premiums if they are expected to cover people who are actually sick.

Every business run by humans needs some regulation by other humans eventually to keep it honest.

@schutzelb : after your comment it is very Clear you havent even read the bill. If it was just about Regulation I would feel the way you do.. BUT ITS NOT !!! ITS about complete and utter Govt Control.. It goes way beyond regulation. And even if it was dont you think there is enough regulations and laws into our lives as it is.

Let me explain, since my comment was so difficult to grasp. I was saying that the people shown in this video would likely be stupid enough to jump from a cliff if they were told Obama would disappear. As for the world being a brighter place, it would be so because the population of heartless bastards would be greatly decreased. Was that a bit clearer? Anyway, I was mostly just kidding in the first place, but I forget that politics has no room for humor. Pity.

How many of these 'tea-party' members have paid into the system,but now are on/soon will be on life support,but they don't know it yet? How will they come to realization they can't afford to be on life support but have family, children who want them to live?I think cameras should be there when their time comes and they must face the facts that they need actual help. Who will they turn to?Instead of love their faces show nothing but hate. The statistics are waiting to happen to their lives.

The author is mistaken with his title. The person didn't throw a dollar at him in a negative way as in throwing a snowball at someone you don't like, he threw a SECOND dollar TO him from a distance after giving him one up close a moment earlier.

They advocate a massive rollback of modern society--to a time when individuals had to do NEARLY EVERYTHING for themselves. I'm sorry, but if I can afford not to, I would prefer not to grow my own food, not to generate my own electricity, not to pave my own roads, and not to do surgeries on myself.
In a world of specialization, it is REASONABLE that MOST people would want to aggregate to others (in governments, churches, and private foundations)--some portion of their charitable obligations too.

People with physical and mental capabilities to get a well above average paying job, but don't have one, that oppose the bill are just people that take out their stress from underachieving in their lifetime on those that are handicapped.... In my opinion

@4Peace4All As a non tea partier i would have to agree that not all of you are this way. Since the tea party movement started out as the people living in D.C. did not have representation so they started it as an anti tax campaign based on the original teaparty. hence the name but since then the whole country got involved. and now mostly everyone that is in the teaparty movement is like this. The problem is that if you dont live in D.C. then the teaparty has nothing to do with you so just go home
