And stop arguing about who's better and shit like that, we're here for tennis, not a fucking debate. And for the idiot who thinks two-handers have difficulty with slices, please read a book or go take some tennis lessons. One hander or two, that doesn't really affect how good your slice is. All you guys, please just respect the sport and the players in it. Stop putting down top players cause you favor other ones more
@syncroneyes Very good point.Agree with you.The problem is that there are too many biased fanatic fans.I saw many Roger fanatics who just excuse everytime he lost a match and saying he wasn't trying,he should have won and so on.My point is that Fed is the GOAT and that he got to be respected cuz of the things he did for tennis. But telling how Rafa and Nole are minnows compared to Fed is also disrespectful. They might be not as good as Fed,but come on,there are also great players.
Every person commenting on this match is a fucking Fed hater. You guys show him so much disrespect and talk so bad about him. Nole and rafa still have shit tons of respect for Fed, so for you to be talking fucking trash about arguably the greatest player to play this sport, that's really fucking ignorant and stupid. I'm not biased towards Federer, but I'm just tired of people talking shit about him cause they favor Novak and Rafa, it's annoying as shit. Watch the fucking match
I'm getting tired of all those Fed fanatics who can't accept that Fed isn't the best anymore.Look,Fed at his prime at the age of 26 lost to 20 years old post prime Nole.18 years old baby Nole took away one set from Federer winning clearly 6-2 in a best of three match and losing tight in three sets in their first meeting while Federer was clearly at his prime being 24 years old.26 years old Fed struggled against 20 years old Nole in UO in 2007 saving 5 set points in the 1st set and two in the 2nd
@serbianpupil Dude. Djokovic only started to beat Federer when he turns 30. Every yr before that is losing H2H to him. Not fair to conclude he is a superior player 'cause fedex is still playing at 30 to let rival fans come out with this assumption.
@randykarmakum For your information.Nole only won 1 match after Fed turned 30.Before he turned 30,Nole won 9 matches.Look at your comment,it's just very biased and subjectiv cuz you're simply a Fed fellow guy.Their rivalry is regarded as one of the best in the Open Era cuz of their even rivalry and results throughout their meetings.Only reason why Fed leads is cuz he won 4 times in a row against Nole when he was still a teenie and Fed at his prime.I mean you're just clueless and single minded.
if federer is 24 now,i think he would be djokovic's kryptonite. Those slice federer hit to his backhand is the key shot.It makes djokovic overhit and try to be too agressive. If you watch Lleyton Hewitt back in 01-04,he played kinda like djokovic but federer owned hewitt simply because
1.Hewitt dint have many weapons,so instead of trying to outhit him, federer made hewitt outhit himself by hitting low slices to his backhand,
2.Hewitt couldnt volley crap that plus short angled slice=gg
@PurpleHeater how so??what i said are facts,a two handed backhand struggles with a low short slice, one has to bend his knees, its even worse if the slice is sharply angled and leaves you in "no-man's land" where u have to approach the net of a two hander which is hard to do.
Oh and try playing tennis a little before you come here spewing out your garbage.Everyone who plays tennis with a 2 hander knows its weaknesses and strengths.
@PurpleHeater how so???have you actually played tennis?i dont think you do,because anyone who plays tennis with a two hander knows how hard it is to hit a slice, let alone a short angled slice,i can explain all day to you why it is so hard to hit a slice with a two hander but that will only make your brain explode from too much info.Try playing some tennis next time okay?dont waste your life at home.
@KaminariKatta I agree. Djokovic improved very much is the reason of him working on fitness and switching his game to defense thus reducing risky shots. He used to play over aggressive and make errors. His backhand is flat so naturally will not dare to risk hitting the net when receiving a slice, coupled with his defensive mentality today is going to hit safely and give Federer insurance to counter. Same reason that Murray who slice well gives him problems.
Federer is a better player...thats a simple truth...more complete one for sure...a perfect product of tennis engeneering so to say..nole is great..but technically inferior...nadal more so...the two latter force their tennis, Fed lives it...its just a question of physical vs gifted..and i mean truly tennis gifted
Well, I think this was very tough loss for Roger. Probablly, the second toughtest loss after wimbledon final 2008 for cope with. two match points with serve, two years in a row. Mentally, very very tough. But he bounced back very good on indoor season.
Wilander, Borg, McEnroe and many others told that just to mention three of them cuz it would take too long to name them all. I actually don't care where you get your informations from, I just say you're too passion Federer fanatic and to single minded and subjectiv!
Washed up mono stories can only be told by Federer fanatics. It's pretty much clear that he lost because he was the weaker player. Djokovic fans don't talk about his breath problems and glooten alergic. They don't mention it cuz they're trying to be reasonable. Some Fed fanatics won't learn it. Nadal has now better chances to win against Djokovic since he's playing the next slam on his favorite court clay. Even Djokovic has to play better than ever before to beat him on his strongest court!
When was I not giving Djokovic credit for his performance in the AO2008? He played the best match of his life up to that point, but it was very clear that Roger was not healthy. He was sweating like a pig and he never sweats on court.
@DiastoleSystole I think this era is by far stronger than Federer's era back in the days. Much more competition. That's why I would preferer Djokovic's 2011 than Fed's 2006. Quantity isn't quality, Federer had a great season, no doubt. He showed quality, but in terms that Djokovic had to face the best players of these days it is surely much tougher than it was then. Even Borg, McEnroe, Wilander and many other experts admitt this and that's why they say Djokovic's season was the best ever.
@serbianpupil How is there more competition in this era? The top 4 is better than it's ever been right now but the rest of the field isn't exactly leaps and bounds ahead of the field that we saw from 2003-2007.
