  • I don't like the idea of sticky tape so close to my lenses. If the tape gets too warm the adhesive softens up and oozes out. It would be a real shame to ruin your expensive scope or camera because your too cheap to buy a proper adepter.

  • It is of course possible to build a model without the tape on the inside if you are worried about this. The model I use myself at the moment is built that way.

  • Thank you all for your comments!

You should consider this version as a starting point, it will probably require some modification to work well for your own spotting scopes and cameras.

    Good luck!

  • Hahaha, hi precission there, just right for a Zeiss

  • Hmmm...0:55, using shop tools with no eye protection to make a device for taking pictures with a very expensive monocular.

    Ooookaaayyy... xp

  • OMG! Where were you when I was thinking about doing this my self! Exactly what I was thinking too... I ended up buying one for $40. But my Barska scope is straight, so I don't know if it would have worked as well on mine as it does on yours.

    Excellent vid, thanks!

  • Brilliant! But sooner or later you're gonna need to flick the camera on and off the ocular. That's why you're gonna invent a new "flicking" adapter, you'll see :-) I've already passed this stage :-D

  • think its easier to buy one. ha
