Why do they call it rhythmic gymnastics? Cause i've seen it a few times and it doesn't seem like they do many tricks like flips or stuff like that. I love watching rhythmic gymnastics and this was beautiful. It's just a question.
Anna is 5'9"/5'10" she is about 110 pounds which makes her under weight. Someone that tall should have an average weight of range of 150-165 and that's for someone that is small framed. *** BUT TO LOOK AT ANNA SHE LOOKS GREAT *****
absolutely great, I love Anna and her perfomances, they are so full of life and pasion and yet her work is so delicate and graceful ^^ does anyone know the name of the music?
shes a right size for her height, if anything shes too thin for 5'10. i think her figure is amazing, ofc she looks bigger than her older days because shes a woman now, she looks great
@justuser82 Oh please! She's a gymnast, an athlete, not an anorexic model who pukes to look like an underfed teenage girl. And no she's NOT fat. Those are muscles and those are completely normal for an Olympics-level gymnast.
Glad to see that the 70's and 80's ideal of being on releve is making a comeback! Now, if all the gymnasts finish their moves cleanly instead of taking a giant step out of their turns and balances I would be happy. How was that promenade on releve at the beginning? WACK!!!
In any case, out of all this bad practices, Derugina have more artistic talents to teach than Viner for me. Even if she certainly tried to reproduce in through the time the models of Skaldina and Timoshenko (Witrichenko/Serebrianskaïa then Godunko/ Bessonova...)
Anyway, i'm happy to debate with you about this things! I'm agree on many point you know? But i think event with a mistake and bad rutins, Timoshenko still the queen at this time... If not i'm agree for Pascual: beautiful line and flexibility, good element and difficulties... But not Skaldina! I didn't know she didn't want to shake Pascual hand... So stupid!
i thought about all around world or European championship...She could win just if one of the Russian do a big big big mistake... And do you know what was RG before? Cause if you don't see the difference of before and after 2000 there is a problem. Just after manipulate totally Sydney's games (oh my god it was so...; terrible...)she pushed for change drastically the code on the basis of Russian corporal style... Bye Bye to the appartus technic and choreography!
I don't know... Even with the bad pasts of Derugina, it appear me as really nothing compared to how Viner totally transformed the sport. The 2000 code is her, and it hurt so much about what was the essence of gymnastic rhytmic... Today I love Bessonova, but i still think that she's in jail under this code, like all the other gymnast. I am reactionnary! lol
What you said is not false! bad behaviour are part of RG history, as for skating... But, even Derugina made such bad stuff, I think she bring more to RG than Viner.. She teach a graceful RG, where beauty of the gesture is the more important... With Viner, there is any artistic skills or choregraphy, all is about physical quality until excess...
I don't know much about the technicalities of scoring, but to me this is an exquisite routine. Her focus is superb, her movements are fluid and graceful, and her performance is, overall, masterful.
Natalia Ishenko used similar music in her solo in the 2005 montreal synchro meet. I love seeing two different people from different sports use the same music...both are so beautiful!!! I love Anna Bessonova.
I adore the costumes in rhythmic gymnastics.

It's true that her rutins of 1992 was perhaps her worst! But Skaldina's music and style can't fight, and Petrova as too... "little". Pascual?

For me the only real good gymnast that Viner made is the first one, Batyrchina... After it drived caricatural...
But Viner made Timochenko...(I don't really like Skaldina!), formed Vitrichenko and Serebrianskaia, Yerofeeva, Bessonnava and Godunko...
Anyway, the only goddess of RG trainer still Nechka Robeva.
