  • WOW!! Good job man. I did not see this coming. Very nice mix. 2 thumbs up for originality.

  • a beautiful song was completely destroyed.

  • exceptional beat bro, Jay-z not it all XD

  • Wow. This mash-up is amazing.

  • I'm so white that I'm transparent. I'm a middle-aged Texas lawman. I don't particularly care for rap.

Then I find this mash-up of Jay-Z and Louis Armstrong bossanova. And I like it.

Isn't it nice to know that my horizons can expand?

  • is there just an instrumental to this? love the track man

  • Parabens filho da puta, cago na musica de um icone da musica americana, jay-z fuckyou

  • It doesn't surprise me how moronic most of these comments are in regards to this "disrespectful" mash-up. Its called music.

If anything I actually find it makes more sense these two are on the track. Both experienced the same struggles of poverty but both took parallel paths to achieve the same thing. Anyone who believes that such a thing doesn't happen in real life is an idiot.

That is life. Some people rob, steal, sling, hustle to get by, others do it the right way. Get over it.

  • i dont think louis armstrong would ever want a remix with a rapper. especially if the song talks about drugs, money and hoes.

  • @h0ih0i This doesn't seem to insulting to the legacy of Louis Armstrong, I mean Sampling a few lines is one thing, but if you really wanna see some straight disrespect Check out what Kenny G did with What a Wonderful World, It's easily the most arrogant and atrocious thing I have ever seen.

  • Why would you ruin an Armstrong song with this remixed crap. Worst mashup/remix that I have heard in a long time.

  • @boondockjoe . Common give this guy some credit. I think this is an amazing blend between two music genres. I#m impressed!

  • (Y) ^^

  • awesome remix!- been on repeat for a while

  • i find this offensive because african-americans have hard times i this country till this day and i find this video a mockery o afrian -americans on the ultimate level !! this is from an african=american male such as myself !!

  • RESPECTLESS FUKKINN BASTERD REMIXER

  • "if you dont like my music then press fastforward"

    *presses fastforward*

  • is it me, or does jay z always sound much better on remixed versions of his tracks?? this, the grey album etc etc... dope as fuck

  • and fugg whut everybody else say...im not a jay z fan and u made that sound hot...with the louis and the bossanova..from a dood who raps and made beats that was excellent...let the haters hate but that was an awesome job

  • DAYUM THIS SHYT IS EPIC

  • Let me rephrase that, this is purely disrespectful to Louis Armstrong and the spirit of his music.

  • This is kind of like taking something extremely spiritual and sacred and mixing it with something worldly and egotistical. In a way it is sort of disrespectful to Louis.

  • No one "ruined" any music. You can still go listen to both songs seperately.

  • It feels like Louis Armstrong is phucking messing with Jigga's aggressions at every time in the video whenever he's trying to drop a hard punchline - changes to soft as cotton candy. lol "be peaceful young man...” lol

  • take out JZ.

i mean hey i like him n all hes chill. but not fitting this song. for sure.

  • whats the song armstrong is singin?

  • @mudda29 i want 2 know too

  • @mudda29 , @Walisgton Nobody knows the troubles i've seen.

It's on youtube, it's in my playlist with Louis and Sinatra etc in :-)

  • oh yay thats another douche bag ruining music for the masses

  • interestinggzzz.

it's cool but some parts get all crazy.

    maybe with one more listen?

  • the beat is good, but the Jay-z can stfu pl0x.

  • I have trouble putting these two musicians together in my head. Not just 'cos it's new and old. I think it's cos of the contradicting styles of communicating musically, Jay Z has lots of words and swears whereas Louie can stand there with hardly anything behind him and communicate a simple message. Jay Z has a good message, but I don't really think he's as deep as Louie.

It's well mixed though, I really like it if I blur the words and the fact it's Louie (my fave trumpet player of all time)

  • Stop whining. Jay-z is just as good a vocalist as Louis Armstrong. I'm pretty sure Louis would respect Jay anyway. It's called taste,a nd it differs.

  • Not really feeling this at all. Though seeing how I'm a huge fan of Mr. Armstrong that would make me kinda a biased commenter.

I do like when people blend old with the new but this just doesn't sound very good at all. Try again JayZ, perhaps on the Magenta or Burnt Sienna Album (it's obvious he's going through all the colors)

  • Comment removed

  • it doesnt get more post modern than that

  • a mess!

  • Will Singers (if you can call this singing) please stop ruining all the Oldies; most of them are not here to defend themselves anymore and I'm 100% sure, Louis would not want to be a part of this!