@DiastoleSystole But one thing I'm gonna ask you now. What's wrong with admitting right off the bat that you're a Federer fan? There is nothing wrong with that and I knew even before when I wrote you.Wether you're a Fed,Nadal or Djokovic fanboy, you always have to be objectiv. For me for example Federer is the GOAT.But as the best single season I would preferer Djokovic's season in 2011 cuz I'm relying on experts.I'm not subjectiv like 3timeMVPNash who would say Fed's season in 2006.
@serbianpupil What "experts" are you relying on? It is completely debateable if Djokovic's 2011 season was the greatest ever, or if it was another year (Fed 2006, JMac 1984, whatever). Jesus Christ you always assume that I form my opinions out of blind passion as being a Federer fan, well newsflash, I don't.
@3timeMVPNash Considering that you come up with some stupid mono stories and excusing everytime when Federer lose, I have to ask you something. Where do you get your informations from? You said cuz of that mono silly shit excuse Djokovic couldn't win a match against Fererer for two years until 2010 in US Open after all this. But he won 3 times against Federer in 2009. My god, don't know where you get your informations from.
@serbianpupil I said he couldn't beat Fed in a Slam between that time period, and in fact he did nothing of real note at the Slams between that time as well. Yes Fed lost three times to Nole in 2009 but he also beat him twice. Between AO2008 and AO2011 the H2H was 8-5 Fed.
@serbianpupil And overall its 14-10. We don't really have to go over this - they have had a very even rivalry since the beginning. Nole has upped his game whereas before he couldn't get through Fed and Nadal, and full credit to him for that.
@3timeMVPNash Even baby 18 years old pre-prime Djokovic took away a set from prime Federer in 2006 in their first meeting and won the set 6-2. They're rivaly is even. He used to beat him 4 times when he was at his prime and the pre-prime Djokovic a teenager, but since Djokovic became 20 years old, they're equal 10:10. The longer Federer plays, the more he will lose!
@serbianpupil Cut him some slack he is like 31 soon lol. Haters always hate. Success is measured by number of slams, let wait for Djokovic to get 16 slams first then discuss. Remember Federer won in 2 generations to get 16, 4 in Nadal/djoker's era.
@youziness HahaXD.I should have said he's the best, with the best forehand, backhand, net game, top spin, drop balls, baseline game, volley just everything.LOL XD I'm from Switzerland,I'm Serbian Swiss.I CANNOT HATE FEDERER.I respect him as much as I respect the other players when it comes to tennis.I even met him personally and talked to him and saw his mansion. You're so biased,so single minded.Omg,I've never seen such rude, unsportsmanlike fans like Fed fanboys. There is not only Fed who plays tennis.
@serbianpupil me fed fanboy? Haha. Baseless assumptions. I already told u i am neutral. Didnt know u are swiss, serbians are normally haters though just because they felt like victims after the war. From what i've seen Serbian fanboys are more rude than Fed fanboys.
@youziness You're pro Federer, you come across like this in your comments.Well, this vid isn't about politics,so I don't want to talk about an off topic.Since you're clueless respectively don't know anything about the wars, every word I wrote with you about this is wasted But that's not the topic.I'm Serbian Swiss,I've never insulted Fed in any vid.Why should I?I think the Serbs from Serbia(I'm from Switzerland)are agressive against Western people, but can talk in a normal way if someone is friendly
@serbianpupil I just feel he is better and i don't worship him. You are clearly fanatic djoko fan flooding every video. You said baby djokovic at 20 is equal and Fed era are mugs. However i don't see Djokovic winning those mugs at 20, even lost to safin and roddick in slams and failed to challenge Federer. Contradicting. Baby djokovic at 18 took a set but how about old federer beat him and took many sets, and likely will win a few meetings in 2012 and 2013.
@youziness I'm not a fanatic.I'm an ordinary fan.Why did I say this?Lol,just because I'm tired of Fed fanatics saying imagine if Fed was at his prime right now. He's game actually isn't that much worse
@serbianpupil Today he take many shortcuts by trying to play short points in slower surfaces which is like trolling tennis, different from his prime. Trying to hit approach shots and go net in this conditions without advantage in rallies to end pts. Even if he did so only the top can punish him. The much worse is only evident if he play top 10 players. He has schooled these kids for ages, revenge when he is old is normal. Thats the price to pay for staying in power for so long.
@youziness Sounds very biased, lol. XD The top guys like Rafa, Nole and Andy where always good competitors in Fed's career, whether he was at his prime or not.
@youziness Where did I say baby Djoko is equal to prime Fed?Lol,I said they had an equal rivalry throughout their meetings.Fed will probably lose more than win against Nole in the following meetings.
@3timeMVPNash Nole h2h in 2011 against Fed is 5:1! What does this say? Not beaten him in any slam? Only faced two times out of 8 in two years!Djokovic's competition: 10 majors winner Nadal, 16 majors Fed, Murray who plays very well, just struggles mentally, Tsonga, Ferrer, Berdych, Söderling,Del Potro all good players compared with Fed's era: Overrated Roddick(1 major),post prime Hewitt(2 majors), inconstant Safin(2 majors), 34-35 years old post prime Agassi, inferior Gonzalez and Bagdhatis.
@DiastoleSystole yes, but thats not the main reason for him losing, like his fans make it look like. he was still moving well on the court and played overal a very good match. back on pint, I also like when djokovic plays attacking tennis more with flatter shots, but this way he makes less errors and is more effective like u said. though he can still fire flat shots when needed. back then he had to be more aggressive cause he didnt have enough stamina for long rallies, now he can balance it out
@DiastoleSystole well I thinkdjokovic is one player who is not bothered wih that. he lost so many close matches against federer and nadal, but he rose above it and started beating them regularly. on the other hand federer got depressed after losing close matches on clay, and soon he started losing everywhere. the other also really tough player is del potro. he is not himself lately because of injury ofc, but mentally speaking he is right there with him
indeed, that was a pretty close match and could have gone either way. federer has always been struggling against nadal even on his best surface. it has a lot to do with macth up. nadals heavy topspin forhends bothers federers 1h backhend a lot and forces him to a lot of unforced errors. djokovic is not bothered by that and can defend aswell as him, that forces nadal to go out of his comfort zone and attack him, which he doesnt do aswell
