  • The guy talks as if the printing process is a miracle, lol. It's nice to know how the fabric for my uniform is made.

  • 0:30 HE SAID ABOOT! :DDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • @epictoilets1 I heard him pronounce the U, he's French Canadian as well so I think it's even less likely you'll hear him say it like that.

  • South Park lied to me, GASP

  • Dayum these guys have harsh accents

  • Cool. I didnt know there was urban CADPAT

  • i bet my underwear that the Blue berret guy is french , he don't got an english accent AT ALL ... he's french (quebec)

  • @FTWSquirrels - ya, dude, its Canada. u hear it everywhere and u see it everywhere. u can bet ur bottom dollar that if u live in Canada, u cant go a day without hearing a Quebec accent...

  • @gloryglorybarcelona lmfao i live in bc and i never hear french accents

  • @gloryglorybarcelona i've never heard a quebec accent in person and i live in BC i doubt your even canadian

  • @TaskrHD - u doubt im not Canadian? i live in Ontario, buddy. Ottawa, to be exact. i can see Quebec out my window. dont make false assumptions until u know what ur talking about...

  • @gloryglorybarcelona i doubted you were Canadian not that you weren't and you should acctually be the one not making false assumptions about not being able to go a day without hearing a Quebec accent plus buddy i wasn't meaning it in any offensive form just from what your comment sounded like i thought you weren't Canadian sorry

  • @FTWSquirrels the representent too

  • could they have picked someone else to do this segment other than this frenchi quebecer

  • @maxrocks19

    STFU.

  • I have yet to see Winter or Urban CADPAT...being navy I may not have been exposed to it yet. Can anyone confirm that it has been released?

  • @DEQR i was watching a canadian army news report about operation northern bison and they were wearing it when they showed a clip of them in the north.

  • @DEQR i was watching a canadian army news report about operation northern bison and they were wearing it when they showed a clip of them in the north. the winter version i mean.

  • @iamcondescending are you talking these white garments or a winter cadpat?

  • @TheGuyWithAWeirdName pretty sure it was the winter cadpat could be wrong but im pretty sure it was

  • @DEQR released no, testing though.. it might take some years IF they follow through

  • I have no doubt that CADPAT is a big improvement over the previous monochrome fabric that was used by Canadian soldiers, and I'm confident that CADPAT is as good as the camouflage used by any of the world's militaries. But what else is it good for?! The title of this video implied that there is some other use for it, but apparently didn't deliver this information! Was that aspect of the video accidentally overlooked, or was it added to the title of the video as an intentionally false promotion?!

  • @AristocratJonathan HA HA HA I was going to post the same thing how is good for more than CAMO It's DIGITAL CAMO :D. Only other use I could think of was GUCI CADPAT/CAMO as I call it. Knock off's made for civilians,. Playing paint ball air soft or they just find it cool looking. But Army news wouldn't report on that lol. And if it's not issued by DND/the CF it ain't CADPAT :D.

  • As you can see above Light has everything to do with camo. On the side that the sun does not hit UCP it works as a woodland camo. Other camo will black out on that side. UCP is an Urban/arid camo on one side and woodland on the other depending on the side that the sun hits it

  • Cadpat does not work well in Afgan. Troops can be seen for 1000+meters. The desert version is better out there but can still be seen. Marpat, multicam and even UCP when dirty works a lot better. The woodland version of Cadpat appears to be have made for Canada, there it works great! I have seen it against green and it's amazing, they need to make a multi terrain soon

  • Interesting how all the other armies seem to have changed camo patterns regularly but us Brits have stuck with DPM (woodland and desert) since the early 70's I think? Although MTP (multicam) is phasing DPM out now, bit of a shame to see it go.

  • @thetubewithin

The next war they fight that will have low green vegetation Multicam will show it weakness. It needs shadow in order to act like a true woodland camo. AOR 2 did not pass the sniper testing and how Marpat was created!

  • @1lostinspace It doesn't really work in some of the lighter parts of the desert either tbh, if it wasn't for cost cutting the British Government would keep all 3 camos.

