I tried this the other day for a sweltering cookout . It worked great, it did fall out midway through the day because I didn't bring enough bobby pins but, it easily went right back up. Thanks.
All you gals who do hair tutorials seem to have such THICK hair. Mine is so thin, things never come out quite right! But this is a beautiful and easily done style, thanks for sharing!
i have to say, ive been wearing my hair like this literally every day. its so easy and looks beautiful. and its perfect for when ur having a bad hair day. thanks so much! im going to be making a may faves video and i will link this video when i mention the hairstyle!
i've been fixing my hair like this a LOT lately. it gets really hot and humid here too (north carolina) and it's such a nice alternative to just putting your hair in a pony tail. it's so simple and quick to do, plus i love that you don't have to set your hair in order for it to work.
Thank you so much for the post. It was really easy to do thanks to your clear, concise and straightforward instructions. I tried it at work with a new dress, and I couldn't believe how many complements I received. Keep with hair tutorials coming!
@elegantly: This hair-do kind of reminds me of the ones that ladies wore in the WWI era (one of my favorite periods). Thank you for representing all of us 1910's-loving gals!
I saw Downton Abbey on dvd. I think Masterpiece Classic wraps up this Sunday, till the Fall season. I read D.A. won't be back until the Fall of 2012 in the U.S. due to the tv schedules, but it's worth the wait. :)
Have you ever heard of 'amish pins'? You might have better results with them. They are steel, and very strong. I have used the 'regular wire hairpins' and the often bend and I use more than I need. Go to plainly dressed DOT com and then accessories
Your hair is SO beautiful! I'd have to let my hair grow out so much longer just to get it to look like this (my hair is about your length, but half the thickness and volume). Love the video though. :0)
This is so pretty!! Love you tuts keep them coming please!!!could you do one on hoew to sew? Like a basic one? Or one on you hair do for your SH dance! That one was also gorgeous!
@brunhofer It's unfortunately the quality I had to save the video to upload; at hi-def (nice focus! :p) it was going to take 7 hours for a 6 1/2 minute video! UGH! Which annoys me because the quality of the original video was sooo good. :p
oh god! I am going to be a bride's maid in June and I have been searching for a hairstyle that I can do. I am horrible at doing my own hair and was very stressed about figuring it out. This is going to be what i will do! Thank you so much!
I really admire your style, hair, fashion, and makeup. It is unique classy and easy to do for every girl out there. I really like doing some of your hair do's on my daughter who is 5 with really long hair. She loves them I love them and were both happy :o)
Your hair is the most beautiful colour! Is it natural? I love this look it's great and you are so pretty :)

But mine doesn't look as nice anymore because I recently got blunt bangs that I have to deal with.