u started first with the insults, I dont like using them unless Im offended. and again Im asking u why is nadal struggling mentally against him? did he struggle at 2010 us open? one must be very ignorant not to realise that its is a natural consequnce of him losing so many matches last year, ESPECIALLY those on clay. djokovic beating nadal on clay confrotambly is what turned aorund that rivalry and made nadal insecure against him.
my point here is that faderer still CAN play at the level of 2006, just cant do it consistently. consestincey is what separate top players from the others, ability to produce your best in every match, not just from time to time. faderer can play his best for a tournament, but not for a season. now when he plays hes best match, theres no way in hell he loses to anyone in 2006. today he did that at us open and lost. wimbledon 2008 aswell. australian open 2011 was also a great match by him
so the only player nadal is insecure against is djokovic. on the other hand, faderer choked on so many big occasions against various players that I cant even count them. he surely doesnt have a complex of djokovic, yet he choked 2 times against him. not to mention him constantly losing 5 setters on biggest events. nadal has a 15-3 record in five set matches and lost only two matches after winning first set on grand slam. how is that a menatally weak player u degenerated amoeba
not really. players like del potro and tsnoga can beat him on any given day when they play their best, nalbandian still beat him in 2005 btw. what is considered to be his second best year. prime djokovic can surely beat federer when he plays his best. in 2207 djokovic as a teenager choked away 5 set points in his first grand slam final against prime federer. then proceeded to beat him 3 months later at ao.
@Killuminati1996 Fed had an ankle injury in TMC2005 and still came back from 4-0 down in the 5th and barely lost. Delpo and Tsonga are always dangerous, but Fed has proven that he can beat both of them (esp Tsonga at the end of last year).
I could follow your logic and say djokovic was losing to federer and nadal because he had allergy to gluten and couldnt last in long matches, it also manifested with his breathing problems and forced to retire a few times. see how stupid is that? at the end of the day if u are fit anough to go out on the court and play, u have no rights to look for an excuse if u lose
I dont know what u mean by that, but if u are reffering to their last meeting and the return winner by djokovic on the match point then u clearly doesnt know anything about tennis. By lucky shot can only be considered the one when u hit the net cord and the ball rolls down into opponent's field, or when u hit a mooball which falls on the line, or any shot u clearly had NO CONTROL while hitting it. Every winner requires A LOT of control, power and precision, especially a return winner.
@Killuminati1996 And at the AO2008, Fed was in the prime of his mono which clearly affected him. After that Djoko couldn't really beat him until the USO2010.
those stories about mono are really washed up and blown out of proportion. look, the person with mono cant even stand for long time, let alont play tennis. it goes with high temperature and feaver and it requires rest. federer was clearly fit enough by then and it didnt affect him. IM tired of these ignorant fans always searching for excuses when he loses, sickness injury blah, blah, thats bulshit, ur idol is not a god and he can lose a match too. get back to earth
@Killuminati1996 it isnt actually claimed that he played the AO in 08 in the acute phase of mono, but he was bedridden 2 weeks prior. hence his pulling out of kooyong. yes he was clearly fit enough to play the tournament but he wasn't 100%. i see your "dont let the truth get in the way of sportsmanship" point made frequently but its overly romantic to think every tennis match is determined purely by "being the better man". federer is indeed far from a god, athletes get sick too.
Many of his fans DO claim sickness as a MAJOR reason for his loss, hence my earlier comment. Surely not always the best player wins the match, otherwise number 1 seed would win every tournament, but the player who wins is clearly better on that day, for one reason or another. Tennis is quite simple in that department, the guy who plays better on the day wins the match, thus theres no place for excuses.
@Killuminati1996 since he was bed ridden less than a month before the tournament id say 100% health is a more provocative claim than sickness. anyway its interesting you think tennis makes it simple to know who played better. i think the scoring system in tennis in particular obfuscates this. its heavily about 'big' points. hang on and win those and you can survive an opponent playing better overall. federer lost the 09 final after winning most of the points.
@Killuminati1996 Decent argument, something I totally agree on. I'm a HUGE federer fan. I wish he would come back to the game but yeah, people need to stop making excuses every chance they get. Each player always has something wrong sometime during the year, it's if they get through it that we consider them a champion or not. Life's tough, but the players are tougher.
@3timeMVPNash Very stupid excuse.Federer himself admitted and said he wasn't affected, but on the other hand, like Killuminati1996 said.I could follow you're logic and say Djokovic had breath problems which is true and he had even to operate his nose wings to open his airways. That's why he didn't have the stanima to play long ralliesHe was also allergic on gluten food and this really affected him back in the days and he only lost cuz of that and we see how is it like in 2011 where he lead 11-1.
@3timeMVPNash You see how stupid this is. Be more objectiv, Federer lost because he was the weaker player that day. It often depends how the form of the player is on the day, so Federer can also lose, too. He's not a god, he's a human being like everyone else. He can also lose and it's called being human when losing matches. So it's so silly that you're trying to excuse this.
@DiastoleSystole Fed was playing some of his best tennis at the end of last year, especially in Paris. And all that aside, what is he going to do, say that he is over the hill and make himself a target? The bottom line is that when Federer is on he is still capable of extraordinary things.
