  • That must have been really scary :/

  • Wow really okay where I live we dont get tornadoes but maybe twice in a ten year period and even then I wouldnt be standing that close to the window because Id rather keep my life than gawk at strong winds. Not only that.....did you see those little kids by the windows?? No way in heck would I let my son be that close when something like that is happening. Geez...

  • What a surprise... Earth day, my birthday.. Lol :D

  • growing up in the south.....when you see rain moving like that you should know somethings up...

  • I saw like 13 people with a camera out.

  • Ah man, that guy ruined a "survival of the fittest" moment...

Beautiful footage of the winds outside, though.

  • If you were from the Midwest, trust me you'd be looking out the windows.

  • GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM THE WINDOWS PEOPLE!!!!!

  • wow

  • So what does everyone do, sits by the windows

  • Everyone was calm until that guy started yelling.

  • Did people even know it was a tornado raging outside? If so, they weren't being smart by being near the windows.

  • Will the passengers at Gate 11 please go to Gate 16 ... your plane moved :)

  • Ahhh. well that's the last time I complain about having my flight grounded due to bad weather. Kind of hard to run for your life when you're stuck on the runway......

  • @MEATYOKERRable I lived in southern CA for a while years back. Day 3 a big piece of concrete from the kitchen floor decided to pop up two feet. A tornado you can escape from. An earthquake you cannot. I about pissed my pants that night. Bed shook across the room and all (lol) I'll stick to chasing tornadoes.

  • Ha I live in California like most people all we get some earthquakes once in a while but I do want to experience a tornado (being indoors)

  • @alien17ful It's fucking scary, just letting you know.

  • i love how every one all claim till the guy comes in saying get it out

  • There always that one crazy girl that always yells ....IT'S A TORNADO!!!!!!!!!! ....really...,.hhmmmm i didn't know

  • They would of moved faster but the TSA agents were stopping people.

  • That would have been soooo cool to see! I know...I know...I'd be in grave danger but really...when you're in the moment like that, you can't help but want to watch.

  • thats one strong airport not one little thing fell

  • @playstation123lover Actually the windows got busted in. It was just some minor damage.

  • Yeah best place to be when there's lightning and a tornado right near the windows. Smart ases

  • LOL if this happend during the day. These people would not be next to the windows.

  • what did he say

  • Worst place to be during a tornado....an airport made of glass. They handled the situation well.

  • I was exactly 3 miles south of Lambert when this Tornado hit.

  • The dumb@sses were going to wait untill the glass starts flying. Classic stupidtity at it's finest!

  • the buildings so big, nobody got hurt

  • I hate airports. There is always someone telling you what to do; Empty your pockets, take off your shoes, run from tornadoes. Southwest is the worst! They won't give me a pillow so I can sleep.

  • so much for the intercom. nothing beats a man howling to stoke a panic lol!

  • This happened on my birthday...

  • so thats where i parked my plane

  • i just want to see that southwest airline plane get sucked up

  • that was just chuck norris farting!

  • that's what's called a micro-burst. I'm pretty sure no flights are leaving anytime soon.

  • Worst airport I have ever been to

  • 2:16 "Your journey is just beginning." LMAO!!!!

  • WINDOW Y U NO BREAK FOR ENTERTAINMENT!

  • british airport: please slowly move to the terminal in an orderly manner...

america airport: GET THE F*** OUT OR WE'LL ALL DIE!!!! MOVE MOVE MOVE!!!!!

  • All I thought of was those 2 kids by the window. one sitting...and the other watching out the window. Not a good place for anyone to be during strong heavy winds/tornadoes... more less kids! Glad everyone got evacuated away from there though.

  • @xxTheQueenBxx Yeah, tell me about it. I was under the impression that this video was going to demonstrate glass shards piercing peoples faces, LOL

  • It wouldnt be safe going back in duh plane

  • @AviationMan445 i know there not good but it gives you such an adrenalin rsh. i want that feeling

  • i would hate to be there too bt also exited because i have never experienced a tornado before

  • i was at busch stadium then Talk about fear. LOL

  • 00:8- 0:10 Tht Girl Was Like "Heres Some Coffee Its Just Wind"

  • Anybody who says they wouldn't be watching out the windows is not from the Midwest. Texas has high school football, we have tornadoes.