  • 1st time listeners will be all PffT n Stuff, but ... husshhh, wake next morning and what that Tune Ringing in your head good n Clear..8)

  • WOW

  • Personally I hate this,Armstrong was a wonderful singer with a great voice, compared to such utter trash....It's a dishonor to Armstrong and everything he stood for,Congrats you managed to actually make my favorite song sound plain awful.

  • Why are people hating on JayZ for this? He didnt make the remix

  • Jay z fucks up a great singer artist why he steals other peoples songs and fucks them up very untalented turd

  • louis an amazing singer jay z just copies ands fucks everything up poor louis is prob rolling in his grave jayz should make shit on his own instead of fucking up an amazing artist why he sits there with his figures in his ass what a fake piece of trash o by the way go red sox

  • Guys, how about commenting the actual mix? I don't like Jay-Z at all, and I love Louis Armstrong, but I don't care about that, because the mix is really awesome. This is not an essay about how Jay-Z is better than Armostrong or viceversa, it's a song that's a mix between these two. HOnestly now, when you listen to music, you just listen to music and feel that music. You shouldn't give a damn about either of them's upbringing and talent.

  • I gotta respect this just because it's a damn good effort

  • wow this is terrible, why would you put some one with REAL TALENT with some one who's music is 98% computer. Shameful.

  • @dudepower100 its not computer at all homie. When Jay Z was making music they didn't have audio editing software. Drum machines, samplers, synthesizers, and other instruments were normally used to make this kind of music back then.

  • yeah feelin it wicked

  • megaSook!

Technically: rhythm, melody & beats sync... but this song is STILL SHIT.

    Boo hoo!

Just because you made an effort doesn't mean it's not a piece of crap. SUCK IT UP you weak c*nt

    My bullshit ego?!

lol, I'm aware of life's limitations mate, so I know where I stand. Do you honestly think you're that good that no-one may cast a critical eye on your work? Arrogant!

You don't understand Armstrong. Get some life experience & emotional depth

When yr Louie's age, replay this... & let me know

  • @hubba921

do some research fool, louis grew up in the same situation the jayz did, just a different time and place. they have mroe in common than you think.

  • louis armstrong sang a spiritual song with openness and compassion

jay z sang out of greed, ego, pride. that's bad karma. jay z would do well to listen to the teachings of buddha.

  • @questionful

    haha your a joke

  • @megaDoombringer

jay z is a joke. armstrong was far more real

  • @megaDoombringer

jay z is a joke. armstrong was far more real

  • thank you jay z for ruining a spiritual song written to express the sorrow of slaves and turning it in a 'hood song' just to make some money..thank you hip hop!...

  • @BigDuda93 I could be wrong but i really don't think Jay-Z himself had anything to do with this remix...

  • thats incredible!

  • Oh shit!

I once compared Jay-z with Louis Armstrong impact in the music industries, finding both excellent musicians even tho' they are in different era.

    Outstanding Job!

This is going to my Ipod.

  • jay z talks about ass tits drugs and stealing. louis armstrong talks about real life

  • @Z4d1s u say that like ass tits drugs and stealing arent components of "real life" what planet do you live on?

  • @Z4d1s If you don't like his lyrics, you can press fast forward.

  • @russellmichelson Unfortunately there's no button for that.

  • @Z4d1s Ass tits and drugs are real... I see them all the time...

  • @Z4d1s Ass, tits and drugs ARE real life!

  • @Z4d1s he's from the hood, stupid. what type of facts are those?

  • wow. just wow

  • nice

  • Oh, how brilliant!

  • Perfection !!!

  • Can hear everything. Great!

  • Outstanding

  • nice job. thanks for sharing.

  • I love the combo of Jay-Z and Luois. very good job. 10/5 stars!

  • what a mashup of styles and genres :) and ages,too :D

  • Nice...

  • jay-z isnt music!

    Louis is the best!

  • could you possibly put this awesome video/audio on rapidshare for people to put on their ipods.

the link you have is dead :(

  • Thx for the compliment... There are two new links for video and audio under infos that should work now!

  • Thank you soo much.

    it's pretty incredible work .

  • @StannersTheManners i'm more concerned with the fact that louis is dead and we'll never get to hear him make new music =(

  • This is so good.

I love Jay-Z (one of the greatest rappers of all time, bar none) and Louis Armstrong (one of the best trumpet players ever, and an amazing bandleader).

They both have their strengths and this remix deserves mad props.

    Well done.

  • thats awesome man... just had to download it

  • This one is better than Weezer.

