Bob Barr and Ron Paul have my support in 2012, until then I hope everyone who wants to make a difference works together to tear down the Commission on Presidential Debates. The CPD is a bipartisan effort to destroy what is left of Americas democracy and it's doing a damn good job at it so far. What's needed is a fair, balanced, NON-partisan way of managing the debates & electoral process.
ron paul '12. he'll take votes from republicans AND democrats. and his record is spotless. i would be happy with barr, baldwin, or almost any non-socialist independent, but ron paul is my next president.
It's not too late to vote for Libertarian Bob Barr for President of the United States!!! So, if you want smaller government, lower taxes, more freedom, rule by constitutional law, a 3rd political party in power, and 'utmost competency' in President... vote for Bob Barr on Tuesday November 4th!!!!!
I live in NY state so its safe bet as a Republican, my vote for Barr will be more significant than a vote for McCain.
I just hope that after the election, my vote will register as one of many dis-affected Republicans jumping to the Libertarian ticket. McCain lost this election the minute his new beauty queen opened her high end mouth, and whored for the hillary votes.
I'd prefer to vote Ron Paul, but seeing as Bob Barr is actually on the ballot, I am going to go ahead and vote for him. He is the best choice we have right now in this country. It's not throwing your vote away to show what a large percentage of the country Libertarians really are. In fact it is throwing your vote away if you vote for the lesser of two evils instead of your heart. No on Prop 8 and 102, and yes for Bob Barr. Even if he does speak about himself in third person.
He only points out the flaws of McCain and Obama. He never once says what he would do to fix them. If he wants more voters, he should say what he would do to fix the problems that mccain or Obama arn't fixing.
good one I bet it took you all day to use the most retarded comment un original comment to date. our votes obv dont count so atleast vote a third party and send a message ....... just choose which third party u want.. because those are the true red white and blue choices.... so atleast on the popular vote they can compare all of the third party votes to the republicrats .......... BOOYEAH
Barr is the only candidate that has the right to use the word "change" in their campaign. If you want the country to return to the constitution and the Republic it once was...Vote Libertarian!
Chuck Baldwin is nothing more than a religious zealot. An Atheist like Myself just CAN'T Vote for a Man that claims that this Country was founded on Christian Morals. I don't care if Doctor Paul Endorsed him, hell, Jenna Jameson could have Endorsed this Religious zealot and I still wouldn't have voted for him anyway. I'm a Ron Paul Supporter but like I've said, an ATHEIST like Myself just CAN'T Vote for a Religious Christian zealot like Chuck Baldwin. Atheist have no place in his Administration.
Not like Baldwin would have any possible chance of winning. He seems like he has that "Patrick Henry" philosophy, where he believes strongly in liberty but isn't too fond of the separation between church and state.
I'm rockin the vote for Barr. The "dimes worth of difference" is ironic, because if the bailouts continue, inflation will be so rapid that we won't even remember what a dime is after a few years. It was already 10-15%, and with the new measures in place, it's estimated at 30%.
I'm not an atheist but I can't vote for Chuck Baldwin either because I have a serious problem with imposing one's religious morality through politics.
Don't forget.. Dr. Ron Paul has endorsed Chuck Baldwin.. and Paul is an ex independent.. something fishy here or what.. go with Ron Paul's decision.. there is your direction..
Corporations Don't Vote! (Instead they buy public opinion) they use TV media to wage a war on your mind! With silliness like: 'Change','Hope','Country First','Maverick' They take us for FOOLS!
Ever 4 years majority of voteres are falling for it , again and again... WHAT would it take for us to WAKE UP and see that between Corporate Democrats and Corporate Republicans there NO DIFFERENCE?
A WAR? 2 WARS? A Recession? A Depression? A depletion of our resources? WHAT would it take???
And now we are going to spend $5 billion dollars to bail-out the auto industry. Which has dragged it's feet for 5 years to innovate, not offering Americans cars they want. They are unwilling to compete in a free-market economy and we have to bail them out?
If we bail out incompetent bankers we should bail out incompetent auto makers? Then K-mart and Bennigans and Sears? Why aren't we bailing out Walmart or Toyota or Bank of America or Microsoft?
Don't you find it sad? The main problem lies not with the libertarian philosophy, but with the media; their obvious bias continues towards the corrupt two-party system. There is no way in hell Obama and McCain would want Barr in the debates with them. Pretty pathetic if you ask me, but then people would see their true colors.
Smaller government. You ain't gettin that with McCain and Obama. Regardless of how many votes Barr will get, he's getting mine because he's the best candidate for the job!
The obstinate two-party system has failed America. We need a president like Bob Barr to restore our government back to the constitutional principles set forth by the founding fathers which McCain and Obama do not respect: small government, less taxes, less spending, pro-civil liberties, etc.
I am proud to say that Bob Barr will be getting my vote!
Conservatives:vote for Barr, not MCain. McCain is pro-war,pro big govnmt, waffles, and may be brain damaged. He believes in open borders to all illegals. Read AN ENORMOUS CRIME-coverup of 268 MIAs currently in Vietnam that McCain has turned his back on.McCain is pro embryonic stem cell research and was a big part of S&L crisis. McCain will continue at least 4 more years of Bush Policies.Bob Barr is positive and worth your vote.
Should anyone follow anyone? People who dont vote for a third party dont follow, they lead. They reject the dual party bull that we've been forced to swallow for decades. I dont buy into the lesser of two evils garbage. Dont vote for a person for THEIR ideals fote for YOURS.
Congressman Barr is right. Even though I support McCain over Obama, I'm getting tired of McCain's big government policies, especially his support for the $700 billion bailout that's, well, failed. Both Obama and McCain are starting to look alike everyday: They won't address illegal immigration, they both support the carbon tax, and the list goes on.
