Another cool thing i'm noting the more i listen to the white stripes, on the record, they sound like a really pissed off blues band, but live they sound like garage rock, i'm not any particular fan of garage rock bands, but i fucking love the white stripes, and its interesting to see how they translate their songs, for being the simplest band on the planet, there's a pretty significant difference translating their songs from record to live setting.

More recently the Dead Weather @ The Pageant (all St. Louis venues). Don't make the same mistakes I have. I could never get enough of The White Stripes. I can only say that about two modern bands. The other one being the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Stadium Arcadium had a LOT more filler than Icky Thump, so fuck... it won't be the same without Frusciante, and the Dead Weather is real good, but man... MORE STRIPES! That's all I have to say. Jack and Meg need to go on tour again so I'm able to catch the first show I really want to see, lol.

I will agree that his crestwood gives the song more depth (and a more badass feel) I think his variety in guitars as well as sounds make him a great guitarist. I personally love his philosophy on guitars and how they shouldn't be treated as prized possessions but beat up and thrown around to give them attitude much like people. I will say my favorite guitar of his is his Archtop.
