@tmanxxxx He sounded serious. Maybe he's right, technically. They might not NEED it, but that just makes it sound like if you're a writer and feel like you could use guidance then you must suck.

@DeterminedGoat yeah i think a writer has to seek out advice. there was a time where i was 23, writing shit that i thought was amazing and everyone tried to give me advice, but i'd waive them off. when i finished a couple more novels and didnt get anywhere, i was like maybe i should listen to what other people have to say because it might be the difference between being a writer in a bubble compared to someone accessible to more than just myself.