  • fuck these haters, keep doin ya thing

  • Maybe Louis wouldn't have consented to this if he was alive but this bloke has done a really good job with this, i love it. Atleast he'd have the knowledge it was a decent mix. Favourited, well done donovandun86

  • People speaking for Louis, give me a fucking break. Get over yourself, pseudo-philosophic imbeciles don't know shit about a dead man's perspective. The overlap is really well done. They're both mainstream artists, that's enough to relate them.

  • donovandunn86, your download link is dead by the way... better change it.

  • Wow, that was funny to see Jay getting shot on such a happy music... l like this vid, you're skilled donovandunn86. Way to go : Fuck the Haters!

  • this is like critising louis if louis was alive he would beat the shit out of jay z for making this remix

  • @leadfarmer13

they would probably like each other, they both grew up the same way, just a different time and place

  • its technically and musically very well done, but the concept is a bit garbled

  • This is a disgrace. Louis is a legend, Jay-Z is an artist in his own right. But to take two people with talent and mix them and call it yours is like signing a VanGogh or Rembrandt and calling it yours.

  • remixing actually took work on the part of whoever did it and jay-z and louis armstrong are given credit as the original artists...

so your analogy is not even close

  • Musically (technically) it works.

But where there is talent there is no soul.

Louie would never be associated with such crass lyrics and imagery. You have ripped the tune and sample but you have not duplicated the success of Jay Z or grace of Armstrong.

Keep trying but check your ego at the door. Your not good enough to f*ck with the greats and its typically arrogant that you ever thought you could.

  • @NG8TVInfluence

hey stupid, go do research on when and where armstrong grew up. they both have similar upbringing, just different place and time. you check your bullshit ego, since you clearly know nothing about armstrong history

  • Yo, I grew up on mixtape originators; Ron G, Kid Capri, early Clue, Reinbo Productions, and this is DOPE!

    Good job, homie!

  • jesus christ man... this is a big fat crap on louis' face

  • Don't listen to anyone. You are insanely talented!

  • Guys seriously, lay off.

The remix is something new, and interesting.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you need to diss it and comment on the video. Just keep your opinions to yourself, and quit bitching to each other.

  • this is fuckin bullshit

whoever made this should be shot

  • Bless bossa....

    Miss you m*

  • this is amazing

  • ha ha ha the guys at 3:00 looks like Allan Ginsberg

  • wtf is that? :D

  • Sucks hard time, srsly. I'm sorry, thats just the truth. Louis has more musicality in his little finger than Jay-Z will ever have, at all. Delete this.

  • that doesn't mean making this took a lot of talent

  • YO WTF?

  • fuck JayZ when Louis Armstrong singing.

  • this is funny..

    and pretty good :)

  • How could you mix Louis Armstrong with Jay-Z.

Taking something great and a respectable musician Louis Armstrong with someone how puts Urban Poetry over a over used back beats is a horrible idea

  • you are a horrible idea too

  • @drummerfreak909

hey dummy, go do some research. you only know louis cuz he is famous now. your ignoring how he came up, which was a huge influence on his music, just like jay z raps about his life. he was basically the jay z of his time.

  • what would Satchmo say?

Well i would say it sounds funny.

  • Comment removed

  • oh wow this is good

  • BANANAS!!!!!!! :D

  • amazing

  • how do you get only the voice of Jay-z...pls tell me^^

  • no offense but this isnt really good i think the music is a little loud, im no music expert. but i think to make this one better you need have to have Jay-Z's raping a little louder than the back ground music. Its hard to follow the music.. to much going at one time.

  • ROFL Jay-Z's "raping"? try putting 2 p's in there so it's not molestation :P

  • Bahahah wow i made that sound soo dirty lol

  • ahaha

  • @blake1405

    haha

  • this was a beastly sample man

  • Now im sure "Jay-Z" is a fan of Louis Armstrong, but this is just disrespectful to put such musical genius alongside garbage trying to pass as some ill fitted form of music

  • How so? Both genres are extremely expressive. Both genres are dominated by african americans. Both genres when they became mainstream were looked extremely down on. If anything I think this song is a tribute to the past.

  • @kelseyMTBing

your an idiot, if you lived when louis was around you'd be saying the same thing about armstrong that you did about jay z. they are actually very similar, both were influenced by their surroundings growing up. they grew up very similar, just a different place and time.

  • were is the bossa nova part?

    lol

  • actually I take that back, this song is the shit

  • the combination of jay and armstrong isn't maybe the best, but i sure like the beat, were can i get it

  • I seriously doubt that Louis Armstrong would agree with "Money Cash Hoes."

