  • is this case worthy of cooling a quad or six core lol i been lloking at them for some time and cant find out much about there cooling also is there any room at the back of the case enough to install fans. was thinking of making my own 2 120mm holes for fans and a water cooling radiator on the outside

  • redo some of your cable management and your set. :P

  • @showrider99 Well this video is a bit old and I already bought new motherboard, cpu, gpu etc etc.

And beside who is watching the other side :)

  • does the door sound as bad as some reviews say it does? would sort of lube or something fix it?

  • @HostileSausage Not really, I haven't notice any bad sound from the door.

  • I've recently ordered this case as it looks nothing short of awesome. Some people have criticized it's lack of a cpu cutout though.. I wonder if it would be that hard to pick up a powerdrill and a dremel and make one neatly? The bevel of where the cutout SHOULD have been is already there...

  • @GydoKamst You mean back of the case where there should be a hole for cpu cooler to mount? If that the case, I think it's possible, you might loose 1 cable management but it's not whole world for exchange that you don't need to take off motherboard every time you install a new cooler.

  • hi, pls help, can i instal the antec h2o 920 cpu cooler on this?!!!!!, mi mobo will be asus sabertooth p67.thanks

  • @MrAdrianPetcu Only problem I had when I install H70 with ASROCK motherboard is that motherboard cooler fans was to high so I had to bend H70 a little bit. I don't know how high Sabertooth is.

This video is old, when I used Asus motherboard.

  • 800d FTW

  • @bradrhoades102840

The 800D is a terrible case.

  • @HDaviator coming from the guy who cant afford it. Every High end PC enthusiast knows 800D is the best and top quality. IDK anyone who has built a 15,000$ pc in any other case besides a 800D. So enlighten me genius, whats the best case since you know everything. HAF X = fail so dont say it.

  • @bradrhoades102840

The only time I would consider getting an 800D would be for water cooling. The air cooling on that case is terrible. But it is a nice looking case I'll give it that. To answer the question, there are many superior cases that are cheaper as well. Bitfenix colossus which is out in the U.K., Fractal Define XL, corsair 600T & my personal favorite, the little devil PC-V8 for water cooling to name a few. There are many better, cheaper cases, don't go with what everyone else gets.

  • @HDaviator 800D is perfectly fine for air cooling. my temps are very low and everything stays cool. I personally love the 800D im not copying anyone. just saying 800D is a high quality case that has many great features.

  • what song is it??

  • This is amazing but I think RAVEN 1's design is better than RAVEN 2. Wink!

  • @aurahead are there cables included in the case to connect the I/O at the top/front of the case to the motherboard?

  • does any dust get through into the case?

do ur parts get dusty after awhile when inside the case?

  • @shalomyo What I know and can see there's dust filter that does the job very well from keeping the dust off. Sure inside every cases always get dusty sooner or later. But I haven't notice much dust inside this case, so no not really =)

  • ok then thanks for reply

  • @shalomyo

Sorry if you have already bought a case, but if you are still thinking about an RV01, yes dust does get in and settle, so you will need to clean the filters every month to month and a half to keep everything spotless. I have a corsair h50 radiator at the top which collects most of the dust in the system, and have to blow it out with compressed air every 2-3 months... but overall considering how much air this case passes through itself, the filters do a superb job.

  • Which direction did you mount the power supply fan. I cant decide if to have it facing up or down

  • @TRCDarkStorm Hm I don't think you can face PSU wrong? I know that my PSU's fan are facing down to suck up air from ground.

  • the design of RV02 is nothing for me too its not my but i uy me next year a pc with the raven 01 for 1168 dollars

  • CAN I PUT Noctua NH-D14 COOLER IN THIS CASE ???

  • @TheHalflife123 That will also fit without prob.

  • @Aurahead good ! this is awesome case

  • @Aurahead So with the motherboard being roated 90 degrees into a vertical position, that would mean the Noctua would be blowing our of the top of case? Sounds like this case complements the Noctua well, I just hope it doesn't buckle under it's own wright as I am about to pick both the cooler and this case up.

  • @TheHalflife123

no problem, i have this case, and the noctua nh-d14 cooler, it works great! but please look at the air flow! the cooler shouldn't work against the case-cooler!

  • CAN I PUT RADEON 5870 IN THIS CASE ????

  • @TheHalflife123 yes you can without any problem.

  • @Aurahead ok thanks to answer

  • how high was the old case in Cm ?

