Yeah, it's always a different plot with different characters.
They share the name "Final Fantasy" Since they have similar battle system (though i believe it changed in twelve and on...?) and gameplay. they also have similar settings and creatures like chocobos, moogles, magic, an age before modern technology (although FFVII and FFX were of the more modern..)
@boboko24 It was kind of the point - the game emphasises that they love each other deeply and that Rasler's death DRIVES Ashe's character arc. Games made by Yasumi Matsuno (who wrote FFXII, FF Tactics and Vagrant Story, as well as Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together) place their primary focus on the absolute ESSENTIAL characterisation rather than the deepening aspects of it (and some fall by the wayside/die quickly). It's not necessarily BAD, but it's not everyone's preference.

Silly voices aside, this game is boss. BOSS, I SAY. Except I keep getting my rear kicked in the Nalbina dungeon, but I don't care, because it's my United States of Whatever! Or... Archadian Empire of Whatever. WHATEVER.
And anyways, Balthier's a dead sexy gent with a dead sexy accent.
is the game good? alot of ppl say ff12 is boring... any ideas?

Except for X and X-2, that's a sequel.
