  • I think his screaming is more of a 'look at me! I'm flying!' thing. He's proud. Good on you for letting him fly. My quaker Charlie used to have the run (or flight) of the house whenever someone was home. It used to be funny when I would leave the room and he would go looking for me, and we would collide in a doorway, resulting in an unscheduled landing on my face. (no birds were harmed, but my face was). My housemate accidentally let him go November last year. Pluto reminds me of him.

  • @verticalsmurf Im sorry bout the lose of ur quaker parrot! I had one.and he was at my Aunt's house and got loose!Im getting one in a few months!I'm excited,I cant wait!!!

  • @Fancifulgoddessanime - I appreciate your comment, but keep in mind that getting another Quaker doesn't mean you will be getting the same bird again. They are living creatures with their own personality.

  • @verticalsmurf I know,Im praying for one with a greate personality!I have a good feeling about it!

  • How do you train your quaker parrot to fly to you?

  • It is not a case of training Pluto to fly to me. More of a case of trying to keep him off me when his wings grow out. :)

  • My Quaker, Michio, does the exact same thing when his wings start growing out!