again when being totally dismantled and owned by facts, u are resorting back to insults. how pathetic. fagerror hasnt beat nadal on a grand slams since 2007, and the only place he actually ever beat him is at his homeyard, wimbledon. its has nothing to do with nadal losing to djokovic. novak has developed to become superior player to both of them, and if u say nadal is shaky against him, theres a reason for that. djokovic OUTPLAYED him everytime they played and made him feel shaky as he is
where limits of human body are constantly raised. the difference between him now and 2006 beyond the competition, is that he still can play a match or even a tournament on that level, as he showed at RG and us open, but cant play whole season that way. still he plays his best on grandslams, and if it wasnt for nadal and djokovic he would still be winning them. but tha fact that other players like tsonga and del potro can also challenge him on slams show how tought todays competition is
u just confirmed my point even further. first of all I never said he sucks, just that hes overrated. faderer winning at RG shows he can still beat top players. why? because he can still play at the top level, just cant be as consistent due to competition, and partially his age. faderer actually IMPROVED from his heydays, and he himself admitted it. his match against djokovic was probably the best he ever played on clay. 30 years is not that old in professional sports especially these days.
muray is not mentally tough but still loses only to top 3 at slams which shows he is consistent. in faderers era he would have much less competition and would be able to win slams. faderer is also mentally weak, he shows that in every big match, so this is another proof. he could win back then as he had no real pretender who could challenge him on EVERY slams. roddick who is joke of a player was in 3 wimbledon finals against fim and barely lost
haha idiot u are so retarded its not even funny. u are talking about player who won 10 slams and is considered to be amongst the toughest mentally, nadal, to be weak and melt down? u are fuckin idiot who deserve to be shot. nadal won so many matches because of his mental and physical toughness, outlasting faderer so many times because of that. he loses ONLY against djokovic because hes being outclassed and he cant do nothing about it.
I dont give a fuck what atp says, but there is a one thing called common sense and it tells that a match with so many quality strokes and dramatic turnarounds simply cant not to be great. atp surely promotes nadal, faderer or even muray more then djokovic cause they have more fans, but still the fact that match was declared number 1 despite faderer losing must mean something. I follow tennis for 20 years which about as double ur age so think before u say some shit dum ignorant imbecile
I do not even like djokovic as much as I hate fagerror and his ignorant fangays. apparently u are trying to hide that u are one of them as u are being heavily overwhelmed by the facts u cant oppose. by calling me gay, its more then obvious that u also try to hide ur own sexual frustration and obsession for fagerror, as u are uncomfortable to publicly admit it.
why would u attack me then faggot, when I assault his fans only and theres a reason for that. I do not try to dispute his accompishments, but his attitude and ignorance of his fans, who believe that no one else comes even close to him is what really annoys me as it cant be further from the truth. he does have most trophies but anyone with half brain could see that competition iis much harder today, and the game itself has become more physical due to slower surfaces and racquet technology
just because nadal and some other players perhaps play that way it doesnt mean its a trend moron. there are hard hitter like tsonga and delpotro, serve and voley is obsolate, there are players like lodra, stepanek but how successful are they today? in 90's u could win slams that way, now u must have complete game. I never said sampras was a joke fuckin idiot, he had good strokes, but played a lot of sv as it was effective, today he would have to adjust cause he would get passed most of the time
fagerror era was a joke because he was the only consistent player of his generation. others wre just like females today. how many players were consistently reaching semis and finals of slams when he was at the top? it made a job a lot easier for him. the fact that novak is dominating now with other top 3 breathing behind his neck and forcing him to beat them at every tournament in order to win is astonishing. also not to mention other dangerous players, big servers, hitters who can beat anyone
bullshit. most commentators are against novak supporting other players. this is the most competeitive era and just about every expert will tell u that. why? top players are consistantly reaching semifinals and finals of the biggest events. are u saying that female tennis is competitive because anyone can win a slam? u are just retarded. thats called consistency or the lack of it. the top players are more consistent then ever in the ,male tennis.
haha another butthurt fagerror fangay. the most degenerated imbeciles on this planet support the most overrated piece of shit ever, how appropriate. but even amongst those lowest forms of life u managed to stand out with ur stupidity. hard to face the fact that ur dream lover will never stick his cock into ur mouth u disgusting ooze, as hes too busy getting raped by nadal and djokovic at every bigger event haha
@DiastoleSystole And I don't know where you get your facts from. The matches length was 5 hours and 53 minutes and not 5 hours and 33 minutes. If it was such a close match on Nole's favorite surface, where he beats Fed clearly in 3 sets two times in a row, then we have to admit that this finally could have gone either way.Sure I'm glad that Nole won and I think he deserved it,but I'm fair to say that Rafa could have won,too considering that they played a tight match which lasted almost 6 hours.
@DiastoleSystole Lol. On the other hand, Nadal has never been raped like Federer (6-2, 6-1) in Abu Dhabi at the end of the year 2011.He actually won an exhibition in Bogota and has seen several matchpoints.Let me remember you about the last two meetings of Djokovic and Federer in Australian Open.Djokovic won both matches clearly 3-0,Nadal lost in 5 sets leading in the 5 th 4-2 30-15.It was very, very close. And do you really think Federer is a bigger threat in the FO than the king of clay Nadal?
ONE THING IS FOR SURE, FEDERER IS STILL THE BEST. HE IS JUST OLDER THAN DJOKO AND NADAL BY 4 YEARS AND 4 YEARS IS A LOT IN THIS SPORT. FED LOOSES HIS FOCUS BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE ISN T AS FIT AS BEFORE AND PUTS PRESSURE ON HIMSELF BUT ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, ESPECIALLY DJOKOVIC, CAN PRETEND BE BETTER THAN HIM. IF FED WAS 26 RIGHT NOW, U KNOW HE D STILL BE NUMBER 1 ;)
