@jettmanas he's not lei fang has been tormenting him for three tounaments now because he saved her life and she considered that demeaning. He's actually fairly chivalrous... notice that he didn't want to fight her because she was too weak and she said she wanted to fight. (by the forth tournamanet she finally beats him ending the vendetta only for him to piss off hitomi when saving her from a tyranosaurus rex.)

As for what's happening - and for those who haven't played DOA 3, Hayate and Ayane learn that Genra's turned to evil and they are hunting him as a traitor ninja. Genra, master of the Hajimon Sect of the Mugen Tenshin and Ayane's true master, and on a personal level, her father figure. So during the entire ordeal, she's pretty one-track minded and emotional. She wants to defeat Genra herself - that's why she fights Hayate. If it was against anyone else, she wouldn't have cared.

Not bashing on anyone but for those who think that Ayane is acting like a bitch, she genuinely has a reason to. All her life, she's been treated as a 3rd class member of the village, not worth anything, and she finds out later that she's actually a bastard child from a rape of the wife of the clan chief. So now, not only did everyone treat her wrong, but it was obvious that she wasn't wanted by many others as well. As well as her best playmate and friend and also half-sister, Kasumi.

O_O EPIC. I thought DOA was epic with its mystery & wonder, but now, the more apparent story makes it MORE EPIC THAN BEFORE, especially with the Vs. screen (17:20). This game's got real-time, CGI, motion stills, everything (artistically cool), and I just realized it's so user-friendly that I don't mind it if they make you control a particular character. It still requires skill if you want depth but your choice of character is more a matter of preference and interest. This makes the game FUN!

I love this game! I always thought Ayane was more quiet and mature, but she's so bratty and doesn't take shit in this one that it's turning me on. The fact Jan just kicked Leifang into exposing her panties also helps. I thought that dress would provide more cover but I guess if you kick her right!

The chapters are each linked to the mainstream DOA game that shares its number, so ou pretty much have to play those before understanding the story. I dare say the story is too convoluted to really explain in 400 characters.

Anyway, just a side note, I always thought Brad Wong doing some light flirting with Kokoro in DOA4 was only teasing and not real, but seeing his actions at 19:15 with Ayane just makes him look really, really creepy.