  • how would you know, you knew louis armstrong? and don't forget louis armstrong was progressive and shocking to certain people in his time

  • how would you know, you knew louis armstrong? and don't forget louis armstrong was progressive and shocking to certain people in his time

  • @CrosbySinatraAndDean

he would have completely agreed, he grew up very similar to jay z, just different place and time.

  • The music in this is beautiful. This is an excellent sample

  • crap

  • This is dreadful. Hitch your wagon elsewhere talentless.. Absolutely redundant. Louis Armstrong was a genius. This is just tripe.

  • Jay-Z rape this song....

  • i hate jayz but aside of that i don't like this im sorry bro,

  • NOOOOOH Why rape such a good artist?! why? damn..

  • think i'll FAST FORWARD

  • Such a disgrace to a great artist. "Artists" like Jay-Z produce glorified poems full of shit while Louis is a true artist. Music these days, especially rap artists dont have respect for what music was in the beginning, a love, a passion. Now its just about money and pussy. Terrible, just terrible.

  • @CaliPunk666

you idiot. louis armstrong was jay z of his time. just because you weren't alive, doesnt mean you have to attach this godlike stigma to armstrong. they had very similar childhoods. do some research stupid

  • @megaDoombringer It's an integrity problem. Armstrong had a true passion and love and integrity. Their upbringing has nothing to do with it, Louis Armstrong was nothing like Jay Z. Armstrong made music out of love for the world and his life, Jay Z ruins that music with lyrics about bitches and hoes, and particularly violence against those women. In the end, Jay Z is still a worthless piece of trash compared to Louis Armstrong.

  • It sounds good, but there's something so wrong about it

  • The best music inn the world is jay-z feat amstrong good track :D

  • jay-z is a cunt who cant sing/rap and needs to die

  • Nob-Head

  • And fyi if your that fucking full of hatred towards rap music as a genre back the fuck off a link that plays rap music. Ppl like you come on this sorta vid just to bitch and moan even though you knew full well this was a jayz song.

  • Can you upload this onto Limewire somehow?

  • I like this mix, I think it is creative and interesting. Take is easy Army man, stand down.

  • dont tell me to stand down guy.

you know im right! unlike jz, Louis had morals... he was a very polite man who remembered where he came from but didnt brag about it. no one should be happy about living in the bad part of town. ive been through some shit that ppl just cant even understand. because drug dealers, and 'pimps' like jay z fucked up my neighborhood. i had/ have to live through that. so thank you jay z! because of you and your people, the rest of us have to suffer.

    R.I.P. Satch!!!

  • Chill out nutsack, no one here is taking it that seriously. The person combined these two songs to be creative and mix genres. Take your preaching and ideology somewhere else, people are trying to enjoy music here.

  • ease up period pad.

the person mixed these two songs from completely different sides of the story.

now dont get me wrong, the song is catchy. but its just fucked up. what if they mixed this song with some racist ass song about killing blax...... would you like that? i dont think you would. neither would i, this is no different. so make your way over to the next video and stay out of our discussion.

  • ironic that your telling me to ease up when your throwing a shitfit over the song lol While I'd keep arguing with you but your probly sensitive being on your period and all. No worries, maybe when your flow calms down and the sand comes outta your vagina you'll relax abit. Cheers

  • yep.

continue on insulting me kitty kat...

cause we all know damn well you wouldnt be saying any of this shit in person.

you came at me first... just mind your own.

  • you're so right, some guys just don't get it... too bad

  • @ARMYMan92

louis armstrong played to these same people in his time. he was just as much a man of the ghetto as jay z. armstrong is basically the same as jay z , just a different time and place.

  • @ARMYMan92

louis armstrong played to these same people in his time. he was just as much a man of the ghetto as jay z. armstrong is basically the same as jay z , just a different time and place.

  • @megaDoombringer But Armstrong had integrity passion and didn't care about the money,"He was born poor died rich, and never hurt anyone along the way."

  • albundy......

    Hop the Fuck Off!

  • i apologize for cursing at you.

i was in a bad mood when i replied.

    it was uncalled for.

but i still disagree with you.

  • Why would you do this?

    LOUIS WASNT ABOUT THIS SHIT!

    LOUIS HAD RESPECT FOR WOMEN!

    LOUIS HATED THE GHETTOS!

LOUIS DIDNT LIKE THOSE BLACKS WHO BROUGHT THE AFRICAN AMERICAN RACE DOWN!

    Jay Z enjoys drug dealing.

jay z has no respect for women if he is degrading 'hoes'.

jay z is very vulgar and profane. Louis wasnt.

jay z brings the African American race down.

I really dont think Louis would have appreciated you fusing these two completley different songs together. I know I dont like it.

  • I don't think I like your tone