federer is 30 but surely not fading, nadal just played his 4th straight major final and his declining?!? muray is consistently in semis and getting beat only by the top 3, there are guys like ferrer, tsonga, del potro who are also very consistant so yeah this is the most competitive era of tennis ever, most experts would agree on that, while 6-7 years ago it was joke, big servers with no ground strokes like raonic, isner etc. would be major contenders back then now they cant pass first 3 rounds
@Killuminati1996 Tennis was very competitive 6-9 years ago, just like it is now. The top guys are better now though, large in part to how high Federer set the bar.
anotehr bullshit from fagerror fangays, tennis was the biggest joke 8 years ago, no real conteders, roddick hewit, nalbandian were his biggest rivals, and safin who could easily beat him when his head was on. muray today cant win a slam despite constantly reashing semis and finals due to competition, i fagerrors times he would have 10+ slams easily
@serbianpupil you really must have just started watching tennis. Federer was not serving well in this match, and just gave it away in the end. This is a guy at 30 playing at a high level and he was not even playing his best
@astrobc1 True fans watch for the delight of points. Fans will always have that one special player and even though that player may loose or even suffer a hard defeat, will remain fans. I still watch old matches that Federer had with Nadal back in 2007, the matches when Nadal won. That doesn't make me a Nadal fan. I would like to see Federer is getting pressured and doing well.
Djokovic had a back injury during the whole US Open and was about able to play 70-80% of his performance capability. He was still too strong for all his opponents.I just ask me how he'll play when he's 100 % fit.I don't think that Federer will have a chance! He admitted to have an injury since the beginning of the US Open and it was getting worse and worse! Here's the proof,Federer doesn't need to boast when he can't even win against an injured Djokovic!
djoko is just a machine maybe hes one of the best player actually but hes human and there are no body in the world which can support this intensity of game. I dont think he can stay at the top during two or 3 years.
He's just powerfull and roger is powerfull too but relax and class that's the big difference.
@justtuan96 I would say there are other players who can make Djokovic struggle other than just Federer. Berdych has a good record of taking sets off Djokovic in their meetings recently.
Murray served for the match in Rome vs Djokovic last year before losing in a final set tiebreak. Then he beat him in Cincinnati.
@justtuan96 Lol, are you kidding? Federer would probably fail in three sets against Djokovic in Australian Open, Rafa put up a great fight and lost a tight match in 5 sets. If someone can beat Djokovic right now, then it's surely Nadal! He's the biggest threat for Djokovic right now! And I even say this as a Djokovic fan!
@serbianpupil the way federer plays actually gives him a chance against djokovic. he can beat anyone, just has to be on. djokovic sorta has nadals number. nadals heavy lefty forehand to djokovics backhand pretty much does nothing. and nadal cant really change too much about how he plays. federer on the other hand can do everything in the game, its just a matter of what he chooses to do and if hes able to execute it to perfection that day.
@serbianpupil Remember how Djokovic brushed Murray aside last year? Well this year he took him to 5 and had the chance to break in the fifth, don't write him off, he may yet do a 'Djokovic'.
@2601andrew Lol, on the other hand Djokovic lead 5-2 in the fith and should have finished it earlier. Did Murray win? Yes or no? In the end only wins matter, so he or you can't buy anything with the fact that he lost a tight match!
@serbianpupil I'm sorry, but Federer has a better chance to beat Djokovic than Nadal does. FO and USO 2011 Fed gave much better matches to Nole than Rafa did.
@3timeMVPNash Yeah, that's why he's been raped 6-2, 6-1 by Nole in Abu Dhabi while Rafa is gonna play on his favorite surface on clay.Nadal is the king of clay, even if Nole won the last 7 meetings against him,he'll have to play at his best and even better than before to beat Nadal. You're actually not sorry, you're just trying to support Federer while being subjectiv.Rafa took two sets from Nole and almost won the match in AO,while Fed failed to win a set against Nole in AO the last 2 meetings.
@serbianpupil I could flip that around and say that Fed beat Nole at the French and took two sets off him at the USO while Nadal didn't take a set on clay and only took one set off Nole. It is COMPLETELY rational to say that Fed has a better chance of beating Nole than Rafa does because we have seen that Rafa cannot hurt Novak. But Roger can because he is more aggressive.
2006 therer were only Hewitt and Rodick no Nadal(that time he was only clay specialist) no Djokovic or Murray( both were just started break through),Djokovic beat the best 2 players ever (6-0 vs Nadal 3-1 vs Federer) 2011.Even Mcenroe said Djokovic's record was better than his. This era is toughest era ever. It was almost imposibble result what Djokovic did this year.
u dumb bro? this match is declared the best of 2011 go check atp offical site and u say its dire just because ur gay lover lost...u faggoter fanboys are hilarious
@MrDarksword123 its a retarded joke from some stupid video game, some moron posted it on youtube and now fuckin imbeciles are spamming every youtube video with that shit its so fucking annoying I see that shit on every fucking video
@Killuminati1996 you got that right, damn straight it's annoying, it's not even funny it's just gay and annoying, pretty much every video i go to i see that shit
why federer is the best? cuz to beat him, the other players have to play 200% to achieve the same tennis level, but you can also look how federer ended the 2011 season - WITH NO INJURIES! thats why the top10 players are fucked up, cuz they need to do more than their bodies can handle. it's simply magnificent how federer manage his schedule along the year. i admire him a lot for this. his simply the best!
Federer was very good for his 30's but he didn't play many matches like Djokovic or Nadal.
He lost before Semi-Final many matches except French Open.He didn't play many Davis Cup.If Djokovic didn't play Davis Cup after US Open,he wouldn't injury so badly.US Open Final 3rd set Djokovic was damaged his back.I believe Djokovic learnt he should think his health first.
I agree Federe is Great but you can't forget how Great Djokovic was 2011.