  • @thetubewithin

I know I have seen MC in desert and it appears too light! not to mention the dark side could be seen 1000 meters +. In order to dominate any battle field at any time here is what needs to be done. Marpat ACU and AOR3 (digital multicam) must be in the US arsenal. Nothing works as good as Marpat in Iraq, nothing works as good as ACU in the build up city areas of Iraq, nothing works as well as MC in Afgan.

  • and they got it thanks to flecktarn...

  • Can someone tell me why the CADPAT helmet cover is a light yellow and some is just light cadpat?

or is it just the camera?

  • thank you canada for inspiring us to make our own camo

  • @blackHawkMW92 Well you know us, always happy to help our friends.

  • @blackHawkMW92 no problem happy to help our neigbour

  • "makes us stand out in the public" a very true quote, my buddy pointed out to me on the subway one day "funny thing about CADPAT, its supposed to hide you, yet we stand out more than a sore thumb", it does good job in hiding coffee stains too!

  • @epicmelee CADPAT is highly effective when in the bush, to suggest that it is supposed to hide you in an urban setting is just stupid, obviously your going to stand out in a city.

  • It is to my understanding that Canadians came out with CADPAT as the first digital design, then the USMC thought about adopting it as a whole, but instead they bought the rights to use the pattern but with their own colors, someone correct me if I'm wrong?

  • @epicmelee Yes the U.S wanted CADPAT but were turned down, but instead we gave them some of the research for it excluding the NIR tech ( Near invisible to Infra Red), that's our baby.

  • @Hawkeye323232

UCP is far more effective then given credit for! Once you hit areas that have vegetation then you hit shadows! UCP is the best there and in urban and as you mentioned NIR not to mention rookie areas and when dirty will blend in desert. I think it's a mistake to take it out of service. He who owns the night owns the battle field.

UCP will be back mark my words

  • @1lostinspace I don't mean to be a bastard but UCP is garbage next to MARPAT let alone CADPAT. Also being dirty is not a wanted thing in war, your camo should not rely on the soldier being a grub. If you want to see the future in digital camo, check out HyperStealth Biotechnology CORP. It's based out of British Columbia, they provide combat uniforms for several countries, and may well provide for Canada and possibly the U.S.

  • @Hawkeye323232

    Garbage lol oh man.

Guess what most US military offensive operations take place at night! UCP rules the night and the primary reason it was chosen NIR ranked #1 in the world. Occupation operation are mainly urban where again UCP rules everything else. Multicam is a great day time nature camo. You would look really stupid fighting a modern country at night running around wearing Multicam! Sniper can hit movers at 600 meters in a dead sprint!

  • @Hawkeye323232

Oh and another thing UCP is Marpat they share the same pattern as CADPAT. UCP is the urban version of Marpat, The USMC version of Urban Marpat looks almost like UCP

  • @1lostinspace It's based entirely on MARPAT yes, but the UCP as a multifunction pattern does not perform as well as a temperate or arid specific pattern. Note the first version of MARPAT was the same pattern with different colour placement, but has since been modified.

  • @Hawkeye323232

Marpat has not been modified, I do this professionally and Marpat has never been modified AOR1 and AOR2 have do your research. I own over $5000 worth of camo and UCP is the best do it all camo out there.

  • @1lostinspace Ya, UCP is so good their ditching it, and yes MARPAT was slightly altered from the initial CADPAT pattern, the pixel placement was changed slightly. And owning $5000 in camo does not make you an expert. Universal camo is never going to outperform an environment specific pattern.

  • @Hawkeye323232

it will be you ll see. Anyways I posted video of what I am talking about. And you wearing ACU does not make you an expert. UCP is the Marpat version of Urban and it does work in desert past 200 meters and in woodland under tree canopy or on the side the sun does not hits it.

  • @1lostinspace I never said I was an expert or wore ACU, what the hell are you even talking about? Saw you videos, they were unremarkable and poorly conceived, like several videos on the subject. To see camo through a dinky camcorder is not like seeing it in person. You can't assume you will be able to avoid direct sunlight all the time, and soldiers seldom rely on a plain combat uniform no matter how effective it is, particularly in forests and tall grass.

  • @Hawkeye323232

Maybe we misunderstood each other. I works where I live. To say UCP does not work would not be true.

