On the one hand, yes, the actress playing Murphy on TV rocked. On the other... Seriously, SciFi, you couldn't find a short, cute blonde actress? In LA?
I actually like Bob the tv character over Bob the book character. An human mind is simply much more engaging than an air spirit --or whatever exactly book Bob is.
Terry won him over. Terrence can talk you into walking into Hell if he felt like it. Seriously, I saw him in the Rocky Horror show in late 2001. He was FIFTY playing Dr. Frank and by the end I was like 'Tim Curry? Tim who?'
I think Bob was the best part of the show. I saw his Bob as a merger of the original book incarnation and Oscar Wilde's The Canterville Ghost, a story I happen to love.
he is the embodiment of a very successful guy who could give a crap if some people consider him a nerd. He is his own boss and he has had his book made into a series and he is not a sell out that moved to LA to further his networking prospects. And his books though meant as merely good popcorn have a real spirit of decency in them. Something others have noticed and he attributes to his father. I think the world needs more folks like Mr Butcher. And less that would simply dismiss him as a nerd
What I like about Jim Butcher is that he is really a decent guy. If you have seen how he treats people at signings and at the cons he is a kind humble guy and I he is before all else a guy who is a fan who loves that he is able to imagine and write for a living and he cares about his fans enough to be available to them with a kind, jumble and patient attitude. He is a guy I truly wish well.
Its funny I always read it as Meh-rat (like Merit) and Cah-Nim not Con-em and Mahrat the way he pronounces it. But its his book so I guess he's right.
The same thing happened with Hagrid and Hermione back in the day.

I liked Valerie Cruz all she needed was to be a blond. She could have worn a wig?! And Adrian Syaf does great art.