Not fair to conclude he is a superior player 'cause fedex is still playing at 30 to let rival fans come out with this assumption.
randykarmakum 1 week ago

Even Borg, McEnroe, Wilander and many other experts admitt this and that's why they say Djokovic's season was the best ever.
serbianpupil 3 weeks ago
@serbianpupil How is there more competition in this era? The top 4 is better than it's ever been right now but the rest of the field isn't exactly leaps and bounds ahead of the field that we saw from 2003-2007.

@DiastoleSystole But one thing I'm gonna ask you now. What's wrong with admitting right off the bat that you're a Federer fan? There is nothing wrong with that and I knew even before when I wrote you.Wether you're a Fed,Nadal or Djokovic fanboy, you always have to be objectiv. For me for example Federer is the GOAT.But as the best single season I would preferer Djokovic's season in 2011 cuz I'm relying on experts.I'm not subjectiv like 3timeMVPNash who would say Fed's season in 2006.
serbianpupil 3 weeks ago
@serbianpupil What "experts" are you relying on? It is completely debateable if Djokovic's 2011 season was the greatest ever, or if it was another year (Fed 2006, JMac 1984, whatever). Jesus Christ you always assume that I form my opinions out of blind passion as being a Federer fan, well newsflash, I don't.
3timeMVPNash 3 weeks ago
@3timeMVPNash Considering that you come up with some stupid mono stories and excusing everytime when Federer lose, I have to ask you something. Where do you get your informations from? My god, don't know where you get your informations from.
serbianpupil 3 weeks ago
@serbianpupil I said he couldn't beat Fed in a Slam between that time period, and in fact he did nothing of real note at the Slams between that time as well. Yes Fed lost three times to Nole in 2009 but he also beat him twice. Between AO2008 and AO2011 the H2H was 8-5 Fed.
3timeMVPNash 3 weeks ago
@3timeMVPNash Nole h2h in 2011 against Fed is 5:1!
serbianpupil 3 weeks ago
@serbianpupil And overall its 14-10. We don't really have to go over this - they have had a very even rivalry since the beginning. Nole has upped his game whereas before he couldn't get through Fed and Nadal, and full credit to him for that.
3timeMVPNash 3 weeks ago
@3timeMVPNash Even baby 18 years old pre-prime Djokovic took away a set from prime Federer in 2006 in their first meeting and won the set 6-2. They're rivaly is even. He used to beat him 4 times when he was at his prime and the pre-prime Djokovic a teenager, but since Djokovic became 20 years old, they're equal 10:10. The longer Federer plays, the more he will lose!
serbianpupil 3 weeks ago
@serbianpupil Cut him some slack he is like 31 soon lol. Haters always hate. Success is measured by number of slams, let wait for Djokovic to get 16 slams first then discuss. Remember Federer won in 2 generations to get 16, 4 in Nadal/djoker's era.