  • @1lostinspace I'm sure there are places where it works, older olive drab uniforms work wonders in fields and really low light forest, but is still out performed by other camo scheme's, does that mean I'm going to toss my old olive drab uniform, Hell No! I myself like to mix and match my uniforms in paintball/airsoft games, in forests around Ottawa, Olive drab/CadPat up top, MarPat with CadPat patches sown on down low, bits of gillie all over. It's greatly effective for the skulking sniper.

  • @Hawkeye323232 I watched or heard when the PPCLI deployed to Afghanistan and only had Woodland CADPAT that it worked better in some area's then Arid Region CADPAT.

  • WHY must we always cater to the fucking french?

  • cadpat is great, it just fades way to fast

  • @Snakes 709 CADPAT was infact the first digital camo pattern to be produced, we had it on our troops long before the USMC ever thought of doing it.

Look it up...lots of info and proof out there to support it. Canada adopted (and owns the rights to) the digital camo in 1997, USMC not until 2000.

  • USA+Canada+ uk is win

  • is CADPAT mean canadian patern

  • @TheNERFDUDE97 yes thats what it means good boy you get a bone

  • @423tk dont patronise me

  • @TheNERFDUDE97 Actually, it's CAnadian Disruptive PATtern

  • @alkeli78 k thanks

  • haha the french canadian accent

  • im canadian and i think this dudes accent is gay. not the frenchie

  • @TheHaloMissions I'm from Alberta and I've only been out to the maritimes once, but if i'm not mistaken the first guy's accent in neufie.

  • Printed in Drummondville? That's close to my house!

  • does anyone know where i can get CADPAT in M6?

    this is really cool.

  • Those are French accents guys, most Canadians don't sound like that

  • CADPAT not made in China

  • Ive heard that they fade pretty quick. Is this true ?

  • @Madsniper14

I wouldn't say so. I've had CADPAT jeans for such a long time (I bought them at the army surplus store) and it's still just exactly the same.

  • @Madsniper14 uhmmm if there old school yeah but i got some newones :D

  • @Madsniper14 but the stuff made in canada

  • lol you gotta love canadians!

  • 1:08 there's a smiley face on the bucket that says BLUE!

  • So. New topic. Marpat, Cadpat, or Multicam, (or hell, Flektern. Thats a good one too) Guille suit doesnt count because its not a set pattern. Which one is the best for say... Khandahar Afghanistan.

Im going with Marpat Desert, or Cadpat Arid, both are very close.

  • De cadpats

  • I really do like cadpat, but I think that Multicam really out performs this... A LOT!

  • @durca2 MARPAT FTW multicam is garbage u can buy it at walmart

  • Cadpat is awesome because its made just for us :P

  • I hate to say it, but the Canadians did come out with Cadpat first as the first digital micro pattern camoflage. Then the Marines made an equally good design (You have to agree that it does a good job Canadians) Then the Army came out with an awful pattern that blends into only itself. And maybe a concrete wall. The Airforce came out with an even stupider design ( I didnt think it was possible) and the Navy went blue. (wow...goes great to horrible)

  • @bismarckkyle16 For the record Marpat and Cadpat are the same patterns, different colours. What is the airforce pattern called? I don't think i saw it.

  • @Ralroost Negatory. They are both Digital Micropattern, but they arent the exact same cut. ACU however is. You are thinking of ABU pattern. It is the ACU color, in tigerstripe pattern. I think it looks retarded as hell. You can find it on Google, or Wikipedia. ACU as well, and the Army finally agrees with common sense. They are switching to Multicam.

  • @bismarckkyle16 i like the american army look its really distinguishable.. but maybe to wear or be around for too long can be a bad thing

  • @walkertexasranger33 The army is switching to multicam

  • @bismarckkyle16 whats multicam

  • @walkertexasranger33 Multicam is becoming more and more popular in the civilian world. Google it. Its not bad at all.

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33

I think about this everytime I play paintball. Its what best blends into the background color wise. Pattern really doesnt do much. Micropattern does have the neat effect of blending the colors into each other from a closer distance, but at 50 yards, your just going to notice outline of the person and color of their shit. A black gun and their gear gives them away. ACU is grey and sticks out alittle too much in my opinion.

