  • Very Nice.. Thank You !

  • gr8 table, i have this one too, watch ebay, they come up time to time..Steve

  • I don't guess Ritchie Blackmore will be taking a solo on this tune?

  • how much did it cost, what year did you buy it and where and what year is the turntable?

  • @bettygoodbody Sorry purchased too long ago for those details. Turntable is a 1977,and for information on this turntable enter in search article Luxman pd-131 The 1977 Gramophone audio magazine article has all the details on this turntable

  • hey i am back . i still am impressed. nice......

  • McIntosh never made any of their own turntables ?

  • @PupuTheClown No they did not make turntables, but they do have their own speaker systems.

  • Hmmmm, Dust cover up and on as album spins, dust cover acts as giant catchers mit, captures all sorts of sound waves, then transfers those resonances straight to your tone arm, do your self a favor, and enjoy your gear even more, take the cover off when playing. Doubt me? Observe your counterweight, it shakes around like it is having a seizure, during this tracks entire playthrough.

  • @KAISERKRAUT Hi This turntable tone arm has little or no resonance problems. The counter weight moving is vibration from me walking unloading heavy albums in front of the turntable. However, I did attempt using a Dual turntable with a High powered system a McIntosh 2300 and 4 515-B Altec woofers. The tone arm resonance was very bad, even sitting on two feather pillows it was impossible to use. It mostly depends on the quality and tone arm design.Problems really show up in big systems

  • @maynardcat The DJ trick for reducing feedback resonance with a Hi-Fi record player, and reducing handling problems, was to stiffen or lock up the motor board suspension and sit the deck on an inflated bicycle inner tube. A heavier headshell mass will also help as long as the counterweight can still balance the arm. Once you are using a pnuematic suspension with a rubber record mat you realise what a total load of bullshit most "improvers" to you record player are.

  • Tasty, the first great vinyl system I ever heard was with magneplaner unipivot arm