  • I would have hated to be in the air when that hit!

  • only a blonde bimbo would suck face with the glass and shoot video. i was just waiting for the glass to give and be sucked out!

  • boy southwest mustve lost some dough at the time..

  • I'm not from the US & i'd be well away from the windows if I was there with any storm about. You wouldn't of even got me on the plane i'd be in the lowest part of the building hiding until the storm had passed pmsl. God help me when I go to Disneyworld with the kids in a few years time i'll be a nervous wreck if there was any bad weather in the summer but i'd love to see some type of storm if that makes sense

  • @cazza2508 Florida doesn't get tornadoes. I mean it's possible but it rarely, and I mean rarely ever happens. If you were from the Midwest you'd be looking out the window 1. To see what the hell was going on 2. It's actually a pretty cool experience.

  • @TaylorMeows1: Yep, We rarely get Tornadoes. Even when we do, they are usually EF0-EF1 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. They are usually short lived and weak. Our highest risk of Tornadoes are usually when a Tropical System/Hurricane comes through. Basically, Tornadoes are not a problem here. Hurricanes are a totally different story though!

  • i was at st louis air port back in 1997 . bam i whish i was there on april 22 2011 . that whould have been eh experience i whould have loved.

  • @986tornado ahh, yes, 1997

    the good old days

  • @countryshmountry Well in 15 years from now we will say the same thing.

  • "Go, get out!"

Women proceed to sound like chickens with heads cut off.

  • CUZ U SURVIVED

  • OMG ur lucky Sheliaaliens

  • 2:13 "Your journey is just beginning...."

    .....foreshadowing?

  • I wish there would have been footage of the tornadic winds beginning to hit. But still, nice capture. People showed that they were nice and orderly. I'm glad there weren't a lot of women and girls screaming. God I hate that when it happens.

  • @WickedTornado IKR!! I Rember a tornado was gonna hit my school and all these pussy ass little girl were screaming their fucking lungs out (Note: This Is Senior Year At High School) and they were going like" i dont wanna die" and somebody said "you wont die if you sdfu.

  • @iMalibuTwinn Hey Malibu, I'm 57 and don't know what IKR means? Please clue me in. BTW-where was this high school that almost got hit? And yeah...I can just hear it now.....all those girls screaming. On one hand, I can understand, especially if that nader was coming close. But from my age, I can see how girls that are seniors in h.s. are basically still little girls, and if one screams they all do. Thank God I married a gorgeous, cool lady that ain't a screamer. She hates it too!

  • @WickedTornado IKR= I Know Right & Some School In Canada

  • @iMalibuTwinn Thanks bro, for clueing me in on IKR. I 'preciate it!

  • that was not just a little glass window it was a fucking potential wall of sharp death! crazy people man.................

  • Well Lambert Airport did need a remodeling anyway lmao

  • This just goes to show you how oblivious people are the the world. If I saw that outside a huge glass window, I would NOT be sitting right next to it. morons...

  • move to the other side where there is more glass sounds like a god idea to me

  • It's amazing how clueless a lot of people are about sensing danger,If I had been where these people were, I would've gotten as far from those windows as possible.

  • Looks like The Mist...now you know most people's heart was beating fast when that guy said "get out!"

  • uffa ainda bem q aqui em paulinia nunca teve tornados kkkk

  • @11lucasneto Sorry English only.

  • Yea, now they all have to go through security again.

  • @rrbond07 no, the airport was destroyed

  • im suprised the glass didnt break

  • this was right by my house, we barely missed the tornado.

  • @taybad01 Same here

  • why does it always have to be that one female everytim that does that trademark horror movie scream lol

  • thumbs up for the people who got there starbucks at :08 at the left of the screen

  • thought they would announce it over the loud speaker thing

  • thats nuts

  • oh look lots of wind and rain lets look outside mayb because its a tornado outside anyone know how big was it ?

  • I like how all the little kids ARE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DAMN WINDOW XD lol

  • @stsars13

    It's the child's innocence

  • i wouldnt be so close to the windows

  • i was there

  • Im from England and ive never seen a tornado in my life.....I would NOT be laughing, id bloody crying my heart out

  • @rbndottx I'm English too and I'd be part-shitting myself and part-wanting to knock out the fella attempting to cause a panic with the "Get out!!" shouting :D

I'd then use the opportunity to request the comfort of various American ladies due to my inexperience with tornados :D

  • Way to not panic people, Mr. Airport Person.

