  • the people talking shit about india should watch all of her interviews she is a patriotic indian , a good human being and a loving mother .

  • @skepticalien, you calling indian bloody indians though you yourself is also an indian , why you talking like white invaders , i am north indian i dont like dhoni i like amithabh sir ,i respect northeast for there contribution to indian sports why only mary kom there so many others like baichung bhutia, only azz hole ignorant can say them napali . i live in south delhi i see thousands of northeast people every day i will be more happy if more northeast people migrate to delhi .

  • @bigjoet22 ,wtf you talking about ,black indian? i bet my skin color is more fairer then yours , your a indian and u still dont know about your country, india mostly is a male dominated country Mary Kom is a woman that's why she does not get much attention besides this boxing is not much popular in india , i am north indian i hate cricket and i know about Mary Kom . northeast is a heart of india reflects our unity in diversity india is a free country you are free to choose any sports u like.

  • what will happen to suranjoy Singh if he is not form northeast India.. he will b fame... fame... this black Indian's dnt care about north East... example.. Mary Kom.. world no. 1 boxing champion for 5 times... what did she get from the Indian govt.???

and who is Virender Singh ?? how can he get much fame.. non the the others??? why? and how???

  • @Saaatana get your fact correct, yes India have many rapist but if you compare it with the proportion of population with any other country then India will have very less rapes...but i agree with you on smacking the rapists...

  • This documentary brought tears to my eyes... well fuc k indian cricket

  • Mary Kom did not tell her parents that she is into boxing as they were against boxing.she requested her parents to be a boxer but they did not approve.....her parents came to know that their daughter (Mary Kom) was into boxing only when they saw her in the newspaper as a State Champion boxing winner.....You are truely a Million Dollar baby...It is pathetic that almost 70% of the population in India does not know her even after being 4 times world champion....FOLKS GET OUT OF THAT STINKING WELL

  • It's a damn good documentary project. I can feel the limitations you must have faced during filming and processing. It's great job done! Congrats to you both!

And as for Mary Kom, what shall I say. You are the million dollar baby. Shine on!

  • " Ultimately, u're degrading the woman in general" in 2:04 is really STUPID.

wear sareE and go to HELL. looser @ boring gal with spec with boring yellow blouse and boring saree.

    LMAO......

  • India does not have any sports infrastructure .. its really dishearting !!

  • Best of luck Mary Kom . you make Indian women proud!

  • The colors and general cinematography are just delicious!

On your production blog I found that you were shooting with a Panasonic DVX. I'm going to be taking my Panasonic AGDVX100B to India later this year and was hoping you could post the following information on your blog or here:

    1. Were you working with 24P or 24P Advanced?

    2. What were your Scene File Settings?

    3. Did you have additional lighting indoors?

    4. Did you have trouble carrying your equipment through Indian Customs?

    Thanks!

    M

  • Congratulation Mary Kom on recieving the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award !

    I hope to see u in 2012 Olympics, hopefully u'll clinch a medal !

  • Thankx a lot for uploding dis video!!! god bless amry.. u r d real hero!!!

  • kanubari (what you wrote is really true)

    ==============================

let me add some more. She is from Manipur North-east India. Even the Manipur govt. didn't praise her and know her. Now she was just a Police woman in Manipur along with Four National Ladies Footballer... I wonder how can a 4th times world boxing champion & National Footballer are treated like this?

  • Wow...this is an AMAZING documentary!! I wish there was an actual movie about this so the eyes of the world can open and see the other side of sports!! it's very moving and inspiring!!! I live in America but am Greek...and all these americans talk about is baseball and american football...the close mindedness is very sad...

  • Man! Marry Kom is 4th time world champion & the people of our country!!! sux!!! except for cricket they wont't reach to any other sports.See the moroons in the vids...they don't know mary kom...wah! wah!

Mary Kom being ignored for khel ratna was big dissapointment.hell to that..sumthin Milkha sing.Man of his stature need to respect & know other sports too..Thanks Ammesha for this lil sweet documentry.

  • i totally agree with , i mean people are following cricket everytime , this pathetic game , and un-famous game ,

i think football and other games , india should concentrate upon

  • I think sports in ones life is very important. More young girls should take on sports. It builds confidants and self esteem. Great Job.

  • i agree with you...........

  • it is exquisite to see people using their talents to break social constraints; this is what life is about - in my view. . .

  • It's nice to see independently-made documentary features like this on YouTube from time to time; good work! I know this was a rough demo, but it could have done with a bit more boxing. :)

  • nice video...the last women boxer they show has good boxing skills and she also seems to be very fast...keep up the wonderful work...peace

  • mary kom is 2 time amatuer world boxing champion. but beware if you fight against thailander womens boxer... they got score even if their boxer got slipped, on break and just brawling... keep up indian girls, i worked with indian people. they are so passionate. im happy as their to develop them to be the best...

  • There are a lot of good women boxers in the state of Tamilnadu. Many had to: abusive husbands, mothers/fathers, and brothers/sisters.

  • What a beautiful rough cut! Please send it to my group, "Right to Fight" to request that it be added to my site (which is dedicated to women's boxing).

  • Awesome work Ameesha. Love it. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see the final feature film next year.