Beside winning The White House, Libertarian Bob Barr is running for U.S. President for these reasons. He's a patriot! He's the 'leader' of the nation's third largest political party! As he wants to promote his party's belief in smaller government, lower taxes and more freedom, a Presidential election season is an opportune time to do this! In a nation that believes in freedom of choice, he wants American voters to have an additional option to vote for! Vote for a 'real winner' in Bob Barr!!!
Once again, Bob Barr is right on the money, especially with the "dime's worth of difference" argument. The major parties aren't worth my two cents. How can McCain rally against earmarks when he voted for them in the bailouts? How can Obama provide hope for the everyday citizen when he subsidizes the wealthy? They're birds of the same feather.
The country needs a libertarian presidency now more than ever, someone who respects citizens' earnings and lifestyles. Go Barr!
Not only do we need a libertarian president but more importantly we need a libertarian congress. Right now the GOP is in the midst of a civil war and I think the LP should take advantage of it and hijack the GOP.
vote bob barr...if we all do...you know - he might win..it's not likely..and you know its not the peopels fault, they just arent informed by the media....they are told that libertatrianism is like a mega-conservative but thats not what it is...if the media would firggin take a LOOK at barr then i think he might gt a pretty large % of the vote.
If we can get his name out there more and get him over 5% voting well then in 2012 he will be on all the states ballots. So instaid of him spending time and money to get on the ballots on all the states he could just focus on getting his name out the general public!!!
I told his people to focus all of their efforts into 1 state, Michigan. All he'll have to do is tie Barack Obama and John McCain to Jennifer Granholm and people would vote for him enmass. The reason why nobody's voting for Barr is because nobody knows who he is. I think he should confront Barack Obama at one of his rallies. (bigger audience and would make for a bigger news story.)
He either might get a huge % of the vote or the liberal media like CNN and MSNBC might throw us under the bus once they find out we're more fiscally conservative than republicans.
America's solution... Libertarian Presidential candidate Bob Barr believes in 'reducing' federal government spending!!! The National Taxpayers Union released a report on September 25th. It analyzes each of the three leading Presidential candidates in their 'first year' federal budget spending proposals if elected. Barack Obama would 'add' $292,954,000,000 to annual spending! John McCain would 'add' $92,437,000,000 to it! Bob Barr would 'cut' $200,928,000,000 from it!!!
As far as I know, Barr isn't part of the CFR, a group interested in world conquest it seems. Both Obama and McCain(I think?) are CFR members.
Senator Mcbama for the NAU and the NWO!
I'm for Barr as long as he's not going to violate any constitutional amendments, however Obama and McCain have by approving wiring taping and S 1959 (internet censorship)
I would like if Barr brought more attention to how HUGE government WILL be with an Obama presidency. Sure, it's bound to get bigger no matter what (unless Barr is elected) but Obama will absolutely ravage this country. He subcribes to school of thought that, when you break it all down, hates this country. His father figures were communists, black supremicists, boss politicians, radicals, and terrorists. Told try and tell anyone that his own philosophy wasn't shaped by their's.
McCain is not different than Obama on the spending. Most people forget that McCain's "tax and spend" program is slated to take place over Tehran. Same tax and spend message from McBama just a diffrence bunch of idiots getting the spoils.
I don't think anyone can deny that an Obama presideny will make government bigger than McCain would. But it will get bigger no matter what unless Barr is elected. I just want this election to get over with so we can elect Barr or Ron Paul in 2012.
Mr. Barr, I am a registered libertarian casting a 'protest vote' for Nader because his primary focus is bringing to light the coorporate BS in elections. You could have taken the lead on this front with the NRA snub, I waited as long as I could.
I think that the bailouts (both already done and to be proposed) are the biggest fraud in world history. When the US Dollar collapses, the corrupt fatcats will have their comfortable, secure nests set up.
They figure they get more votes because they look like they care for the economy and the people. Sure they probly care but they don't have any clue on how the economy works, or how much the government should keeps it nose out of the economy.
Palin is a big Ron Paul admirer. Maybe she can drag the Republican party kicking and screaming towards Libertarianism in 2012. Regardless, I'm voting for Barr. Let's face it: McCain is a big government anti-private property rights statist. And he's the top of the ticket. The American voter might just be better off with a good spanking of Obama for 4 years. That will tee up Sarah's campaign beautifully for 2012. Thanks for your true straight talk Bob.
I saw a Youtube video of her during the primaries saying that she admires Ron Paul the most among the Republican candidates. She mentioned about how Paul had bucked the party machine just like her.
What the hell?? Palin and Ron Paul. You gotta be kidding me. Palin is not for personal freedoms at all. In Alaska she constantly voted to make marijuana illegal again, she raised taxes and fired people out of personal reasons. That's a far fetch from Ron Paul the defender of the Constitution, it's offensive to even put them in the same sentence together.
Palin would admire Jesse Jackson if we could her dumb in the VP. How can she admire RP if she can't even explain the role of the VP under the Constitution? I think reading the Constitutin first the first step in admiring RP.
Well I think Obama is in hot pursuit towards socialism. Still to me, it's like if you want to burn to death in 2 years vote Obama. If you want to burn to death in 4 years vote McCain. Either way you will burn. That's how I see it. I could be wrong but whatever. I hope Barr is still on the ballot on election day in Richmond VA. I'm worried because my city have this amazing ability to mess up things.

