they still don't sound mainstream, and they're still meaningful. bands just grow and mature, and you can't expect the people in them to bend to your whim and be in the same mind set forever. they're still a great band. i do miss their older songs and their more unique sound, but don't get upset with a band you loved for changing. just focus on the old songs if you don't like the new.

I LOVE TSC. I am SOO obsessed. I do love their old music it seemed real and deep and meaningful and no matter who you are you could relate and ... I don't know. It was just so REAL. I do like their new stuff too though. I love real, deep music but fun and upbeat is nice too. I'm not complaining about their new stuff. EVERYTHING by The Spill Canvas is absolutely perfect. Although I will complain about Nicks new haircut... much better before :/ but still sexy either way :P

Everyone keeps whining that they want the "old" Spill Canvas back. Every band grows and their music evolves with it. Just because this doesn't evoke the same emotion as songs like "The Tide" doesn't mean it lacks passion. No matter what the Spill does with their music, it's beautiful to me :)

Yeah i really like their old stuff too. And i would like it 10 times more than this, but their a band and every one cant just play what one person wants to they have to play together. All bands evolve though but one thing they should never forget is what got them here in the first place and it seems like allota bands forget that. But still great music none the less...

I mean, maybe not all of them but most of them. especially 10000 Midnights & Gateway Drug. true the songs don't have the same exasperation as some of the older songs but I definitely feel that The Spill Canvas is doing some great things & I'm glad they're trying new stuff.

If it wasn't for Nick's voice, I wouldn't be able to tell this is TSC. They "experimented" so much that they don't even sound like the same band anymore. With No Really, I'm Fine they changed quite a bit but there were still hints of the old Spill. After hearing Parallels and Money I was happy because I thought they were going back to their old sound but this new stuff it's just a big disappointment.

these are good songs, but they pale in comparison to anything off Sunsets & Car Crashes. That album is the reason i started writing songs, and i just don't hear anything in the new stuff that sounds even close to as good as that. nick deserves all this success, so i'm glad he's getting it, but it makes me sad knowing there's not gonna be another "the tide" or "black dresses"

@mattmccue1 YES! Sunsets and Car Crashes was beautiful. I actually bought the CD four years ago and I never buy CDs anymore, that's how much I love that album. "The Tide", "Your Evil Soul", "3685", and "All Hail the Heartbreaker" will forever be some of my favorite songs.

Like what most people said, we adore you guys & this song.. but only out of your new stuff. I love seeing bands grow & take on new things but judging by your new music it feels like a whole new band, which is quite sad. Yeah, us cocky lil fans shouldn't be whining for your old stuff, but all we really miss is the simplicity & passion; those slow acousticy songs with meaningful lyrics that shake you to the root. I don't give up on my bands, so I'm still a big supporter of you guys!
