I love how you say well, Iris has "captured" some bubblewrap. Because that is exactly what she is doing, carrying it like prey. I have seen my cats do this lots of times. She was prob looking for a place to hide and "eat" it....(not that she would really eat it)

Victoria, B.C. harbour is the runway for a lot of sea planes. Vessels less than 60 feet are required to enter and leave via a small channel off to the south, leaving the entrance open to seaplane traffic.

Iris is a very good swimmer but chooses not to swim in the sound, too salty and 50 degrees F. Warm fresh water is ok.