  • i bought this case not long ago and it is absolutely amazing in both looks externally and internally but cooling is amazing and every time i look at it i get this devilish smile across my face. anyways look out for my video showcasing the new build, its in a teardown state at the moment awaiting new parts, QX9770, ASUS Rampage Extreme BLAH BLAH BLAH... But Keep An Eye Out For My Build Video.

  • Your old case is pretty cool too. :) But the Raven is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This case is sexy! it looks modest

  • very nice ;)

  • what song is that?

  • whats cooler this or the HAF?

  • i take a guess this

  • HAF 932 is definittly cooler, if u mean the temperatures;)

  • @FreeYourMind911 no it isnt...

  • @IAreCrazyChris this has waaaay more features but thehaf has waaaay better airflow.. i would go with this

  • yeah i have this case pinned up there with the corsair obsidian. those are the top two in my book atm.

  • Good joob whith video-review!

I like more RV01 than 02, the only problem of this case (for me) it's too big... (And a bite expensive)

  • your proud of 'better specs' ? meaning your proud of having more money than someone else?

show me who can get a better o/c and then eminent sir!

  • I got this Case its awsome.But i got better Spec's in it :)

  • I agree with the comment VV ! I couldnt decide on what case to get, but after watching this, i have decided. ^.^ yeys...

great vid and song, i have some crappy hp default that i 'played with' anyways, i cant wait to buys now ;D

  • You and I now have the same case, we are now brothers XD

  • Check my update video, I added 2x120mm fan.

  • You wont regret it. I went to Lan with some friends and they went nuts screaming like a little girls about how cool the case it :)

  • @Jimbob658 same here i been using the cm690 and saw this and have been thinking about it for nearly 6 months lol

  • haha same but this case cost too much

  • Dude because of your video I just ordered my raven rv01 atx case, I'm going to give my coolermaster scout storm to my little bro. Compusa is sending mine, $203.75 with shipping.

  • Hmm should I get this case or get the cosmos s 1100 and paint the inside black

  • Jesus christ, it's huge.

  • what the name of this song?????

  • sh*t , you got me dancing to the music. see what you did lol XD

  • Nothing wrong with some little dancing :D

  • nice halo 3 looking case

  • that old case is sh*t your new case rocks dude A+++

  • very very nice case ! give 5 for the case

  • oh man this case is the balls - it makes the new raven look like shit!!! and dont even get me started on the antec 902....

  • Hell yea this case rocks!

  • nice. gonna get 1 soonish =D love it. under the hhd cage/rack thingey what could ya put thier? much room or?

  • Under HDD cage there is one 180mm. Under the fan there is lots of space to do whatever you want. And if you have a long PSU it wont be any problem.

  • dude, i wanna buy one as well.

    i think it's so awesome!

but i wanna buy some stickers from the logo to put on the case.

do you know where i can buy some?

btw what is that song ;D i like it !

  • I wonder that myself about stickers, at least Raven stickers hehe. Song is:

I Am Ghost - We Are Always Searching

  • Why compare with midsize case? RV01 already made an overkill. lol

  • i got the same CASE;]is the beest case ever~!!!!!!

  • Not even close...

  • ahaha

    good joke

  • It isn't, it has higher temperatures and a higher sound level, also it doesn't look like a 2020 jet fighter

  • hey dude, i finally got my rig setup, i'll try to do a respond video to yours, and DAMN it looks so awesome

  • Congrats! Hehe I told you it look awesome! ^_^

Hope to see a video of yours soon.

  • about to buy this case along with a ASUS extreme P55 mobo ( pretty cheap ) and a core i5 processor. Im waiting on the new gt300s to come out :) since my new job i can get a decent build going. Definatly this case is the best way to go. it will also last you a while! i doubt it will go out of date.

  • excellent choice in a case, I have one myself, different hardware set up though, I have it pimped out right now with AMD X4 920, Corsair XMS2 3GB with heat spreader, NVidia GTX 275, looking to upgrade to 295, along with 3 hardrives (Seagate Barracuda 3 x 1 TB) and green LED instead of blue. I have the 5 fan system with Asetek Liquid Cooling as well.

I like your set up too, very sick!

  • Thanks your setup seems to be pretty nice to. I am waiting for upgrading to new parts. Was wondering if I7 would be good. 295 looks pretty sick. But I don't know if I should wait for new card instead.

  • wait new generation with DX11 dont buy GTX295

  • whats the first song?

  • This Case is awsome!! i put green led's in the front bar instead of blue.

  • What kind of led did you use?

