  • This was a great song. MC Hammer was the first to combine rap and gospel.

  • Saw this live, changed me forever. Praise Jesus!!

  • thank the lord , hallelujah brother , praise god , holy shit ,,,,,,,,,,

  • Now THIS is an AWESOME Song MC Hammer performed this song on the American Music Awards back in the Early 90's and It was amazing

God Bless MC Hammer on a job well done

and BTW, when this song was out, we still had The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Blossom, 90210, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, A Different World, Cheers, Square One TV, Classic Concentration, American Gladiators, Ghostwriter, Quantum Leap and Sisters

  • have always loved the song, it lifts me up all da tym. Glory be to da lord.

  • What is the name of the gospel choir and the solist?

    They are splendid.

  • @updrafttower Don't kno who the choir is but the female soloist is Tramaine Hawkins

  • @aamps79 Thanks a lot.

  • This is perfect. Sung, danced, Gospel intros...Hammer had it.

  • Love the chorus

  • I've been search this song for long time.( Cos I remember only how the melodiy goes but not the lyrics).

  • @Prnzkamil That is so funny, I had no idea what the name was or the lyrics were also...I was wanting to hear this song for so long lol! Blast from the past for real!

  • @Brandnew84 haha finally. And how you found this?

  • I remember this being Evander Holyfield's ring walk music when he fought Riddick Bowe the first time in 1992. While Evander made his way to the ring Larry Merchant said about Holyfield "You're looking into the eyes of someone who is willing to walk through machine gun fire". What a fitting testimony for the spiritual message in this song, with Lord Jesus couldn't we all do that? :)

Hearing this song/beat always reminds me of that and is a very motivating. Thank you for posting.

  • this is the first time i've heard an upbeat version of Pass me not, usually its so solemn and somber. i like this version-its refreshing

  • pump it up! this has nothing to do with religion it about Lord ALAN SUGAR

  • pump it up!

  • Never could put my finger on why I like this song so much. Tremain was getting it...at the time, i didn't know this was her. its funny back in the day I used to play her songs "changed"and "going up yonder" to death never knowing what she looked like.

  • One night I was channel surfing, trying to get my mind off some upsetting news about my sister-the cancer was back.I could not pray,no words would come. I saw this video and the tears flowed as the lyrics became my prayer.Words don't cut it on how this blessed me.Many times that's all I can say to the Lord!! Thank you for posting- I can play it whenever I need the reminder! God bless you MC!!!

  • Love this song

  • Sit yo broke ass down.

  • I feel like playing this song each morning on my way to work, but the local radio station only plays it on Friday.

  • We still bumt this!!

  • I'll bear God in mind next time I see innocent kids slaughtered in Afghanistan in the name of Allah.

after all, who are we to judge?.

  • Still gives me goosebumps. Excellent song!

  • i luv how its like classical then goes 2 like rap kinda its soo kewl! ahaha

  • I am wondering how on earth you can count 3 beats to a bar to this! It must have been a fascinating exercise class!

I think you'll find it's 4/4 like most songs used in exercise class - but you're right, it's a great high energy song to dance to.

Have fun! We're just about to do it with our gospel choir.

  • Man I used to thrash this song...awesome to hear it again

  • Awesome version of an old song.

  • I think Douglas Miller is proud!!!

  • you cant touch this

  • Great song by Hammer. Its not a bad video, but I wish someone had Hammer's performance with the gospel choir on Arsenio Hall.

  • not a religous man but just love the noise of a gspel choir

  • i think he is religious. he has a religious song in each of his albums and i have seen him on TBN.

  • He Is

  • he was a preacher before being a rapper

  • No he wasn't, he was a batboy for the Oakland Raiders before becoming a rapper... that's how he got his name...

  • Actually, he worked for the Oakland A's, not the Raiders and the owner, Charlie Finley, thought he looked like Hank Aaron, whose nickname was The Hammer, hence "Hammer" was born.

  • That's what I meant, that's what I was thinking... They called him "Lil' Hammer."

  • "Amen!

  • I love this song! Motivating, moving, and so uplifting! Praised be Jesus Christ!