  • @walkertexasranger33 Though you are right about being distinguishable. Maybe thats the ultimate point. So you can identify far away that its a friendly and not shoot him, but still not stick out. Thats why the Marines changed theirs to Marpat. Too many were using Woodland. (Though I hear MARSOC is changing back to woodland lmao)

  • @bismarckkyle16 American uniforms do look sharp though.

  • @bismarckkyle16 i don't even know why regular duty members of the US Airforce and navy need camo uniforms, like bridge crew on a warship. useless,

i don't think that ACU is as bad as many claim it actually does a decent job and camoing the user, although not as well as a region dedicated pattern like CADPAT ARID. i do admit that CADPAT needs a more general purpose pattern cause the current woodlands GPI camo does sometimes look a bit ridiculous, especially in the city

  • @maxrocks19 It may be a budgetary/logistics reason, easier to issue one combat uniform vs different ones for each element/command. Air Force use to wear the Olive Drab combats when they were in service. Or it could be since we don't have an ARMY/AIR FORCE or NAVY - technically we have one force the Canadian Forces just with 3 elements/commands, Land, Air and Maritime they should wear the same combat uniform.

But I would think i t's cheaper and easier to issue CADPAT to more then just the Army.

  • Yup, Cadpat came first. then Cadpat AR (arid regions).

then some senior from the Marine corps loved the AR variant then took the designs/data and dubbed it MARPAT...go figure,

The Canadian gov spent 12 years developing CADPAT/AR.

Go do some research about the subject.

    5/5

  • You must agree that the Cadpat has roots in Micropattern with Flecktern. The Canada took it further and made squares. I like Cadpat, I have a jacket from East Canada Airsoft that I use for Paintball.

  • CADPAT came first bro, do your home work.

  • nope.

cadpat came first then the US bited off the canadian CADPAT.

    Research bud

  • marpat was after cadpat and it is used on a smaller scale

  • you're fuckin stupid. that's all i have to say.

  • @RazzlerMans your fuckin seriously ignorant person eh

  • im ignorant? you cant even talk. it should be, "YOU ARE A fucking seriously ignorant person" what you said made no sense.

  • cadpat is the first and the best digital camo out there

  • Rock on brother!

  • @RockApe92

    Depends on the environment.

  • @dremelinskov cadpat desert is better than marpat desert and cadpat temperate outperforms marpat woodland. In its designated environment its the best digital camo there is. As for ACU....best not go there eh?

  • @RockApe92

"In its designated environment its the best digital camo there is."

You pretty much just repeated what I said. It's not the best camo out there, It's the best for it's designated environment.

  • @dremelinskov you're not making sense. multicam for instance wouldnt be good in the canadian forests now would it? its still the best digital camo

  • @RockApe92 Ok, I understand you're problem now mate, you're not listening to what I said, I said CadPat wasn't the best camo out there, it's only good for it's native environment. You're arguing exactly what I am, to me. I am fully aware Multicam wouldn't be a good choice in the forest, I'm arguing that.

  • @RockApe92

Cadpat Arid and Desert Marpat dont look that much different.

  • @RockApe92 Did the CADPAT come out before the Germans'?

And Marine Corps MARPAT is very good, aswell. Tried and true.

  • @deguimerautube the germans dont use digital camo. they have flecktarn

  • @RockApe92 Oh ok, my mistake. I didn't look at it closely. Thank you.

  • @RockApe92

.... sorry to say this, but i know your a noob but CADpat is NOT digital.. CAD= CANADIAN PATTERN.

  • @JukkAMoviE you are the biggest fucking idiot i have ever encountered. CADPAT means CAnadian Disruptive PATtern. wtf are you on?

  • @RockApe92 Woippp. you used wiki for that HAHA?.

    1. I'am a nazi so i dont give a damn what the fuck you say. 2. unless you are a white aryan dude. 3. You are stupid and i hate both america and canada. , i hate niggers , wiggers , asians and you. .

    Just joking.

    But hey!!. FUCK YOU

  • @JukkAMoviE go away boy, adults are talking

  • @RockApe92 adult?.. umm you are 17-18years old?. and i'am around 30.. sure:)

  • @RockApe92 yup ver true

    MARPAT sucks

    I fucking hate MARPAT.

