I don't like the idea of sticky tape so close to my lenses. If the tape gets too warm the adhesive softens up and oozes out. It would be a real shame to ruin your expensive scope or camera because your too cheap to buy a proper adepter.
It is of course possible to build a model without the tape on the inside if you are worried about this. The model I use myself at the moment is built that way.
You should consider this version as a starting point, it will probably require some modification to work well for your own spotting scopes and cameras.
OMG! Where were you when I was thinking about doing this my self! Exactly what I was thinking too... I ended up buying one for $40. But my Barska scope is straight, so I don't know if it would have worked as well on mine as it does on yours.
Brilliant! But sooner or later you're gonna need to flick the camera on and off the ocular. That's why you're gonna invent a new "flicking" adapter, you'll see :-) I've already passed this stage :-D
