So much of what you say is pure bullshit that if I tried to comment about how its wrong, youtube wouldnt let me because itd be some 10,000 characters long... But I will say this: Jesus is religion. Religion is the belief in a higher deity or power; A God. You believe Jesus to be Gods son which therefore means you must believe in God.. WHICH IS RELIGION. Also, every religion says "believe this or go to hell" there are some 500 religion. All man-made. What makes yours right? Odds are none are.
You know, AmericanWayne, it isn't a smart idea to threaten an atheist with hell. You're committing the Appeal to Consequences Fallacy, and these are consequences which you can't prove are real. And no, the Bible isn't proof that the consequences are real. It's a religion - you have a right to practice it but it makes no sense to assert it as absolute truth.
@AmericanWayne : I know it's hard, but it's time to realize you aren't as smart as you think you are. read a science magazine for one, your arguements make no sense. I feel sorry for you, that you can just waste your life, thinking that you don't matter and only some invisible man does. Kinda pussy if you ask me
@AmericanWayne ...An omnipotent omniscient being would not be so concerned about if we believed in it's existence but the content of our character and how we treat our fellow humans. But, if humans are trying to sell a lie or manipulate masses into action, then belief becomes the highest priority. It's better for those in power to have religious unquestioning sheep than to have people able to reason for themselves. Why else is it such a crime to even question god or his existence?
@AmericanWayne Nothing indicates the human authorship of religion, especially that of Christianity, more than the necessity of belief. 9:29-10:05 is the crux of the argument. If god were real, why would belief in him be the one thing worthy of saving you from hell? Why is god so determined to not reveal himself to us? Why is god and our imagination so incredibly similar? Religion is the best tool man has made to enslave other people minds. It grants enormous power to its leaders.
I was going to argue with you on a number of points here, but I decided that you're just really stupid and probably wouldn't understand no matter how eloquently I phrase it.
If God,whoever he or she is does not know if we are going to heaven or hell and that is why it test us,why call it God.Seems if he was all knowing he would already know where we are going, kind of stupid to prove yourself to something that already knows what is going to happen.
@philosophicalreason Exactly. This makes a paradox. If he already knows if you're going to heaven or hell from before you even start existing, why bother worshiping him? Your fate is already sealed either way.
so if I save the entire human race and kill Satan himself and stopped Hitler and Moe, I will still go to hell if I happen to not believe that god kill himself to make himself forgive humanity?
What you saying may not be religion but it sound like something far worse.
@abarrathemaster That is an interesting statement, first off you can't kill Satan or Hitler(considering he is dead) and you can't get to Heaven by killing people, so yes you will go to Hell unless you accept Jesus. We do not have salvation by works. Once we accept Jesus, we are rewarded for our good works in Heaven though. It's a choice you must make and no one can do it for you. He died on the cross to show His love for us not to "kill himself to make himself forgive humanity."
Here, folks, is someone that thinks they can use a lot of religious words that are meaningless like "atonement of Jesus Christ" and thinks it means something. Christianity is a religion, by definition.
Christianity is a structure, built to last but the slightest disaster can destroy it's foundation. Gaurding that structure are billions of gaurds, idiots known as christians, who fight it with their lives. Because of these idiots outnumbering the intelligent people, they are able to keep it's structure maintained. Same metaphor can be said of all religions.

