According to Officers John Baird, Ron Previte, Steven Brown, James Ryan, Thomas DeGovanni, Edward Spangler, and hundreds of other cops convicted of felonies since the 1970's, every officer the Philadelphia Police Department routinely robs, defrauds, extorts, assaults, tortures, frames, lies, perjures, conspires, and/or otherwise feloniously victimizes the taxpaying citizens who pay their salaries, or at least covers up for cops who do. Cops are rarely held accountable for their crimes.

As Askia's beating video graphically evidences, Philadelphia cops deliberately provoke, enrage, and antagonize law-abiding civilians in order to have an excuse to arrest, assault, and otherwise dominate them and employ torture toys (such as tasers and batons) against them. Judging by cops' aforementioned behavior and their ridiculously exaggerated physiques, cops seem to be more concerned about flexing their metaphorical, imagined, and literal muscles of power than about upholding any law.

Philadelphia police officers are sanctimonious frauds who hide behind a facade of law and order. They are lying cowards who never admit to their own crimes, yet frequently try to frame innocent people for crimes which they did not commit. Cops are not interested in upholding laws, only in massaging their unwarranted god complexes, faux blue-collar hero vanities, and unjustifiably inflated egos. Cops are willing to ruin lives just to feed their petty tyrannies.

Askia's injuries from the PPD's assault on him last year are still affecting him. Every day has become a struggle for our brother, Askia Sabur. He struggles to carry his 1-year old son so much that he can only hold him for a few minutes. Walking anywhere for him is even a challenge. According to Captain Edward Spangler, Officer John Baird, and many other Philadelphia police officers who were convicted in federal court, all Philadelphia police officers are criminals who routinely rob, extort, frame, perjure, torture, lie, racketeer, conspire, murder, and otherwise perpetrate felonies, or at least cover up for cops who do.

Eighteen Philadelphia police officers have been arrested in the previous twelve months. Of course, for each token scapegoat, there are hundreds of other cops perpetrating the same (and worse) crimes who do not even get legitimately investigated. There never has been, and never will be, legitimate accountability in the Philadelphia Police Department, as per an independent investigation conducted in 2004 by a former suburban prosecutor. Power with no accountability breeds arrogance and crime.

Extrapolating, using the Philadelphia Police Department's own statistics, 4.8% of cops will be arrested. Also, a large study evidenced that only 8% of police crimes will result in an arrest. Using the aforementioned set of data, assuming a proportional distribution of felonies committed by cops arrested and those not, one could logically conclude that 60% of cops are criminals. That percentage is probably 100% if conspiracy and aggravated perjury are counted (re: the blue wall of silence.)

@titanicmusic14 You can do that but alot of damage is done in the process.First of all just being arrested you have to sit on a steel bench for at least 18-22 hours..You say its not that bad but you do it for something you didnt do..Then you get a court date,that gives you another court date.Philly is so much buraeucracy..Its no wonder theres so much crime.

counties with hardly any crime for misdemeanors take you to the station for about an hour then let you go with a summons.
