  • wonderful... bring back the yodellers I say. I am doing what I can with my band No Comebacks. we are on line. .co.uk

  • I have some G H Elliott 9 inch 78s on the Broadcast label.Takes me back to great memories of my old man when he had had a few pints. He loved to yodel.

  • @Teddyb1939 I have all sorts of his records,he was singing before the first world war.

  • @longpast78 I believe I actually saw him at the Metropolitan Music Hall in the Edgware rd in West London I was very young, I believe he did a song called bobbing up & down like this.I know I saw old mother riley & her daughter Kitty Mcshane. My dad would spend most of the night in the bar & me & mum in the gods sitting on stairs,no comfort in the gods,.We would have travelled there by trolley bus.

  • @Teddyb1939 Underated natural vocalist.Old mother Riley was a gent who gave great enjoyment on the television many times when i was young. No one really earn,t a fortune,so there were many performers treading

the halls for a long time.In the New Year i intend to put more obscure 78s in with the Dance Band records.Thankyou again for the memories.

  • The later gold label Radio issues are not very common. G.H. Elliott's late Radio's are difficult to find.

  • Not a fan of Yodeling but Elliott makes it bearable.Funny enough i think Billy Elliott was the best vocalist i,ve heard,G.H.Elliott also one of the best.I like songs like Sally Of My Dreams and Carolina Moon which they both sung.