@Kabku There's no point in discussing imaginary concepts and whether they are right or not. Either the persons claiming these stupid ideas come up with proof of their existence, or I throw it away. It seems too retarded, corrupt, and illogical for the ideas of Christianity to be reality.
@Shadowriku40 If you can prove where matter came from. Meaning what created matter scientifically and that it wasn't god then I might consider dropping my faith. The Big Bang only explains the creation of the universe but not the creation of matter. We as christians have the explanation for where that matter came from, however you don't. Thus your no god theory has holes. Prove to me there isn't a god.
@Kabku God doesn't want you to go to hell, he gives you entire lifetime to accept his son as your lord and savior. The wages for sin are death, but if you turn your life to Jesus you will be saved. However if you chose to rebuke Jesus then Jesus won't let you into the kingdom. Hell is a scary place its so scary that god wants you to believe in Jesus so that you may escape that destination. Don't look at Hell as a punishment but as an incentive to trust the lord and believe in Jesus.
@motorboat93 But seeing how everything is foreseen and known by God, why does he create people he knows will go to hell? It's like a person in a poor economic situation making children, knowing they may be disadvantaged. Except God would know for sure that you weren't going to make it. Seems worse.
I don't think people should have to get an incentive not to 'sin'. Your morals should be what you make of them. The world around us and our own minds should decide what's right & wrong.
@Kabku Correct God is all knowing but we have free will. God knows the outcome of every choice you will make. He doesn't set a person up to fail, because God can't fail and he holds you up. Think of it this way you have a child reaching to touch a hot glass you know the outcome but you allow the child to touch the glass to learn the consequences. The child learns what hot means, now to extrapolate this you as an individual must learn where your sin will take you before you chose god.
@Kabku The world around us needs a set base of laws though, without set laws individuals wont create morals. That is to say if murder was legal we would grow up with a morals that allowed us to look at murder as okay. God created those set laws called the 10 commandments and the other morals set by God and Jesus in the bible. When you don't commit a crime you don't go to jail. Thats the incentive is that you don't go to jail. There is always a reward for doing the right thing remember that.
@Mectrixctic Not really, the laws set forth by god are superior to our own laws that we have made up. They may not be modern laws but they were actual practiced laws at some point in history. Just because adultery for example isn't an enforced law in America doesn't mean you get to commit it. The lord's laws are superior to all.
Show me how not worshipping YHWH is objectively wrong. Tell me what is wrong with an agreed open marriage. Also, show me what is wrong with eating pork and shrimp.
@Mectrixctic Tell me what is wrong with murder, adultery, and theft. You wouldn't do those but you'll claim that is due to your morals. However those three are also outlawed by the lord Jesus. You can't pick and choose what to agree with and what not to agree with his laws. I can't tell you what is wrong with pork and shrimp. However an agreed open marriage is wrong because it goes against the sanctity of marriage. Why marry if you want to fool around with others. If you deny God you welcome Hell
You are a complete moron. Your sky daddy Jesus didn't invent those laws, they existed centuries before in Egypy and Mesopotemia. There is no sanctity to mariage, only the value people place on it.
Also, if Islam is true, you are going to hell too. Yippee!
@Mectrixctic Well its nice to know that you think I am a moron, I will not insult you at all. I think you misguided and needing to find Jesus but I won't insult you. Christianity isn't about winning an argument or insulting someone. You will think what you will and I will think what I will. I know there is a god, and you know there isn't. I can't seem to find the words to change your mode of thought but one day you will die and you will meet Jesus. If you don't accept him before then...good luck
@Shadowriku40 No I understood his point entirely, he was questioning the perfectness of God. He questioned his creation practices, and supposed that God creates people just to fail. I explained how that wasn't true, because we must realize the consequences of our actions before we can truly come towards the lord. Morals must come from somewhere, he thinks that he should be able to decide in his mind what is and what isn't right. It doesn't work that way, Lord's laws are the original morals.
This video is great, man! Great responses to some of the Arrogant Atheist's erroneous claims. God's elect are attacked constantly on two fronts: the works based religion folks on the one and the atheists and secular progressives on the other. Take heart, the truth of God will prevail! Also, mad props on including the Extol song for the intro! Hails!
Wow! It looks like all of the "Amazing Atheists" sheep hate this video that they mark down my own comments on my video. That's about all you can do when you don't have an intelligent response, I guess, so I don't blame you. I just hope someone watching this video receives a revelation of God's amazing grace. Thumbs up if you love the Amazing Atheist and hate Jesus! :)
@AmericanWayne Religion breeds competitiveness and sinful nature. Jesus however breeds salvation and a constant goal to work to. If you follow a religion you are guaranteed, but following Jesus you are guaranteed salvation and grace. Religion makes one sin, but Jesus makes one not want to sin to not dishonor god. Keep up the good work man!
Why is it that those against Jesus or any religion are so much more strongly opinionated and almost hostile than vice versa? I myself have conflicting beliefs in God and science so I'm not truly on any side of the spectrum. Is it that I don't feel strongly enough about one of them that I feel the need to hate on the other? Please give me an answer because I'm always appalled at what some people say.
@JChilly12 It takes more faith to be an atheist than to be a christian. Seriously it does when your an atheist you must explain every little thing, meaning you must create ways to disprove god at every turn.
What the fuck does the word "religion" has to do with anything? It's been translated and changed a million fucking times... It's an English word and is completely irrelevant in the discussion. Jesus organized the masses. He organized them around the belief in a higher being - that's called religion, you stupid fucking idiot.
Why the hell do people always think that the word "Religion" means Judeo-Christian religions?, there are thousands of other kinds religions with different origins.
So by your line of logic i could go commit gennocide, but as long as i believe in Jesus and the bible and the church. I won't have to suffer? "Nothing you do matters, its all about Jesus" I mean holy shit that's messed up man.
@Shadesixty he does not mean it like that his talking about Jesus teachings are all that matters Jesus teachings are about being a good person so being a good person is that matters sadly not alot Christians get that
It doesn't take apologetics to see that the monotheistic god is ridiculous. If such a being existed then there would be no doubt, there would be no decent, , we would all know it, none could deny it AND SO WE WOULDN'T EVEN BE HAVING THIS LAME ASS DEBATE IF YOUR GOD WAS REAL!
I'm not defending TJ but i do have a question, why couldn't God just forgive the wrong doers? Why did it demand a human sacrifice (Jesus) why go through all the red tape? Is it the vindictive need of others to know some people burn or is it God's injustice where he creates an action he resents then punishes his creations for partaking in said action? It just contradicts the whole "loving" "forgiving" "merciful" essence of it all.
@Curassus The wages for sin are death, that is from the Old Testament. Jesus came about to set our sin debt to zero. God didn't have to do this he could have let us stew in our sin. However because God loved us he created a plan so that we may actually have a chance at getting into heaven.
@Curassus No, originally people would sacrifice lambs to god, that is why Jesus is called the lamb of god. In a way I guess you could call it a human sacrifice in that it was God in the flesh, however he didn't truly die like a human would on the cross. God loved us and gave us Jesus, Jesus died for us so that our debt to god could be settled. Thus we actually have a chance to get into heaven now and be forgiven for sin. Its why in the bible its called an act of grace and not from our works.
@motorboat93 Why would we need a "chance" a loving God would let all his creations into heaven, not torment them for eternity. Plus Jesus preached hell, so therefore he's pretty evil in a sense. I don't care what you believe but in my stance if I was God i would not demand a sacrifice and i wouldn't need a loophole to let my creations into my kingdom, i would let them in regardless...
@Curassus But you aren't God so you tell God what he should do. Also Jesus preached salvation through God, when he preached Hell he preached it as a consequence for not following God. I doubt I will change your mind on any of this and that is fine you have free will. But give Jesus a chance if you believe in him and your wrong then nothing happens. However if you don't believe in him and your wrong you get cast into the lake of fire. It is like an insurance policy for your soul, why chance it?
@motorboat93 It's fine, what you just said was pascals wager (what if Allah is God and you go before him and he asks what's with this son of God crap?) and I'm not trying to disprove god, I never will it isn't my job as an atheist to disprove God. When I see evidence I will, I'm just curious to the christian position. So do you believe out of fear of hell?

