  • i still have analog up here in gosford, nsw

  • wow, the australian english is so weird :)

  • What are we going to with althose VHS VCRs which were used in the analogue days?

  • @martbd They are still being used, Just being sold real cheap

  • I think they should of cut the Anlogue signal during early mrning programs between midnight and 6am instead of after the breakfast programs, like the pay tv operators do their maintenance at that time not when people are glued to the box.

  • @martbd then i wouln't have been able to capture the moment, This time of morning was the right time, Communications Minister was in charge of it anyway

  • @HDXFH Record it to VHS & transfer to HD, then upload to Youtube the next day.

  • wow mildura has already turned off analouge tv? i live in the western suburbs of melbourne and as far as i know we have another 3 years left with analogue tv

  • Why Mildura first?

  • @BigMaxTube Because we're well prepared, ant we've never had much of a choice of TV channels, before then

  • So ABC TV Mildura wast the last one standing with the Digital Swtich over phone number .

  • Damn, owell :( You going to buy a LCD or set top box?

  • @mattyvt93 I Already have a Set Top Box, And the tip is actually going to dismantle all the TV's and sort each part for recycling, Glass tubes PCB's etc, Instead of going to landfill.

  • @HDXFH Ahh nice! Thats quiet a good idea too.

  • stupid gov't forcing everything down our throughts! i wan't to smash in that happyface icon :P

  • @daewooparts - Yes but it will free up so much spectrum for improved broadband nationally (amongst other applicatoins). In this instance, change is a good thing. It had to happen some time and sooner is better than later.

  • @NinjarieBint then they should give out the converter boxes for free!,the spectrum users should pay for them!

  • @NinjarieBint yes but when cassette tapes or VHS tapes were superceeded by new technology, people bought their own equipment to deal with that upgrade. Set top boxes are only $50