  • i found them on ebay. got 100 pc for 10 bucks!! Green led 3mm Reverse Current (uA) : <=30 Luminous Intensity Typ Iv (mcd) : Average in 15000 Life Rating : 100,000 Hours Viewing Angle : 20 ~ 25 Degree Absolute Maximum Ratings (Ta=25°C) Max Power Dissipation : 80mw Max Continuous Forward Current : 30mA Max Peak Forward Current : 75mA Reverse Voltage : 5~6V
  • lol..

    nice case thou

  • hahaha same like me...my old casing was CM Centurion 5...then changed to this beast..and all i can say is WOW WOW & WOW...hahaha....

  • I just bought this case for my new I7/GTX 295 rig - should arrive in the next day or so - looking forward to the build. Yours looks cool!

  • You will be like WOW like I did when I first saw it. Damn it is so cool. I just made some modding, adding 2 extra fans. Gonna make an update video later.

I hope you put up a video for your rig. And tell me later how 295 perform. I am thinking buy one.

  • Haha, lolz, mine is coming in tomorrow, also for my Core i7, Asus GTX 295 rig. Using Coolermaster M850 PSU and Asus P6T Deluxe V2 MB. Great combo!

  • Got all the parts yesterday apart from the CASE!!! They said it'd take longer to come because it's too big to post. The rig will be: i7 920, PT6, 6GB Corsair 1600, WD 1TB HDD, Galaxy GTX295, Gigabyte Odin 800W. The video card weighs about 2KG! I've not even put it in the machine and I'm impressed! I'm going to do a vid, of the whole build I think. Do you think it would be possible to put a red LED in the front of the case rather than the blue?

  • What is the first song playing?

  • I Am Ghost - We Are Always Searching

  • December,25,2009 i get to build mine with this case man i cant wait

  • you should get it now on newegg, its like $80 off atm. same deal i got a while ago. it doesnt happen too often.

  • I got this Case Its really awsome, but you did a crappy Job on the wireing, that case looks so awsome if you did a better job, your CPU coolder is way over sized. its blocking of the view inside.

  • Crappy job? Lolz I have all cable at the backside so there is no cable inside it now. I just re arrange it yesterday. My CPU is fine and it doesn't block anything. I couldn't care more or less about looking inside. It cool my cpu very well as long it does I am happy.

  • hows the air flow in there, does it get hot?

  • Actually better then I though. Have been trying almost a week now and all I can say is air flow is really really good. Reduce my 9800GX2 from 68c idle to 57c idle. Load around 80c. CPU is around 44c idle and load around 57c.

    Asus P5W DH Deluxe

    E8400 @ 3.6GHz

    MSI 9800GX2

    Nvidia SLI DDR2 4GB

    Corsair 620W

  • hmm it still seems a little high for me. i'v seen people adding 2 120mm fans on the grill above the psu and i heard that works really well. just doing some more research before im getting the same case lol.

    my setup will be:

    ASUS P6T Deluxe V2

    Core i7 920(OC)

    3X Corsair DDR3 2000 mhz Dominator GT (6GB) w/fan

    EVGA Nvidia GTX285 FTW 2GB

    1000W Corsair psu.

Zalman 9900 Blue LED CPU cooler

    WesterDigital Caviar Black 1TB 7200rpm

and of course the raven rv01 case

  • For me it is low because my last case gave me 70c idle on 9800GX2. And we all know that 9800GX2 run hot. But now it stay on 57c idle.

And my CPU is kinda overclock and motherboard is not that good anymore and was idle around 50c before.

Wow can one more 120mm be adding? That would be awesome, where did you read that? And any tutorial?

  • you can add two 120mm fans on the grill right above the power supply unit to increase air flow, which should cool your case by at least another 5 degrees, you will create negative pressure in the case and you will feel air being sucked in if you put your hand on the filter. i saw this on newegg when someone did a video review, pretty kool specially if you get LED fans, but i do suggest getting the cooler master LED since they are quiet and move a lot of air.

  • Wow that is nice to hear. You mean 120mm fans under the 180mm fans? So it will suck air under and up? I have a fans on my CPU heatsink that help and suck air out.

  • no not under, it would be right above the 180mm pushing air upward. your heatsink fan should also be pushing the air up, then you will be able to get more air flow. also if you havnt done this yet, make sure your case is clean, aka spend sometime to work on cable management, this will also increase air flow. same with all your wires going out the top-n-back. with all of the above, you should be able to get the case down to around 30-40ish

  • Hm a little confuse where that extra 120mm should be. Yea I made it clean inside the case clean from all cable. I drag them behind the case where it suppose to be.