Actually "Torment" is not what hell is like according to the bible. It was made up by medieval morons and perputrated by modern morons, like Jack Chick and your friend Motorboat.
@Curassus Your question is truly hard to answer, I don't if you are asking because you are actually curious? Or, just to disprove God either way I would suggest asking a priest or pastor. The only thing I could tell you is that Jesus sacrificed himself so that we may find salvation through him. For a perfect being humbled himself on the cross and took our punishment.
I don't like how you deliberately refrain from defending Jeffry's(?) statement "While he (Jesus) was dangling on that cross, he was thinking of you" or even including TJ's answer to that, but skip to the next part immediatly. I suppose you cannot approve of that statement either.
Part of a personal relationship with Jesus is following his word. The first step is to accept Jesus as your lord and savior or nothing will make sense beyond that. You must then acknowledge your sins and repent. You must then live your life for Jesus, meaning you must follow his word and live a "righteous" life. There is no excuse for even thinking of breaking the 10 Commandments (Commands). Gouge out your eye or chop off your hand if necessary. Biblical rules are not part of a religion.....:/
"It is still good to help out in the soup kitchen but it won't score any points with God. Only faith in Jesus will do."
Those are some backwards priorities. I wouldn't follow a god like that, like I don't vote for Democrats on the basis that they're the lesser of two evils.
You don't think the threat of hell against the choice to believe is a binding threat? If religion means 'to bind', it still seems to fit the bill to me.
see but if you have to explain it then the poet failed in his endevor. I get what you are saying but even the poet contradicts himself by both condeming the church then saying he believes in the church. and while it is true that jesus often sought to seperate himself out from religion...look at what religion has done with jesus and the word of god? it's a mockery of the good name of jesus and yet this poet truely makes no major division between the two it takes you for this poem to even work.
it's fascinating how much effort you put into this. you seem to have actually convinced yourself, that even though you have religious beliefs and you preach religious beliefs, you don't think you're religious. I never thought I'd see this. I didn't think that was possible, because I used to think that even the craziest religious folks would at least realize that they're religious.
Religion is the set of man-made rules and regulations that not only limit God, but also project a false image of His true nature. Remember the “religious Pharisees”? Notice the fact that they were religious and were the very people who Jesus did not mirror.
@AmericanWayne If Jesus was so vehemently opposed to religion wouldn't he strictly forbid his disciples to organize into a new cult (religion) so that his mission could go according to God's plan down the line? He surely knew what would happen and accordingly must have left proper instructions, help of the holy Spirit, or even strict orders to prevent the emergence of a new religion. Perhaps religion was part and parcel of his mission, or how do you account for the subsequent triumph of xianity?