  • The guy who yells is 'Airport Security'... Nice announcement, dude. xD

  • this just looked like downdrafts it didnt even look like a tornado

  • @PaulB2Kool Well it was a tornado. An F4 tornado

  • that was handled so badly.... make an announcement... my gosh

  • @SlimShaney08 I didnt see it handled badly

They didnt need to make an announcement over the PA

I'm pretty sure the security guy standing right there coulda handled it.

  • @ShortyMoneyTV severe weather like that should have been being watched and I am sure that there were more people then just them

  • @SlimShaney08 Yeah true they probably shoulda been more prepared, but they handled the situation

Don't think anybody was seriously injured

  • @ShortyMoneyTV id say luck... but ya they needed a better procedure

  • @SlimShaney08 Try living in a city with NO siren or warning system after midnight, and getting a tornado at 2:30-3:00 am. If it was worse here than it was outside the city we would have had lots of deaths.

  • @Tonyshawnw why dont the city officials do something about that? obviously every city needs to be protected, i think even MD has tornado sirens and we like never get anything like that

  • @SlimShaney08 They had one here years ago it was old and fell apart because it was never needed. But now that the weather is forever changing and unbelievably unpredictable, all they can say is "It's being considered" Between 1700 to 1900 there was only 1 tornado but not close enough to the city for a siren to be alarmed. But from 1990 - 2011 we've had over 50-year 27 close calls and 1 night event. The rest were far enough out not to worry about.

  • @Tonyshawnw well still I feel with the crazy weather everywhere should have one

  • @Tonyshawnw Tony, with respect, I guarantee that between 1700 and 1900 there was a shitload more tornadoes that happened around that area than just one! Where did you see that stat? I've chased tornadoes for 25yrs. I'm not a meteorologist, but chase with them for a month every year. Our weather really isn't changing all that drastically. More tornadoes are being REPORTED now, as back in the day there was no weather service to even "report" them to. Plus, they had horses and buggys.

  • @WickedTornado Our weather never changed much and tornadoes were rare but now you could look outside, see sunshine and walk through the house and then within 10 minutes it's blacker than an ace of spades and pouring rain. Everyone here says "The weather changes every 5 minutes, Which is part true the wind changes direction every 5 minutes and the temperature never stays the same for 4 minutes, it's constantly bouncing.

  • @Tonyshawnw gee wiz looks like HAARP is working well.

  • @ThanksIKnowImlucky Oh well, the weather does what it does best, it can either tease us with nice weather or bring us to our knees.

  • WOAH!!!!! look carefuly at the clouds 0:15- 1:05! they are moving very fast!

  • looks like fun

  • i would be screaming my head off like thas AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BAM im dead

  • anyone notice there is no 3:03 it just goes 3:02 ...... 3:04

  • @flame623 omg there isnt!

  • 0:14 tornado is right by an airplane.

  • I was just waiting for a window to break

  • Way to cause a panic...jackass.

  • Mas é um cagão mesmo

  • AHAHA at 2:15 the sign says " YOUR JOURNEYS JUST BEGINING!"

  • OMG I WOULD BE SCREAMING AND YELLING AND CRAPPING MY PANTS

  • goodness, it looked like the whole cloud was collapsing! :O

  • just leave your stuff no one is going to take it

    except me

  • @TRAIN24NERD or except maybe the tornado free money for the tornado

  • Comment removed

  • Why do people have to wait for someone to say GET OUT before moving? People are actually AT the window, filming this thing going over-head. If I had been there and saw the clouds moving THAT FAST over my head, my feet would have moved so fast outta there that my ass would have to catch up!

  • 0:45 your journey is just beginning. Lol

  • get out..GET OUT!!!...it's much safer outside!! hahaha

  • I hoped the guy that started screaming to evacuate gets fired. No excuse at all.

  • @HuskerIsNumberOne I used to work at Lambert...The guy screaming was handling it the best he could because Lambert does in fact have tornado warnings but they didn't go off that day!

