You can use headphones, powered speaker, unpowered speaker, any line in, I've used my vox ad50vt with it, just have to keep the gain down, the update is great as it adjusts the noise, and I'm starting to sound like a commercial, it doesn't replace an amp, but it's great to have, after you spend too much money on the in app purchases

AST is an amazing group of musicians. The guitar sounds is the only weak link in this performance IMO - sorry AmpLink

@fmarkow The hotel forced us to turn down the sound level, that was the biggest issue on guitar audio quality. AmpKit would have done just fine otherwise ;-)

Love the ampkit, I've been using it to play live for about half a year now. Works great and all the sound guys I work with are blown away by how good it sounds.

It's not my favourite type of music but then, I'm 73 years old and my tastes were formed a long time ago, long before rock existed. But it is SO WELL PLAYED!! All three of them deserve kudos.

Long hair was an expression of independence in the late fifties and sixties. Today, it's irrelevant! It's the new norm which is probably why you're objecting, eh? I think the long hair of the other two looks a tad ridiculous considering this is 2011, not 1961. They're acting like they think they're up to date but they're anachronistic, IMHO.