@JayDee284 Thanks, man. This video was mostly made for his flock that will, most likely, watch this video. Most of them do exactly what they claim Christians do and blindly follow the musings of a preacher. I just want them to know that Christian apologetics is not TJ's strong suit and he should probably stick to talking about things he understands. Also, I am hoping that some of them have a revelation of God's grace through this video.

Show me how not worshipping YHWH is objectively wrong. Tell me what is wrong with an agreed open marriage. Also, show me what is wrong with eating pork and shrimp.
Mectrixctic 4 weeks ago

Yippee!
Mectrixctic 4 weeks ago
@Mectrixctic Well its nice to know that you think I am a moron, I will not insult you at all. I think you misguided and needing to find Jesus but I won't insult you. Christianity isn't about winning an argument or insulting someone. You will think what you will and I will think what I will. I know there is a god, and you know there isn't. I can't seem to find the words to change your mode of thought but one day you will die and you will meet Jesus. If you don't accept him before then...good luck

@motorboat93 You completely misunderstood Kabku's point.
Shadowriku40 1 month ago

Keep up the good work man!
motorboat93 1 month ago
Why is it that those against Jesus or any religion are so much more strongly opinionated and almost hostile than vice versa? I myself have conflicting beliefs in God and science so I'm not truly on any side of the spectrum. Is it that I don't feel strongly enough about one of them that I feel the need to hate on the other? Please give me an answer because I'm always appalled at what some people say.
JChilly12 1 month ago
@JChilly12 It takes more faith to be an atheist than to be a christian. Seriously it does when your an atheist you must explain every little thing, meaning you must create ways to disprove god at every turn.

What the fuck does the word "religion" has to do with anything? It's been translated and changed a million fucking times... It's an English word and is completely irrelevant in the discussion. Jesus organized the masses. He organized them around the belief in a higher being - that's called religion, you stupid fucking idiot.

Curassus 1 month ago
@Curassus The wages for sin are death, that is from the Old Testament. Jesus came about to set our sin debt to zero. God didn't have to do this he could have let us stew in our sin. However because God loved us he created a plan so that we may actually have a chance at getting into heaven.
motorboat93 4 weeks ago
@motorboat93 So God couldn't forgive us he had to demand a human sacrifice?
Curassus 4 weeks ago
@Curassus No, originally people would sacrifice lambs to god, that is why Jesus is called the lamb of god. In a way I guess you could call it a human sacrifice in that it was God in the flesh, however he didn't truly die like a human would on the cross. God loved us and gave us Jesus, Jesus died for us so that our debt to god could be settled. Thus we actually have a chance to get into heaven now and be forgiven for sin. Its why in the bible its called an act of grace and not from our works.
motorboat93 4 weeks ago
@motorboat93 Why would we need a "chance" a loving God would let all his creations into heaven, not torment them for eternity. Plus Jesus preached hell, so therefore he's pretty evil in a sense. I don't care what you believe but in my stance if I was God i would not demand a sacrifice and i wouldn't need a loophole to let my creations into my kingdom, i would let them in regardless...
Curassus 4 weeks ago
@Curassus But you aren't God so you tell God what he should do. Also Jesus preached salvation through God, when he preached Hell he preached it as a consequence for not following God. I doubt I will change your mind on any of this and that is fine you have free will. But give Jesus a chance if you believe in him and your wrong then nothing happens. However if you don't believe in him and your wrong you get cast into the lake of fire. It is like an insurance policy for your soul, why chance it?

Actually "Torment" is not what hell is like according to the bible. It was made up by medieval morons and perputrated by modern morons, like Jack Chick and your friend Motorboat.
Mectrixctic 3 weeks ago
@Curassus Your question is truly hard to answer, I don't if you are asking because you are actually curious? Or, just to disprove God either way I would suggest asking a priest or pastor. The only thing I could tell you is that Jesus sacrificed himself so that we may find salvation through him. For a perfect being humbled himself on the cross and took our punishment.
motorboat93 4 weeks ago

I wouldn't follow a god like that, like I don't vote for Democrats on the basis that they're the lesser of two evils.

see but if you have to explain it then the poet failed in his endevor.
TheBadcop69 1 month ago
it's fascinating how much effort you put into this. you seem to have actually convinced yourself, that even though you have religious beliefs and you preach religious beliefs, you don't think you're religious. I never thought I'd see this. I didn't think that was possible, because I used to think that even the craziest religious folks would at least realize that they're religious.
ayrea 1 month ago
Religion is the set of man-made rules and regulations that not only limit God, but also project a false image of His true nature. Remember the “religious Pharisees”? Notice the fact that they were religious and were the very people who Jesus did not mirror.

AmericanWayne 1 month ago