  • @HuskerIsNumberOne This is in the East terminal where no damage was sustained, many employees in the Main terminal were caught in flying glass because no warning was issued and they were forced to take cover by ducking behind their ticket counters which didn't provide much cover at all from all of the glass flying around. Even the tower wasn't notified and didn't evacuate!

  • @HuskerIsNumberOne The only warning passengers had we're the few employees that knew this wasn't a typical storm and yelled for them to take cover immediately. These so called unprofessional employees saved some lives that day!

  • BORING! Oh, I forgot. This is St. Louis. Nothing exciting ever happens there!

  • hey look a tornado, lets just stand right next to this glass window

  • I felt afraid to watch this! What happened after?

  • @LeoSuperfreak the tornado ripped through everything i live in stl'

  • When you see wind shear like that it's obz to run...

  • I/m surprised the TSA didn't make everybody go through the scanners as they were evacuating the concourse

  • @swmdal

    They're getting lazier.

  • That was NOT handled professionally......what an idiot.

  • it looks like a sprinkler spraying the windows

  • of course there that one girl that starts screaming like in the horror movies

  • i hate tornadoes. i have to live with 'em every year! and i'm just a teenager!

  • @mrmusicluver100 Aww, you poor defenseless creature.

  • @mickey3348 creature?

well yah i do feel sad for every year this happens. last year i lost my dog :(

  • @mrmusicluver100 Yes creature....Aww, it's so sad when you lose a pet..... :(

  • Anyone else find some extra meaning to the banner that said 'Your journey is just beginning.'?

  • @DontTakeMyBubbles And the sign at the bottom "Take Off"

  • I would have just thrown the screaming people out of the tornado.

  • Wow...the sign says "you are now beginning your journey"...journey into what and where?

  • Wow. I can't believe they waited until the tornado was bearing down on the airport to evacuate them. I live about 10-12 miles west of the airport, and saw the funnel cloud forming that tornado before it touched down, and it was reported it was forming 30 minutes before it hit the airport. It is a miracle no one in the airport really got hurt.

I think everyone else that got hit by the tornado took the warning seriously and went to their shelters. St. Louisans know when it is a real threat.

  • "Aaaand if you look to your left, you will see a large EF4 tornado heading right for us. Please evacuate areas near windows and welcome to Missouri!"

  • LOL I love the signs! Take off was a funny one. Take off into a large spiral of wind.

  • The man at 0:33 looked like he was about to leave.

  • Good question i was wondering if the wind blew it back toward the tarmack

  • once you see the rain going from left to right like that you should know that you need to get out of there FAST

  • Where did the plane go?

  • For those wondering why people didn't take cover sooner: They may have not realized that there was a tornado, as tornadoes can become rain-wrapped which makes them very hard or impossible to spot. That is one of, if not THE most dangerous time in relation to tornadoes. I know a couple trained weather spotters who had close calls thanks to rain-wrapped tornadoes.

  • Look at all the naive ignorant adults just looking like they have no clue what's going on. People are so fucking stuck in boxes..

  • Did they not know a tornado was coming? What took them so long to take cover? Instead its "oh look at the pretty lightening, lets get closer to the large glass windows and take pictures"

  • the annoying giggly girls shouldve been sucked up

  • @drjoe2323 I live in Stl Louis it not a disater on that part of the area.

  • whoever is screaming needs to be bitch slapped.

  • Why couldn't they announce it through the speakers with a calm voice? Some guy just starts yelling almost like it was a robbery.

  • @BigAngeloSantorini #ghetto

  • @BigAngeloSantorini TSA, doing everything to terrif.... um protect the public

  • @BigAngeloSantorini i agree with u on that i mean how hard was it to say

"attention please stay away from the windows a tornado has been reported in the airport please stay away from the windows thank you enjoy your visit"

i am a weather fanatic and when i have seen the clouds moving that fast i would went to the window and see what's going and then get my luggage and leave that terminal airplane or no airplane i would be left that area

  • @BigAngeloSantorini Because it's Saint Louis, and that's how it works there. haha

  • LOL

  • Just went to stl this place is still a disaster

  • @drjoe2323 Oh thanks lol that makes us St Louisians feel very good about our city.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow that rain didnt even look like rain, looked more like clouds. I wander how many people were in that airport that had never seen a tornado before lol
