  • Great idea! Unfortunately, poorly executed. It was poor vocals, poor acting, and unimaginative script. But the idea of a musical based on 1984 gave me a smile. Ah, what the satire could have been

  • uhh 23 minutes??

  • david bowie wanted to write a musical based on 1984, instead he released 'Diamond Dogs' which is a concept album based on it.

  • "Does anyone know what time it is?"

    "It's TORTURE TIME!!!"

    "That's right!"

Classic, man. Just...classic. Especially the scene where O'Brien is torturing Winston with the teddy bear. And the very last scene, when Winston gets shot.

  • Lmao... i'm completely speechless... I'm not sure whether to laugh or... yeah, there's only laughing. Is Julia played by a GUY? I loved the extra touch of the American flag in the room above Mr. Charrington's shop. Is the part in the torture scene when O'Brien gives Winston the Sienfield DVD supposed to equate Sienfield being torture? I totally agree. Complete brilliance.

  • bowling for soup, 1985 ^^

  • Your not the firsts to think of this. Johnathan Larson (RENT) worked on a musical called Superbia! based on 1984.

  • you are a tool.
