That was just 5th gear right? doesnt the ZR1 have the close ratio six speed where top speed is achived in 6th? or was he just taking it easy for the test run?
When Hennessey went in and did whatever modifications they did to the engine, they would have reset the rev limiter to match the profile of the camshaft. I'm sure that a larger cam was at least one of the mods that they did. Although It still idles smooth, at just 700 RPM, likely due to the wide separation between intake and exhaust lobes.Bigger cams like more RPM. The extra RPM is no sweat for the bulletproof bottom end of the LS9, especially since it has a shorter stroke than the LS7.
actually prolly turned the suspension to sport to stiffin it up. he prolly launched it in tour mode so you can get more weight transfer to the rear wheels for traction..... thats where you want it for drag racing. but when goin at high speeds sport mode is more stable
yes, you are correct, but competition mode does that in both suspension settings, if thats tour or sport, and tour mode will create more weight transfer than sport mode weather comp. mode allows for a launch or not..... he switches from tour to sport mode on the center council in front of the shifter right b4 he shifts to 4th......its quite obvious
Damn he shifts faster than a Fap fap

Competition mode automatically tunes it for a drag racing launch and stiffens it up for the rest of the run :)
