Aw, the video won't play. I keep getting "an error occurred." Lake Charles is a great place. Sure, at times, there's reasons to want to get away and see more, and do more, but you can even travel a small distance - Houston, Beaumont, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Orleans and get that and then come back and have a nice home where things do happen, but it can be relaxed, too. Plus, nobody can beat southern hospitality.

The lake is another thing. I'd definently like to see the water a different color than what I'm use to seeing. As far as urban renewal, that'll be a good place to start.

Lake Charles has been needing an upgrade since I was around 8 years old. It's home for me but I'd really like to see some new additions to the town. I have been living here off and on for nearly 20 years and the talk around town is always the same. There's never anything to do here and it's always boring. Recent events that's been held such as Nephew Tommy being at the Rosa Hart theather was a good thing. We need more entertainment like that and a lot more urban renewal.

downtown needs a major revitalization. Also they should bulid a nice town center somewhere on the outskirts. You know where there arent any houses. Somewhere between LC and iowa.[pronounced I(long i)-o-way]

i used to live in lake charles. I moved. It is very humid, very flat, no culture, very closed minded,. I moved where the weather is dry, 4 seasons, Mountains, very beautiful and full of positive energy, Lots of culture and spirituality. I would NEVER move back to lake charles

I live there. I used to work at the refinery you see at 00:28 until I left in 1998.

Its a good place to fish, hunt, or gamble. Most people here are sort of okay but for the most part people are rarely as friendly as they used to be especially after Rita. Most of them turned into some snobs.
