The reason why they dont know the date of Jesus birth is because no one was there to see it. It was only marry and joseph and the shepherds and the animals and Also the 3 kings sow baby Jesus and the Angles. But no one was there to write it down.
But the day he died is in the spring time, but a lot of people think he was born in the spring time and he died in the spring time. For me I will all was believe.
So than the NT is not an eyewitness account of Jesus's life? Surely the 3 wise men knew who they were going to visit, why didn't they write something down? Jesus was supposedly executed in front of hundreds of people & why didn't any of them write it down? I'm beginning to think that people made up this Jesus guy.
@Celticking36 We know roughly (they weren't wrote down exactly as it was seen as unnecesary in those days). But the Church altered the dates to coinside with Pagan festivals so the transation from Paganism to Christianit would be simpler.
Non-the-less, theologists know roughly the dates of Jesus's birth and death.
If the New Testament is supposedly an eyewitness account of Jesus' life than how come we don't know the exact dates of his death or birth?