McCain is a pretty liberal dude, if only we didn't have the flawed two party system we do and Barr could be president. McCain obviously loves his country though, that is more than we can say for Obama. I just want Bob to start giving Obama a hard time instead of McCain. He will be a "racist" if he did, but all this McCain bashing isn't good for America. Maybe Barr will have a chance though. If the courts ever force Obama to show his birth certificate, the Dems might have to drop out all together
Obama is going to take your dime. McCain is also going to take a nickel to fund a war in Afghanistan so the US can have a base in the Middle East because we have failed at making on in Iraq.
And McCain says he is against earmarking and porkbarreling. Yet the bailout bill went from 3 pages long after it was voted down in the House, to more than 400 pages after it passed the Senate. Where was McCain on that one?
It is time for a change and an end to government bailouts. Barr/Root '08!
Oh, and by the way....

They said that if the Bailout didn't pass, the economy was going to crash and fail.
So we bailed 'em out.
And the economy crashed and failed.
Shouldn't we've gotten a little more "bang-for-our-buck?"
We move further in to debt with NOTHING to show for it.
Face it, Bob Barr was right!
Stop the Bailouts, Vote Bob Barr!

Bailouts are not for the little people!

INDEED!
All they're doing is lining their own pockets as much as they can. This isn't just bad policy, this is THEFT FROM AMERICAN'S POCKETS!

They figure they get more votes because they look like they care for the economy and the people. Sure they probly care but they don't have any clue on how the economy works, or how much the government should keeps it nose out of the economy.

I should buy up as many houses as I can run up a huge debt and get bailed out

Palin is a big Ron Paul admirer. Maybe she can drag the Republican party kicking and screaming towards Libertarianism in 2012. Regardless, I'm voting for Barr. Let's face it: McCain is a big government anti-private property rights statist. And he's the top of the ticket. The American voter might just be better off with a good spanking of Obama for 4 years. That will tee up Sarah's campaign beautifully for 2012. Thanks for your true straight talk Bob.

"Palin is a big Ron Paul admirer." What makes you say that? I hope it's true but I have my doubts.

i wish that was true

I saw a Youtube video of her during the primaries saying that she admires Ron Paul the most among the Republican candidates. She mentioned about how Paul had bucked the party machine just like her.

Good to hear.

Let's be honest. McCain is better than Obama, he is no solution, but he doesn't seem to want socialism like Obama.

McCain is Socialist and does not seem to notice.
Both espouse big government. Both worthless.
JAYBLEVINSdotCOM 3 years ago 6

Stop watching fox news and avoid Palin rallies.

Lol.
The Republicans in past history have done more to make the larger government than the Dems.

In recent history with Bush... other than that, I just don't think so.

I guess we can ignore Ronald Reagan's deficit busters and Oh! Nixon's trashing of the last bit of the gold standard we had.
stupidutoobname 3 years ago
FDR destroyed the gold standard actually. Reagan shrank overall government involvement and ended the Cold War.

Obama is going to take your dime. McCain is also going to take a nickel to fund a war in Afghanistan so the US can have a base in the Middle East because we have failed at making on in Iraq.
LibbyViddy 3 years ago
And McCain says he is against earmarking and porkbarreling. Yet the bailout bill went from 3 pages long after it was voted down in the House, to more than 400 pages after it passed the Senate. Where was McCain on that one?
It is time for a change and an end to government bailouts. Barr/Root '08!