  • @Uberaoshi why??

  • @RockApe92 wasnt the first digital pattern

  • @Snakes709 CADPAT was the First

  • @randomuser942464

spazzing out over a joke makes you a twat

  • What the hell is all this Canada bashing about? I'm an American Marine, and I've seen first hand the professionalism of Canadian service members.

The only people who'd dare talk about any of our allies and comparing camouflage are dumb asses who never served. So, all you dip shit airsoft and paintball commandos need to shut up and have some respect for our northern ally.

    ABCA ALL THE WAY!

  • From a CF member to a marine member thanks, we see pure professionalism in your boys as well.

  • thank you i knew that there were americans who knew canada had a good army and good training along with good camo. ithank you for defending our army as it is a very good. long live canada and the usa

  • @gibbzrulz my penis may be the size of a baby but it doesnt make me one :(

  • @aero9111 no being a moron dipshit makes you one

  • gibbzrulz is a fag ;)

  • @aero9111 only with u baby

  • CADPAT is gay now MARPAT is the best

  • @Gibbsrulz its the same damn shit just different colours moron

  • LMAO, accents are priceless. Camo is bad ass as well.

  • not bad. looks good, but FLECKTARN is the best in the world.

  • You sir are an idiot

  • you sire are a WHITE TRASH FUCKING CANADIAN CUNT!!!!!!

  • Yes and proud of it. But please dont talk about things you have no idea about. It just makes you look stupid

  • Ca i have a double big ass stacked US bigmac please ? or your too fat to move ?

  • One thing to be wary of is how thin CADPAT is. Having less volume than old ODs also means less fire protection. It tends to melt rather than protect.

  • Does CADPAT still fade after a few washes? I've heard that they fixed that, but am curious to know if they really did.

  • Hey mate, the CADPAT is really good now. Mine's been through quite a few washes, and it hasn't faded a bit.

Just have to remember to use light detergents, as the material gives up stains really easily as is.

  • i had some cadpat and it went through the wash quite alot (i had used it for paintball), it didnt seem to fade at al to me

  • haha he must be from Manitoba alot of them have that stereotypical Canadian accent

  • i think thats caus they are french

  • its actually French, bud...

  • I do respect our Canadian allies, but the accent is so goddamn funny.

  • that's french...

  • @HealeyIRA5 you only really hear an accent when it's Canadians from the prairies and out east. In Ontario you don't really here any difference between Canadian residents and Americans unless you go way up north.

  • @HealeyIRA5 most Canadians don't talk like that it is only the french Canadians that talk like that

  • @HealeyIRA5 We don't all have french accents... or east coast accents.

  • @HealeyIRA5 The funny accent = quebec English accent

  • @HealeyIRA5 haha i know right, i have a Canadian accent... well cuz i am canadian lol. i also have a cadpat boonie hat

  • @HealeyIRA5 Not all of us sound like that lol

  • @HealeyIRA5 brits are funny

  • @HealeyIRA5 the guy at :30 is french canadian, and so are the rest

  • @HealeyIRA5 it's because he's a french speaker

  • @HealeyIRA5 ya I know.im canadian and i still find it somewhat humorous the french accent some of the citizens has.

  • I like this comoflage. But US ACU pixel and German Flecktarn are also good...

  • dont be jelous just because marpat is horrible dosent mean you have to be a tool

  • MARPAT=Marines<Army I HATE MARPAT it doesnt even work i have done "field tests" The ACU is the best all around camoflauge for anywhere and kicks the shit out of anything else

  • Cadpat was designed b4 any other digital u tard

  • lol ur funny dumbass

  • man, that is a very organized shrub.

  • I want to see the Urban version! the arctic version looks very nice as well.

    5/5

  • Maybe for clothes, but there is a picture of a U.S. helicopter in Vietnam painted in a digital design. During WW2, there was square pattern camo on vehicals although it wasn't called digital camo.

  • so high tech! maybe they'll make it so it won't bloody well fade in 20 years.

  • When my co was wearing this stuff i almost ran her down at dust

  • aah...

    The French and Colors...

    Go, Quebec, Go...