Baby djokovic at 18 took a set but how about old federer beat him and took many sets, and likely will win a few meetings in 2012 and 2013.
youziness 3 weeks ago
@youziness I'm not a fanatic.I'm an ordinary fan.Why did I say this?Lol,just because I'm tired of Fed fanatics saying imagine if Fed was at his prime right now. He's game actually isn't that much worse
serbianpupil 3 weeks ago
@serbianpupil Today he take many shortcuts by trying to play short points in slower surfaces which is like trolling tennis, different from his prime. Trying to hit approach shots and go net in this conditions without advantage in rallies to end pts. Even if he did so only the top can punish him. The much worse is only evident if he play top 10 players. He has schooled these kids for ages, revenge when he is old is normal. Thats the price to pay for staying in power for so long.

serbianpupil 3 weeks ago
@DiastoleSystole yes, but thats not the main reason for him losing, like his fans make it look like. he was still moving well on the court and played overal a very good match. back on pint, I also like when djokovic plays attacking tennis more with flatter shots, but this way he makes less errors and is more effective like u said. though he can still fire flat shots when needed. back then he had to be more aggressive cause he didnt have enough stamina for long rallies, now he can balance it out
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
@DiastoleSystole well I thinkdjokovic is one player who is not bothered wih that. he lost so many close matches against federer and nadal, but he rose above it and started beating them regularly. on the other hand federer got depressed after losing close matches on clay, and soon he started losing everywhere. the other also really tough player is del potro. he is not himself lately because of injury ofc, but mentally speaking he is right there with him
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
indeed, that was a pretty close match and could have gone either way. federer has always been struggling against nadal even on his best surface. it has a lot to do with macth up. nadals heavy topspin forhends bothers federers 1h backhend a lot and forces him to a lot of unforced errors. djokovic is not bothered by that and can defend aswell as him, that forces nadal to go out of his comfort zone and attack him, which he doesnt do aswell
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
u started first with the insults, I dont like using them unless Im offended. and again Im asking u why is nadal struggling mentally against him? did he struggle at 2010 us open? one must be very ignorant not to realise that its is a natural consequnce of him losing so many matches last year, ESPECIALLY those on clay. djokovic beating nadal on clay confrotambly is what turned aorund that rivalry and made nadal insecure against him.
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
my point here is that faderer still CAN play at the level of 2006, just cant do it consistently. consestincey is what separate top players from the others, ability to produce your best in every match, not just from time to time. faderer can play his best for a tournament, but not for a season. now when he plays hes best match, theres no way in hell he loses to anyone in 2006. today he did that at us open and lost. wimbledon 2008 aswell. australian open 2011 was also a great match by him
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
so the only player nadal is insecure against is djokovic. on the other hand, faderer choked on so many big occasions against various players that I cant even count them. he surely doesnt have a complex of djokovic, yet he choked 2 times against him. not to mention him constantly losing 5 setters on biggest events. nadal has a 15-3 record in five set matches and lost only two matches after winning first set on grand slam. how is that a menatally weak player u degenerated amoeba
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
@Killuminati1996 What other players? Nadal is Fed's ONLY problem, and it has been that way since he got over the Hewitt/Nalbandian problem in 2004.
3timeMVPNash 3 weeks ago
not really. players like del potro and tsnoga can beat him on any given day when they play their best, nalbandian still beat him in 2005 btw. what is considered to be his second best year. prime djokovic can surely beat federer when he plays his best. in 2207 djokovic as a teenager choked away 5 set points in his first grand slam final against prime federer. then proceeded to beat him 3 months later at ao.
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
@Killuminati1996 Fed had an ankle injury in TMC2005 and still came back from 4-0 down in the 5th and barely lost. Delpo and Tsonga are always dangerous, but Fed has proven that he can beat both of them (esp Tsonga at the end of last year).
3timeMVPNash 3 weeks ago
I could follow your logic and say djokovic was losing to federer and nadal because he had allergy to gluten and couldnt last in long matches, it also manifested with his breathing problems and forced to retire a few times. see how stupid is that? at the end of the day if u are fit anough to go out on the court and play, u have no rights to look for an excuse if u lose
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago 27
@Killuminati1996 I agree. So Djokovic won this fair and square,no exuses, lucky shots etc right?
PurpleHeater 1 week ago
I dont know what u mean by that, but if u are reffering to their last meeting and the return winner by djokovic on the match point then u clearly doesnt know anything about tennis. By lucky shot can only be considered the one when u hit the net cord and the ball rolls down into opponent's field, or when u hit a mooball which falls on the line, or any shot u clearly had NO CONTROL while hitting it. Every winner requires A LOT of control, power and precision, especially a return winner.
Killuminati1996 5 days ago
@Killuminati1996 And at the AO2008, Fed was in the prime of his mono which clearly affected him. After that Djoko couldn't really beat him until the USO2010.
3timeMVPNash 3 weeks ago
those stories about mono are really washed up and blown out of proportion. look, the person with mono cant even stand for long time, let alont play tennis. it goes with high temperature and feaver and it requires rest. federer was clearly fit enough by then and it didnt affect him. IM tired of these ignorant fans always searching for excuses when he loses, sickness injury blah, blah, thats bulshit, ur idol is not a god and he can lose a match too. get back to earth

