used to love this song back in the day. Man oh man i had forgotten all about it until yesterday I heard it on Sirius Radio - Soul Town. did not even know that she had died. I loved Dee Dee Warwick!
I've just discovered this song and I looove it! I had no idea Dionne's sister was singing at all. I actually prefer Dee Dee's voice to Dionne's. It is so fantastic and powerful.
not to take anything away from this song, but i really do LOVE Sublime's kinda 'cover' of this song. but i have to admit the original is great in itself
I came across this song about 32 years ago. It was in the morning on my way to my first summer job. I played everyday for the entire summer. Swore up and down that I sounded as good as her. This was my stuff!!!!
Oh my God...the tears are flowin'...so so beautiful.Bless you Dee Dee...so much emotion...so much pain.Greatest song ever recorded.Miss you Dee Dee xoxo
Love Marva too....Dee Dee was a tremedous talent that got sidelined by her sister.......and she knew it every day of her life..A very talented family that should have done more collaborations
This song is TOTAL DEE DEE. This song brings back so, so many memories. This song should've been a HUGE hit for Dee Dee. What a voice and what a performance.
I heard this on my X-M radio the other day and it brought so many memories back to me!!! I love this song...and for all you old school out there who can appreciate this song, go listen to Laura Lee sing. 1969 produced some incredible music!
I have listened to this and seen live from my friend.....it doesn't get better than this and I just pray everyday she is feeling the love from the fans who loved her..That is all she ever wanted
WAIT! GO BACK AND ADD IN THE BEGINNING! One of the things that makes this so fine is the great 45-second guitar solo-intro before Dee Dee comes in and takes off. Damn, what a great tune.
It is sad that after her death, for that one week when people were searching her like crazy, her best song has gotten so little views..I am hoping it is because her fans know this one so well!!!
Sublime covered this?

Quiet as it's kept, Dee Dee was the best singer in her family. This is one of her best, and thanks for putting it up.

Back in the day people would bring their records to a party and would label them so that you were sure to get them back at the end of the party.