@Killuminati1996 Finally, someone with common sense!
s900203 2 weeks ago
@Killuminati1996 it isnt actually claimed that he played the AO in 08 in the acute phase of mono, but he was bedridden 2 weeks prior. hence his pulling out of kooyong. yes he was clearly fit enough to play the tournament but he wasn't 100%. i see your "dont let the truth get in the way of sportsmanship" point made frequently but its overly romantic to think every tennis match is determined purely by "being the better man". federer is indeed far from a god, athletes get sick too.
butterflycaught900 1 week ago
Many of his fans DO claim sickness as a MAJOR reason for his loss, hence my earlier comment. Surely not always the best player wins the match, otherwise number 1 seed would win every tournament, but the player who wins is clearly better on that day, for one reason or another. Tennis is quite simple in that department, the guy who plays better on the day wins the match, thus theres no place for excuses.
Killuminati1996 5 days ago

So it's so silly that you're trying to excuse this.
serbianpupil 3 weeks ago
@DiastoleSystole Fed was playing some of his best tennis at the end of last year, especially in Paris. And all that aside, what is he going to do, say that he is over the hill and make himself a target? The bottom line is that when Federer is on he is still capable of extraordinary things.
3timeMVPNash 3 weeks ago
again when being totally dismantled and owned by facts, u are resorting back to insults. how pathetic. fagerror hasnt beat nadal on a grand slams since 2007, and the only place he actually ever beat him is at his homeyard, wimbledon. its has nothing to do with nadal losing to djokovic. novak has developed to become superior player to both of them, and if u say nadal is shaky against him, theres a reason for that. djokovic OUTPLAYED him everytime they played and made him feel shaky as he is
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
where limits of human body are constantly raised. the difference between him now and 2006 beyond the competition, is that he still can play a match or even a tournament on that level, as he showed at RG and us open, but cant play whole season that way. still he plays his best on grandslams, and if it wasnt for nadal and djokovic he would still be winning them. but tha fact that other players like tsonga and del potro can also challenge him on slams show how tought todays competition is
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
u just confirmed my point even further. first of all I never said he sucks, just that hes overrated. faderer winning at RG shows he can still beat top players. why? because he can still play at the top level, just cant be as consistent due to competition, and partially his age. faderer actually IMPROVED from his heydays, and he himself admitted it. his match against djokovic was probably the best he ever played on clay. 30 years is not that old in professional sports especially these days.
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
muray is not mentally tough but still loses only to top 3 at slams which shows he is consistent. in faderers era he would have much less competition and would be able to win slams. faderer is also mentally weak, he shows that in every big match, so this is another proof. he could win back then as he had no real pretender who could challenge him on EVERY slams. roddick who is joke of a player was in 3 wimbledon finals against fim and barely lost
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
haha idiot u are so retarded its not even funny. u are talking about player who won 10 slams and is considered to be amongst the toughest mentally, nadal, to be weak and melt down? u are fuckin idiot who deserve to be shot. nadal won so many matches because of his mental and physical toughness, outlasting faderer so many times because of that. he loses ONLY against djokovic because hes being outclassed and he cant do nothing about it.
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
I dont give a fuck what atp says, but there is a one thing called common sense and it tells that a match with so many quality strokes and dramatic turnarounds simply cant not to be great. atp surely promotes nadal, faderer or even muray more then djokovic cause they have more fans, but still the fact that match was declared number 1 despite faderer losing must mean something. I follow tennis for 20 years which about as double ur age so think before u say some shit dum ignorant imbecile
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
I do not even like djokovic as much as I hate fagerror and his ignorant fangays. apparently u are trying to hide that u are one of them as u are being heavily overwhelmed by the facts u cant oppose. by calling me gay, its more then obvious that u also try to hide ur own sexual frustration and obsession for fagerror, as u are uncomfortable to publicly admit it.
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
why would u attack me then faggot, when I assault his fans only and theres a reason for that.
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
just because nadal and some other players perhaps play that way it doesnt mean its a trend moron. there are hard hitter like tsonga and delpotro, serve and voley is obsolate, there are players like lodra, stepanek but how successful are they today? in 90's u could win slams that way, now u must have complete game. I never said sampras was a joke fuckin idiot, he had good strokes, but played a lot of sv as it was effective, today he would have to adjust cause he would get passed most of the time
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
fagerror era was a joke because he was the only consistent player of his generation. others wre just like females today. how many players were consistently reaching semis and finals of slams when he was at the top? it made a job a lot easier for him. the fact that novak is dominating now with other top 3 breathing behind his neck and forcing him to beat them at every tournament in order to win is astonishing. also not to mention other dangerous players, big servers, hitters who can beat anyone
Killuminati1996 3 weeks ago
bullshit. most commentators are against novak supporting other players. this is the most competeitive era and just about every expert will tell u that. why? top players are consistantly reaching semifinals and finals of the biggest events. are u saying that female tennis is competitive because anyone can win a slam? u are just retarded. thats called consistency or the lack of it. the top players are more consistent then ever in the ,male tennis.

Killuminati1996 1 month ago 2

Does anyone else watch matches like this and still root for Federer even though you know he loses?
astrobc1 1 month ago

He's just powerfull and roger is powerfull too but relax and class that's the big difference.

hattrickster33 1 month ago
@justtuan96 I would say there are other players who can make Djokovic struggle other than just Federer. Berdych has a good record of taking sets off Djokovic in their meetings recently.
Murray served for the match in Rome vs Djokovic last year before losing in a final set tiebreak. Then he beat him in Cincinnati.

TheRafaelBond 1 month ago

2601andrew 4 weeks ago
@2601andrew Lol, on the other hand Djokovic lead 5-2 in the fith and should have finished it earlier. Did Murray win? Yes or no? In the end only wins matter, so he or you can't buy anything with the fact that he lost a tight match!

@serbianpupil I'm sorry, but Federer has a better chance to beat Djokovic than Nadal does. FO and USO 2011 Fed gave much better matches to Nole than Rafa did.
3timeMVPNash 3 weeks ago
@3timeMVPNash Yeah, that's why he's been raped 6-2, 6-1 by Nole in Abu Dhabi while Rafa is gonna play on his favorite surface on clay.Nadal is the king of clay, even if Nole won the last 7 meetings against him,he'll have to play at his best and even better than before to beat Nadal. You're actually not sorry, you're just trying to support Federer while being subjectiv.Rafa took two sets from Nole and almost won the match in AO,while Fed failed to win a set against Nole in AO the last 2 meetings.
serbianpupil 3 weeks ago

It was almost imposibble result what Djokovic did this year.

why federer is the best? cuz to beat him, the other players have to play 200% to achieve the same tennis level, but you can also look how federer ended the 2011 season - WITH NO INJURIES! thats why the top10 players are fucked up, cuz they need to do more than their bodies can handle. it's simply magnificent how federer manage his schedule along the year. i admire him a lot for this. his simply the best!
phoxzinhu 2 months ago
@phoxzinhu
Nobody won 3 Grand slams and 5 Master before.
